Came here on the way to Eureka for the Redwood Acres County Fair. Food was decent, some items were delicious and some overcoooked and odd. Not really authetic Chinese food. What I comnsider Chinese American Food. For example, Peanut butter Chicken is a dish I found here in Northern Claifornia. Chinese people don't use peanut butter in authetic dishes. It was delicious nonetheless. Found the skewer chicken odd, it was full of red dye. Offered sushi whcih wasn't bad. Stafff was very friendly and came often to clear dishes and offer refill on drinks. Staff also walked around to clean the food serving station, food station was clean. I would come back here if I was in the area again. Nothing really stood out as something I wouldn't want to dcome back but the food was decent for the pricwe. And given tthis is the only buffet in the area, if I can't make up my mind on what to have for lunch, this buffet would be ok on my mind. read more

EXCELLENT! This place has more food and choices than you can even eat for an all you can eat buffet and all the food was really good! Nice & clean inside + quick staff clearing your plates. Nice cold beers. The price is so good for what you get! We even got a senior discount for 60+ which is really nice they do that. From every Chinese and other normal Asian dishes, salads, veggies, fruit, to soft serve ice cream, warm sugared donut balls, pudding & little cakes! I absolutely love this place! It's my favorite place to go to sit down and have a meal in the area. I love going there just to draw down abundance and get the flow going. It's got everything I need: the fortune cookies, the lucky money cat, all the California rolls I can eat. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Nothing like getting that home feeling when you walk in the door and they already know your drink order. I didn't take any photos because I ate my plate too quick. They had their typical Asian buffet style foods, like chow mein, egg rolls, potstickers, simple sushi, fried rice, steamed fish, seafood delight (my favorite), boa buns, fried fish, beef and broccoli, sweet n sour chicken, cream cheese wontons, a variety of desserts. But, they also had dim sum, sesame red bean balls (another favorite!) they had so much stuff. Oh and the variety of vegetables. They tastes so good! We literally went somewhere where ChatGPT told us to go the moonstone grill and spent so much for mid food then we only spent $36 here and it was so fresh and delicious! The restaurant was very clean and very well decorated. The staff was nice and thanked you when you left. They were very prompt when picking up your finished plates and bowls. read more

Surprisingly very good food, fried fish was amazing as were prawns and bbq chicken. The atmosphere was alive on the Sunday I ate here with local families, looked like the most popular place in town among locals! All the food was hot and fresh and very delicious, no old sat around dishes like many chinese buffets! We've been coming here for years. Before we lost our mom in 2019, this was one of her favorite places to eat out. It's nice to see that the full buffet is open again. They were closed for quite a while during and after the pandemic, only doing to go by weight. They are open for the full buffet again, and they still do to go meals by weight.. the place is very clean, and the people are friendly. They have a good selection. a salad bar, several soup, options, many different Chinese options, seafood, sushi, and a dessert bar with soft serve, pudding, tapioca, Jell-O, fruit, and other choices. You can eat as healthy or as fried as you want. They do have a good amount of vegetarian choices as well. I love the crispy peanut chicken. The sauce is delectable! the baked flounder was delicious, the eggplant and oyster sauce was a tiny bit spicy, but it was also delicious. They have more items on the dinner menu than they do the lunch menu. My favorite item by far, the coconut shrimp, is only served on the dinner menu. Dinner used to be all day on the weekends, but every day is now split up between lunch and dinner Prices are extremely reasonable. My dad said that he felt that his food was just warm. Extremely friendly staff, on top of refills and taking your plates with a clean location and not a bad selection of food for being way out in Humboldt county. I love the food here, it keeps me coming back; used to come 1-2 times a week when I lived closer. The sushi selection is very small and I miss their pre-pandemic sushi but I still enjoy it. Decent price for what you're getting but if you want to save a little cash, the lunch buffet is very well worth it. It's pretty decent for a buffet. The place is clean and has lots of seating. The attendants are very attentive, providing beverages and clearing plates. I think I threw them for a loop when I asked if they had rice vinegar for my hot and sour soup, which was full of veggies and a flavorful spicy broth, but needed more sour. There was a good variety of food and like all buffets there were hits and misses. I was impressed with the number of vegetarian entrees. Which really helps me as I'm allergic to shellfish. I got to have some clearly-labeled veggie sushi! I was a little disappointed with their miso and egg-drop soups - I didn't try them because they looked so watery. This wasn't bad at all. It's all hit and miss. But since i like oriental food, i enjoyed the dumplings, sweet and sour chicken and all the other things they offer. As soon as you get in, they let you take a seat and you can start with buffet. Drinks are also refilled by the waiters. Put your used plates at the edge so they can easily get them. Then you can start getting more food at the buffet table. When ready, ask for your bill and you can pay your bill through the waiters. This is an excellent buffet that serves up so much variety for a good price. You'll find Chinese and Japanese dishes available here (namely sushi), along with a salad bar, dessert, and countless other options. The dining area is sizeable and very well-staffed. The wait staff is constantly bussing tables and keeping the buffet clean. The food is tasty and worth the money. However, you won't get "top notch" sushi and it's not uncommon to bite into a piece of chicken that may be overly crispy. I've always been fine with that - leave the piece and move on to the next item. The various other options the buffet offers are worth exploring anyways. I enjoy my visits here. You'll be seated by the wait staff upon entering and they are the ones that handle beverages (so you must ask them for refills). Buffet is very tasty, clean, organized with a great staff. Service is always on point with a comfortable atmosphere. After closing time they give away free plates (styrofoam box) full of randomly chosen left over food from the buffet, instead of throwing it away. We LOVE their new COVID business practices! We order on the website and it's ready within 30 min usually. The prices are very reasonable. The food is cooked fresh to order and they give massive portions! So much better than the old buffet style! We are huge fans now! We went here on 420... and we are two healthy people who don't typically go out to eat, never mind dabbling in Chinese buffet. But we thought.. "screw it" let's give this place a try. It's been a long week. We saw the reviews so honestly weren't expecting much. We thought maybe there will be one hot bar and a dimly lit room. And I'm happy to say... we WERE WRONG! This place is indeed located in a sketchy strip mall but the interior is fresh, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. A few chandeliers, plenty of seating, and a HUGE buffet! There were dozens of healthy and delicious vegetarian dishes, as well as your nostalgic fried Chinese American choices (chicken on a stick, cheese wontons, chicken fingers). The service is fast, efficient and friendly! The food was so much more fresh than I was expecting. I mean it's a buffet people, you get what you get but as far as I'm concerned this place scores above most restaurants in this area. For the price point all you can eat you really can't go wrong. I absolutely love the Oriental Buffet. I have been coming here for many years and look forward to it. It is the perfect meal.

As a local this place is an essential solely due to the fact that you pay for what you get. It doesn't tout itself as a glamorous 5 star restaurant, it's a buffet consisting of food (mostly) originating from the orient, hence oriental buffet. It Is no P.F. Changs, but it is cheap and relatively quick food that usually ends up being pretty satisfying (especially when compared to the competition). It's certainly not everyone's speed, considering the basically non existent wait staff; they are there, they are just not doing anything, however this is often excusable because it's a buffet. The ambiance is the same as any lower end Chinese food place, which at least promotes a sense of familiarity. Moving on to the faults in no particular order, it is located in a fairly rough area. To add, The "dinginess" from the outside does follow you inside to some extent, as there are some clear signs that the cleanliness in the establishment leaves somethings to be desired. There are often dirty utensil used for self serve, and just as often the hot cases in which food is stored are often grimy beyond a point of which is reasonable, albeit all being food particles. Adjacently, Its evident that the equipment being utilized is either decrepit, perhaps obsolete, or malfunctioning. Many of the foods are room temperature at best, with many of the hot plates lending more to spectacle than functionality. While I personally have never gotten sick from this place, stories of bad shellfish and sushi, high grease saturation, and biological contaminants in the food (most notably hair) are commonplace with this establishment, albeit on the decline. In conclusion, it's difficult to give this restaurant an accurate rating as it's truly its own unique experience eating here. Perhaps not always the cleanest or most well kept, however the food certainly has more shining days than lukewarm ones. Furthermore, while the wait staff aren't super attentive, they are very polite and studious when you do interact with them. It is place you can consistently go and expect to pay less than $15, enjoy some unique cuisine, and be treated with a smile. In my honest opinion, those factors speak volumes. read more
