The first time I walked into this store was so meant to be. The warmth of the staff (not knowing I was speaking with a regional manager..I hope I got that correct bc you really whipped up a meal my allergy ridden body needed) is unreal. I am a busy hospice nurse case manager in the area and needed a quick work space and healthy option. They fed me, set me up with an office table with plugs available within reach to most tables/nooks...which is SO appreciated. I signed up for the membership instantly bc I knew if my stomach took to their healthy options that I could actually like cleaner options (that I am definitely loving and crave now). The eggs were over scrambled and rubbery. i paid for added feta and there was barely any , the avocado toast was not on toast but soggy bread, the sweet potatoes were dry. Love the comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The place is good to catch up with friends. Our meal was remarkably fresh and served promptly. Today is officially the last time I ever order from Organic Krush. The quality of their food has been going downhill for quite some time but today takes the cake. I got halfway through giving my son their Buddha Bowl only to find a dead fly! For a place that prides themselves on high quality ingredients, the last several times I've received food from them it has been anything but. I could let the fly slide as a one time thing but the fact that the kitchen is content with serving avocado that looks like this is not acceptable. I reached out to the manager and she had assured me she would talk to the kitchen to prevent it from happening in the future but the next time I ordered from them I received the same black dot riddled avocado. A search on DD for "salad" led me to OK. I liked their menu right away, and there are options in multiple categories. I got the pasta salad for the week. It's definitely a large portion, though I wish there had been more shrimp (top layer in photo was the only shrimp) and more side sauce. (I added my own feta, which I recommend.) I got the kale salad, which was pre-made but hearty. (There's at least $1 mark up from what the container says.) My partner's custom wrap, while small, was very good and fresh. Lastly, I splurged on a peppermint cold "hot chocolate," which was a healthier way to get my sweet tooth satisfied. I wasn't a huge fan of Organic Krush unfortunately. I came here around noon on a Tuesday to grab something to go for lunch while I was in town for work. I had never been to this location before so I needed a minute to browse the menu before deciding what to get. There were smoothies, salads, bowls of the sort and breakfast options so I decided to build my own, I guess they call this the Krush classic. I chose a brown rice tortilla. The guy behind the counter told me there were no gluten free wrap options, but I knew brown rice tortillas were gluten free nonetheless. I did the Austin chicken, which was roasted chicken, corn, tomato, cilantro, red onion and avocado. I swapped out the aioli for the lemon herb dressing instead. I had a seat and my order was ready in about 15 minutes. My total came to $19, which was extremely high for a wrap. They called my name and handed me a bag. There was a small container and inside the container was a wrap that was completely ripped and falling apart. All of the contents of the wrap were falling into the container, it was a mess. They didn't put the herb dressing in the wrap just gave me a side. No napkins, no utensils. It was impossible to eat. The chicken was brown and after a few bites I had to stop eating it. I was kind of grossed out. The avocado was hot, the whole wrap was, it just wasn't for me. It was extremely difficult to eat, and without utensils just a mess like I said. For $19 it was an absolute waste of money. I would recommend not getting the brown rice tortilla, the consistency is hard to make a wrap out of it, I know because I eat these tortillas at home a lot. Maybe for $12 I would have had a different opinion. Also the big bucket of cleaning solution and towels next to the salad bar was not a good look. I'm sure people love it here, it was just too expensive and poor quality. Also not putting anything in the bag like napkins or utensils when it's a to go order was a bummer. read more

I've been to 3 LI locations now, each time with a $40-60 bill. I want to like this location more so may try again. But I probably won't go if I have a gut feeling patrons aren't being safe. I'm not ready to put up a fight like Rocco. Keep in mind those eating at OK are either health conscious or have a gluten allergy. So they might be immune-compromised as well. I went with the Farmer Frittata. We sat outside while our order was being made. In the meantime one of the kind employees brought us our drinks. They have outside seating but we found a hidden garden nearby and ate there. My frittata was perfect. Fresh and simple ingredients. My only gripe was the utensils are not wrapped. "I HAVE NO IDEA." counter dude said as he began to stir the soups with such aggression that it seemed he were trying to get an answer out of the soups themselves. As the three of us stood in silence, save for the sloshing of the stirred soup, my wife inquired, "Could you ask somebody?" As if the idea hadn't occurred to the dude, he stomped off to the kitchen and yelled, "Are either of the soups vegan?" to the kitchen staff. Assuring us that both soups were vegan, my wife ordered one and I ordered the $15 fish tacos. Now comes the fun part! We waited. And waited. And waited. Close to 30 minutes later, we received our order. During that time. we witnessed the couple who were also waiting for their order, cancel it, due to the long wait time. We watched the family of four receive their dishes separately over the course of about 20 minutes; and we watched a couple enter and leave after they were ignored at the counter. In conclusion, the soup was delicious; I tried a spoonful. The juices were as expected. The wait? Ridiculous! For a, more or less, slow day. OH! Let me add that the cashier dude kept looking, like ten times, into two takeout bags as if the food was going to miraculously appear in them! Anyway. The fish tacos were also LAME! When I ate here this morning, I had the oatmeal pancakes. They took a while to come and when they did arrive, they were very undercooked. I ate one of the pancakes (I wanted to eat them because they were expensive and I didn't want to waste that money). I immediately felt very ill and threw up in the bathroom. After that, I immediately went home and have felt sick since. I was very unhappy especially becuase I have always loved Organic Krush and have previously had many positive experiences, particularly with their açaí bowls and superseed muffin tops.
