I went in with a lot of fear and complaints about places that claimed to do curly cuts and then would always walk me straight to the shampoo station and proceed to cut my hair wet. It always ended in a fine straight cut/bad curly cut. She said their first salon was called "Therapy" because it's a common story from curly-haired customers. She walked me through how to get more water into my curls for definition, that I needed a clarifying shampoo every so often, and that I was applying my products incorrectly (then taught me how to do it correctly for my curl type). She spent a lot of time talking me through what she was doing and how to get better results from my hair - both in definition and in multiple days of wear. It was really a life changing experience because now I feel confident in how to get this look again - and where I can finally go when I need a good haircut! read more

Then asked if I read the "page long" preparation for the cut. I nev received the email she was referring to because it went to spam. Red flag number 2. Then the rude stylist said, she could "cut my ends" with the hour and half remaining. i said I didn't drive all the way to Pasadena for my ends to get cut. She said "We're done!"
