I've had to use Oregon Taxi twice to and from medical appointments when my illness made it impossible to even drive my own car. Each time (two very different drivers), the drivers appeared on time, and got me to my appointments on time. They gave me the help I needed, with patience, to get in and out of the cab and deal with my assistive devices. I had two very different drivers, but each, in his own way, had a very professional personality and very pleasant demeanor. They could tell when and if I was in the mood for chat, and reacted accordingly. I will use Oregon taxi every time I need a taxi to get some place. Finally, there were two different tabs, a minivan and a sedan, and both were clean, well maintained, and safe to ride in. read more

I'm growing more and more frustrated with this company. They are the "largest" fleet with the longest hold time, they're beginning to fall behind in "timely pickups" and they are FAR from affordable and yet! They own the market. I for one would love to take an Uber over paying every dollar to this company. Drivers often have rounded fares to the nearest dollar, then ask "would you like to add a tip today" I only ride with this company when I absolutely have to, but I'm NEVER financially comfortable afterwards. He was driving a new BMW taxi and behaving like a complete jackass..he tailgated multiple vehicles, cut off two more changing lanes with zero signals and then continued to drive recklessly until he hit Main St. in Springfield. I travel a lot so I have used taxis back and forth to the airport in the last few years. Oregon Taxi is the best service I have had and I only call them now. Cabs always arrive on time and get me to the airport with time to spare and they offer a 20% discount if I reserve the cab at least 4 hours in advance. The driver is waiting when my flight lands at the airport, even if it arrives late. Oregon Taxi has proven themselves to me to be the best cab company in Eugene and I will continue to call them. read more

I stepped off the train and opened the Oregon Taxi App and car 15 was there in 5 minutes and gave me a call on my cell as he pulled up. The Taxi was the cleanest I have been in and the driver was a professional. Look for taxi 15 when you are out there looking for a ride. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. I reserved a taxi for 5:00 AM on a wednesday and waited outside my apartment. At 5:01 AM I called the driver back and he took off. The cherry on top was when he told me it was "my problem" that I couldn't be on time. I honestly can't recall witnessing such a lack of professionalism in my entire life. Oregon Taxi came highly recommended so I tried them, despite their mediocre rating here. Unfortunately, my driver was late for my airport run. According to the app, a driver wasn't even assigned until 4 minutes before pick-up. I booked 2 days in advance, so that was a negative surprise and I was getting incredibly nervous. If I ever use this company again, I'll need to ask for rides 15-20 minutes early to ensure I make it on time, which isn't really fun on long travel days. The driver was nice and easy to talk with. The ride was mostly smooth and the car was clean. I was not given a discount I qualify for and requested, so I ended up overcharged. Despite my friend's recommendations, I will have a hard time trying Oregon Taxi again unless they 1) refund the over charge and 2) can reassure me the next driver will be on time. read more

This company is terrible. We should have read the many bad reviews before ordering a taxi from them. Now I am writing one myself. A week ago, we were stranded on the curb in front of our house at 3:15 in the morning waiting for Oregon Taxi to pick us up and take us to the airport for a very early morning flight. We had booked the ride a week in advance and called twice to confirm. Then, we found ourselves calling three times while waitiing in the cold and dark for the late cab, which kept getting later and later. We eventually got a response from a rude person with Oregon Taxi, who finally admitted that the car was not anywhere close to our neighborhood and that we should make other arrangements! He really said that! By this time, not wanting to miss our flight, we had no choice but to pile luggage in our car, then drive as quickly as safely possible to the airport, park, carry our luggage, and pay the hefty parking fee when we returned. We were fortunate to have that option or we would have missed our flight. At our age this was not an entirely easy or welcome feat. Oregon Taxi is very poorly managed. It is unreliable, unhelpful and, worst of all, uncaring. I will be passing this word along to the many different groups of people we know. read more

Thanksgiving bust! I scheduled a ride for my son with Oregon Taxi the night before his flight and Jason took his name & flight time. I, also, called them to confirm the next day. My son and another student waited early for the cab but when it was late, I called Oregon Taxi and they apologized that the cab was late but nearby. As more time passed, we were anxious that he was going to miss his flight. Again, I called back but then I was told that my son was in the cab. Oh relief...but NO, my son called me and said that they were still waiting. I called the 4th time and was told that the driver picked up SOMEONE ELSE! What?!!! Shouldn't the driver have asked for his name since there were other students waiting for cabs. My 5th call to Oregon Taxi, I was told that they would send another driver. After waiting nearly 45 minutes, my son had to find an alternate way to get to the airport. Terrible and unreliable service that took 5 phone calls and waiting over 45 minutes. Easy to book a taxi for future use but terrible for action. I need a taxi for an early morning doctors appointment. I have used Oregon TAXI before so therefore all of my personal information was already in the system. Almost immediately after booking the taxi I received a text confirmation that my TAXI post to be at my house for a 7 AM departure. At 6:55 I would outside to wait for the taxi. At 705 no TAXI. I called And was put on hold At 7:10 whenever the operator came back online I canceled the TAXI and found other transportation to my appointment. Still, I let him keep the cash. He was honest, kept me informed and didn't try to rip me off. I stand by the fact that I don't agree with the forced use of a card over cash when booking with the app. I have a bit of phone anxiety, so the app meets my needs and booking is faster, I also use my tips for cab fare. Used Oregon Taxi to get from an off airport rental car location back to the airport after dropping the rental car off. The pickup location is close to downtown Eugene, on 7th Ave. Instead of taking the shorter, quicker route, Highway 99, the driver decided to take the freeway. Very shady and dishonest. The cost of the trip from the airport to the rental car location via Highway 99: $25 with tip. The cost of the trip with the less reputable Oregon Taxi via the freeway: $35 with tip. read more

Honestly, I've never had any major issues with Oregon Taxi. I've gone to all sorts of places with them from the tips of Eugene to the tips of Springfield and not once have I felt like I've been scammed. Every driver I've had the pleasure of riding with has never given me any crap, even if I made mistakes like forgetting to include information from time to time. The drivers tend to go out of their way to choose the most efficient route to save money. They could choose to go the long way around, so I'm glad they don't. My only complaints are that lately with the holidays coming up, I've waited a good bit of time on the phone and I've also experienced a couple of technical issues regarding their tablet payment systems, but other than that, I've been pretty satisfied. read more

After calling back there was no legitimate explanation, no sense of urgency, no regret, no concern, and no apology. Just a lame excuse that the driver wasn't answering. It was a mad dash to the airport. Luckily my wife didn't miss her flight but the whole household lost a lot of sleep... What a hassle. So, again, Oregon Taxi is not a capable taxi service. I had to call them to get a cab assigned and it was still 15-20 min out which means I had to cancel my appointment which was to get my pain meds refilled. They dont deserve 1 star. This company is the main reason that Uber increased the cost of a ride by 40%. They used their connections in the city to cry foul and bitch about losing business, when the real reason they lose business is they SUCK, Unreliable, dishonest, rude, over priced, pathetic and poorly managed. Example, Ordered a ride on the app and it said 8-10 minutes driver on the way. I could see the Taxi location on the map and he was not close to 10 minutes away if he had left immediately. But he didn't, in fact he didn't move at all for appx 23 minutes, so i got pissed off and called Oregon Taxi was put on hold, then a few minutes later i get this rude indignant response from their "dispatch" bitch. She was outranged that i would dare complain and didn't seem to be able to reach this pathetic driver, then she said he was on his way and close, would arrive within 2-3 minutes which was about 40 minutes after i was told 8-10 minutes. So i hung up and went back to the app which was not telling me 5-8 minutes double what the lying dispatch person said. So i waited another 6 minutes and the app showed he was still 5 - 8 minutes away. So i cancelled. This company cares about 2 things, limiting competition and profit. They do not care about customers nor have they ever. Sadly their attack on Uber/Lyft has caused a great toll. About 60-80% of the drivers quit driving because their price was to high so they were not getting enough customers to make it worth while. This is the direct fault of the ass kissing city government who will side with these businesses without caring how it effect citizens and visitors. They are pathetic. Ride was only a little bumpy but it's the way the driver was talking that told me he was probably over the legal drinking limit. Wound up getting out early and walking to keep from getting killed. A trip across town cost more than $25, not including tip, well over the dispatcher estimate of $21. Assuming I went all the way the estimate would have been about 75% of the actual fare. So yeah all things considered one star. Uber has its own well-established problems but they can't restart in Eugene fast enough. I count a single positive review for Oregon Taxi in the past year and a half. Tellingly, it's the only review the owner of the company responded to. Hopefully someone is city government is listening because the seemingly default cab option in Eugene is an embarrassment, one that will not be missed after it's been disrupted out of existence. read more

I realize that New Year's eve is a busy night for the Taxi Business, but Oregon Taxi let me down spectacularly. We called 3 hours ahead of when we needed picked. They arrived 15minutes late and we were lucky that our reservations were still honored by Marche's. That was annoying, but hardly deal breaking. After Midnight passed we called for a return trip and were told it would be an hour until we got picked up, not so bad, it was a busy night after all. That hour came and went and we called at 1:30 and were told no more than 20 minutes more. Then at 2:00 we called again and were told we were 3rd in the queue. At 2:30 we commandeered another taxi in our desperation. We had waited over 2.5 hours. If the night hadn't been so amazing this might have ruined it. PS - We have had other small problems with Oregon Taxi - last winter we took a taxi out to King Estates and they had to call several times to convince them that we really wanted them to come pick us up when the night was done. I called Oregon Taxi twice and listened to the spiel for ten minutes the first call and almost 15 minutes the second time and never got a dispatcher. I ended up having to call a neighbor to come get me. As he pulled up to the airport to pick me up I started walking over towards the car, expecting him to roll down his window to ask my name and ensure he was picking up the right person. This definitely did not happen. I had to open the door and carry all of my luggage into the car myself because he literally couldn't be bothered to help me. Then he drove erratic. Cussing under his breath while trying to cut people off. He tailgated everyone, slammed on his breaks repeatedly and was one of the worst cab drivers I've ever had the displeasure of riding with. This company was recommended by the hotel we stayed at while in Eugene because they said the fleet was big so the service will probably be faster. Wrong. I called to request a taxi, the dispatcher was less than professional in my opinion. But the real problem was the fact that the taxi never showed up. After waiting 40 minutes, I called back to request an eta and she let me know that she would "send another cab".... um where is my original cab? And when I asked her how long she told me another 15-20 minute wait. No thank you. Canceled my taxi. Walked to the destination instead. Eugene needs to bring back Lyft or Uber. I have been using Oregon Taxi for a while through their App and have been pretty pleased. There drivers are always pretty nice and they know Eugene well. But don't ever try to use their dispatch; dispatch has been offshored to the Philippines!! They completely messed up both the time and address of my pre-scheduled ride and this is after I repeated the information to dispatch twice. The drivers I dealt with were very apologetic, but having dispatch for a local taxi company offshored to the Philippines is crazy. I can't wait for Lyft and Uber to come to Eugene. When companies have virtual monopolies, we are the ones who pay. I expect better customer service out of my local taxi company than I get from Comcast! read more
