Oreganos is one of my favorite restaurants, and this is My favorite oreganos location. Oreganos is a wonderful value. Decent prices, large portions, and best of all great flavors. They aren't scared to use spices, so when they say it's spicy, it's spicy...in a great way. Their flavors are all bold, and there is nothing I've tried that I haven't loved. They can be pretty packed. Regularly there is a wait. Definitely check in ahead of time on yelp to check wait time and reserve a spot. The only bad thing about this location is the parking. I have been going to Oregano's since I can remember, love the food! I usually dine at one in Tempe, but this location is closer to my boyfriend. We normally come to this store between 8-9, and we've never had a problem up until Tuesday (9/13). I understand y'all close at 9, but seriously? The bartender can't make a drink with 30 minutes to spare? I wanted to try the Bellini, but I got "oh I already melted the ice in the bar" and no recommendation for something else I could order.... You don't have ice anywhere else in the building? Lol okay. Is your "last call" for drinks 30 minutes before close? My bf was going to get a Corona but nevermind- not that she even asked if he wanted something besides water. Maybe don't have her shut down the entire bar at 8:25, that would be nice! Busy joint on a Friday night, but we got seated outside right away. Cool enough and dry, not at all uncomfortable. My son had been here before and knew what to order. We got some cheesy garlic bread that was just fine, lots and lots of gooey cheese, about what you'd expect would please a teenage boy. Then came an enormous thin crust pizza, which was very nice indeed. I missed the name (I let him handle the ordering), but it had a slightly Mexican theme to it, with cilantro and some green sauce. I found it very appealing. And, needless to say (after that garlic bread), we didn't finish it, and you know what pizza's like the next morning -- yum. Beer served in a nice tall glass (for me), and they have Dr Pepper (his favorite). A good pizza place with a bit of the exotic, I will no doubt visit again next time we're in Arizona. read more

This place is a fun spot. We went at 11:30 on a Saturday and had no trouble being seated, but by 12:30 they appeared pretty busy. The food is great though, so I can see why! I ordered a basic house salad with balsamic vinaigrette on the side, and the meatball appetizer. Salad was great, meatballs were better. My husband ordered spaghetti with meatballs. I was jealous of his meal, it looked awesome. I would recommend splitting plates here, because everything comes in massive portions. I bet their pasta is amazing but I couldn't commit to eating an entire dish myself. We left with a lot of leftovers, and we left stuffed. When we get here after an HOUR, still a long wait for our food and the server/ hostess in the front was rude. So not worth the money and time. Catering order went smooth as silk. My wife ordered food for a church function hosting 100 people. We worked with Ashley and she helped her figure out how much food was needed. She hit the mark, right on. Trust her. She knows what she is doing. Picked up the order on time without issue. Everything was hit and ready to go. The ziti was good, bread was good and plenty of it. The chicken for gluten free was tasty. The tree hugger vegetables I wouldn't recommend. Very watery and not very much flavor. Seemed to be over cooked. Such amazing food, service is hit or miss when busy. the restaurant gives such a warm homey feeling.

This is our goto restaurant when the family wants to eat Italian food. Someone always gets the big rig with the sausage, a meat pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, and other great stuff. I never leave disappointed. The only reason why this doesn't get five stars is because of parking. I have never found a spot closer than a quarter-mile away. The competition for family restaurants and bars is great, and that eats into the available parking spaces. We don't mind though. We will definitely be back again. EDIT: We're back! Picked up a couple of salads and garlic cheese bread for lunch. The antipasto and pablo Picasso Mexican salads were HUGE! We could only eat a third of each salad. I know the it's in the name, but you need to throttle back on the oregano. It's the only thing I could taste on my cheesy garlic bread and pizza. Too bad, everything else was great (service, cleanliness,price...) but I can't give five stars because of the heavy handed seasoning. read more

Went in with my family, was quoted 30 minutes, maybe sooner. As we continued to see people being sat we went to see what was up. We ended up waiting 60 minutes and if we had known this, we would have just left. It was obvious we were irritated. Manager didn't seem to care. We were finally sat an hour later. The guys ordered a pitcher of beer, he sets it down and it looks horrible. Looks like the sediment in the bottom of Apple cider. They take a swig, it was gross and flat and asked the waiter for a new pitcher. The manager then comes over and asks what's wrong with the beer??? We look at it and it's pretty apparent by just looking, but we tasted it and it was disgusting. He comes back 5 minutes later with a different attitude and tells us he's switching the taps. Because obviously we weren't complaining for the hell of it and know what that beer should taste like.... Food was alright. Just really disappointed that no one knew what they were doing. There was 5 people who have been servers at the table and our mind was just blown. Was surprised he didn't bring out some bread which would have been a nice gesture for the shit show and cost him near to nothing, but no. Won't be back. read more

Nick was our server, and he was absolutely outstanding. He gave us wonderful recommendations that we were all satisfied with and his service was amazing! My drink never ran out, he cleared the table after the appetizer and entrees were through, and was an excellent communicator. Hadn't been to an Oregano's in many years & I won't be going back anytime soon. Co-workers wanted to go here for lunch so I figured a pizza & salad would be good. The salad came out fast & it was very good. I ordered the personal pizza & it took 35 minutes before it came out. If the pizza hadn't had the toppings I ordered I would have sworn it was a frozen DiGiorno pizza. The biggest issue is it was an hour to get in & out of there while several booths around us came in after us & were gone before us guess we were seated in the wrong booth. read more

Been eating at Oregano's for nearly 20 years, but not again. Portions & service took a hit with the acquisition a while back, but parts of the menu and the tradition were worth the adjustment. Today, my wife and I came in and were told that due to COVID-19 and social distancing, there might be a 30 minute wait. OK. During the next 45 minutes, three parties of four showed up. No surprise that when the next booth that could seat 4 opened up, guess who got that table? Yep! The manager came out with some odd apology about others checking in online moving in front of people waiting there?!?! Then offered us a drink while we keep waiting? Are you joking!! I can't believe at 106 degrees they aren't giving a glass of water to everyone sitting outside waiting. This is BY FAR the worst of all of the locations! So if you do have the urge for this, pick Gilbert, Tempe or Scottsdale. I'm already seated and enjoying my dinner elsewhere tonight. read more

You have to be aware that deep dish pizza takes time to prepare. If you are not aware of this prior to going, you will be disappointed in wait times. Do not disappoint yourself if you are not ordering deep dish and do not go at high peak times, you will be pleasantly satiated. A large salad can last for three to four lunch meals and is very decently priced for the amount of food that you receive. Flavor in food is wonderful. The order came back to our store and the Mac & cheese that was ordered to be traditional came as spicy. So spicy that it wasn't edible to the person who ordered it. I ordered a meal for takeout at 7:30 and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up at 8:00 and paid for my order. Order wasn't ready yet, no problem. But 30 minutes later I still have no food and no one giving me any explanation or apology. I finally go to cancel my order and magically, my order is ready. It wasn't busy. As a matter of fact, I was the only person there at the time. On top of that, my order was wrong. I guess that one was on me, I expected children to carry out a simple task. The quality of this particular Oregano's has continued to decline over the last two years and Covid cannot be used as a scapegoat for everything. Ordered take out pastas with a pizza cookie, when I got home I noticed there was no ice cream for the cookie. I called to let them know it was missing. Talked to manager Ashley and she went above and beyond to make it right, when I was not expecting anything. I have been in the customer service industry for 30 years and Ashley is a rockstar. She took ownership for the error and went above and to ensure I was happy and would want to return as a customer. I can't thank Ashley enough for making my day! Kind of disappointed. It was too fancy for me. I ordered a pan pizza and ended up getting this thick dough with a crap ton of cheese. I ordered pepperoni on it and man there was a lot (which I'm not complaining I loved it a lot). Also what's up with them writing "real wisconsin cheese" on everything? Visited 3/3/22. The food is very good! The hostess was very unfriendly. My waitress made up for the hostess bad customer service. Emily had outstanding customer service unlike the hostess!!! Because I'm from another state and just visiting for a couple months . I don't where else to put this but in the reviews of Oregano's. There was a gentleman sitting across at another table. He noticed we were having difficulties with my 91-year-old father being stubborn. He paid for our dinner bill and that was so generous. I will find a way to pay his kindness forward. Oregano's is a great family friendly pizza place in the neighborhood! I've never been to one that I didn't like! They make excellent thin crust pizzas and their salads are phenomenal. They used to have this pesto chicken bake thing that I literally dream about some days and I'm sad it's gone, but I'm sure they have other past offerings that are great. I do think it's a little over priced considering the audience that they are really aiming for, but I still end up going with my family once a month or so. read more
