The owner, Kristin was so welcoming and quick to answer any questions I had, even offering samples. I purchased quite a few items and plan to return. The space is minimal but inviting and fun. A recent dental surgery meant that alcohol was off the table for a few days, so I thought that this was the perfect time to visit Loren's AF. I stopped in before seeing a movie at the theatre, which is an activity where I like to enjoy a glass of wine (or two). I thought I'd try to find an alcohol-free wine that I could sip while I watch my flick. I found several good choices, and ultimately went with an alcohol-removed red in a can called Lali. Loren's sells individual cans of a few different kinds of beverages, but mostly they have four- and six-packs, or big bottles of alcohol-free liquor. They also have bitters and other beverage accoutrements that would be good to put in a gift basket. I saw a lot of things that looked good, like some N/A gin and alcohol-free beer with adaptogens in it. But mostly, that Matthew McConaughey quote from Dazed and Confused kept running through my head each time I saw some tasty new non-alcoholic beverage: "It'd be a lot cooler if you did [have alcohol in you]." Though I'm not a teetotaler, I appreciate Loren's AF because I know that many people do not drink alcohol, and they deserve to have cool juniper berry-flavored drinks, too. The store's unofficial motto is "Be a better host," and now there's a place in Carmel where you can find amazing N/A options that help make all of your guests feel appreciated and seen. read more

There is nothing here that isn't flawless. The store is simple but beautifully decorated. The non-alcoholic selections are varied and impressive. They have something for everyone. The store is full of selections that have been incredibly well received by the community, with some of their top sellers selling out on a regular basis. Our host for the evening, Laura Teder, was knowledgeable and friendly. She guided our Sober AF (And Faithful) group through the selections, and we tasted several varieties that everyone loved! A combo of drinks was created at the event that several of my friends took home to enjoy. I'd like to share the store's story and its core values because our entire group was impressed with the heart behind this amazing store. What is Loren's AF? Loren's AF (Alcohol-Free) is named after the owner's father, who passed away. The store is a beautiful and vibrant tribute to Loren. Core values 1. Inclusion 2. Wellness, mental and physical 3. Wow! I went with my mom in the peak of dry January (never mind that we were just enjoying bottomless mimosas at brunch). When we walked in one of the owners greeted us immediately and offered to 'give us a tour of the store' and explained all of their offerings. It was amazing! We said we liked gin and they brought us over to a little tasting station so we could try three of the AF gins they carried. And it was hoppin! There were a lot of customers and a lot of options. I thought we'd leave with a bottle of AF gin but we each got three different things to take home and try. I was really intrigued by the 'mood booster' elixirs, and have been enjoying them since. My one complaint about this place: it's in Carmel and not downtown Indy lol. Truthfully, I am so happy this place exists and it's sending a message that lemonade or water isn't an acceptable non-alcoholic option at a party anymore. There seems to be something in the air as many people seem to be steering clear or alcohol or greatly reducing their intake, so this business just makes sense. We all have our own reasons for reducing alcohol intake (altogether or to smaller amounts) and this helps out your efforts. I came in and was quickly greeted and assisted and guided around the store. I came on their third day after opening, so stock was semi-limited, but they are seeing what's popular and also taking suggestions if they don't sell it, which is always a cool thing to get community support. They have it all - (all NA) wines (canned, sparking, still), beers, mocktails (canned and ready-to-go), hopped waters, sparkling seltzers, hard "liquors," and adaptogenic beverages too. I walked out with two four-packs, a bottle of wine, and a 6-pack and it was around $70. Before you gasp, take a second to remember that it's specialty drinks AND it would have been about the same price (if not more) for alcoholic stuff. If you're looking to reduce alcohol and spruce up your NA cocktail bar, this is def the place to check out (nothing like this exists anywhere outside of Lafayette)! read more

Was greeted very enthusiastically as soon as I walked in. One of the employees took me around showing me all the different options. I was impressed with the variety. The employees were very helpful and not pushy. I decided to go with a couple of to go cans from their fridge. A Raspberry Cosmo mocktail and a Sparkling Rose. The service was exceptional. We visited Loren's AF Beverages for the first time today. Let me start off by saying I highly recommend it. We were greeted by Mike & Kristen who were very helpful and enthusiastic. They answered all of our questions and gave us samples of items we were interested it. They made it clear that they were NOT anti-alcohol but simply offered an "alternative". We sampled, and purchased: Spiritless Kentucky 74 - Bourbon substitute Ritual Zero Proof Tequila - Tequila substitute Wellbeing International IPA - IPA beer substitute No & Low Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Chardonnay - Wine substitute Surely Non-Alcoholic Sauvignon Blanc - Wine substitute Again, if you're looking to reduce your alcohol consumption, stop in and sample some of their products. I heard about this place through a recent Yelp Elite event which included a tasting of Bollygood beverages at this location. I didn't attend, but noted the location. Then I was at a women's networking event and there were some tasty mocktails there and the host said they were from this store. I opted for a mocktail because I'd had been at events several days back to back where drinking was included. I had my own ladies' night coming up and decided it would be great to offer some non-alcoholic options. I went and was sort of blown away at the variety of options from beers and wines, to spritzer type things, to traditional mocktail blends like old fashions or margaritas, and then some funkier herbal elixirs and adaptogen tonics, etc. The store clerk was super friendly and helpful which was great because I had no idea what to choose! I asked how the business was doing and she said it was going great and that "there's many reasons people opt not to drink alcohol but having fun options and exciting drink choices should still be an option for them." Whether you're alcohol free or just trying to cut back or have more variety, I'd totally recommend checking one of their two locations out! read more
