I did not have any problem during my visit. It was my first eye check up and I am happy with the treatment provided by Doctor Navarro. I was diagnose with astigmatism and my vision improves after wearing the glasses with the prescription lenses. I got a good deal with my contact lenses as well. I got a 50 dollar rebate and it was in the form of a debit card from cooper vision. I seldom use my contact lenses as my eyes were dry and I was treated to try the tear ducts plug to get my eyes hydrated and it does help. I've been wearing my glasses for a while now especially at night driving and at work and when I am reading it helps me focus and concentrate better and I got my lenses insured. I do not understand why there are lots of negative reviews. Overall my experience in the clinic is good. The person who care for my glasses gave me a eye glass cleaner solution too that is real nice of him. I hope those other patients of whom Doctor Navarro helped will have a Yelp also so they can share their thoughts about the services they received. Oh FYI With the eye glass lenses you need to wait for about 1 week as well for contact lenses delivery. I got a free check up. They do not cover the eye glasses so it was out of the pocket. With my contact lenses evaluation it was out of the pocket $110 for the check up. You will decide if you want to buy the contact lenses and it was per 6 months supply or a year supply. I can't say enough great things about Orange Plaza Optometry. I came in with an eyeglass prescription for them to fill. It Is a prescription for my son who can't leave his bed because he is recovering from surgery. The optician told me that my son needed to be present so that the glasses could be properly measured and fitted. I explained to him that my son was recovering from surgery and cannot leave his bed. To my surprise he said "no problem". The optician would actually go to my son's bedside and show him several frames for him to choose from to make sure he got what he wanted. The optician has stated that they have done this for several of their patients. WOW!! Now, that's customer service. I picked up my son's glasses several days later and my son loves them. The frames are comfortable and they were exactly what he wanted. You don't find customer service like this anywhere else. The best eye exam I have had in a long time. I never had been able to wear contact lenses comfortably. The contacts always felt kind of scratchy in the vision was always slightly off.Dr. Navarro said that I had dry eyes and needed to wear a specific brand of contact lenses. I have always worn Acuvue lenses, and Dr. Navarro prescribed a different brand.He went further and actually treated my dry eyes and now I don't even feel my contact lenses. I still have to make sure not to wear them more than 10 hours a day, but other than that, the quality of the vision is fantastic and the comfort is amazing. No other eye doctor hasn't even looked at the cause of my contact lens discomfort. Dr. Navarro explained in clear language what I needed to know about dry eyes and make sure that all my questions were answered. This is my first time coming to a private doctor, before I had always gone to Costco or Walmart. I guess coming to a real eye doctor really pays off. read more

I have to say, people actually love to take time to bash any office they can and write all over the internet about it. I think this is so immature on their part. One bad incident, and Boom!! I have to say, ever since I came back for my yearly exam with Dr. Navarro, and "NEW STAFF", I have been very pleased and even the Doctor seems much happier and smiles all over the place. I was greeted and treated with great customer service and pleased with my exam and my order. I've been going here since 1998. The service has been consistently great. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They are open on Saturdays and it is convenient because of my work schedule. Walking distance from work so I can take an hour out of my day to get my eyes checked, and Dr. Navarro is fantastic. He has a sense of humor, he doesn't keep you waiting, and he seems genuinely interested in both your eyes. I do not have vision insurance, so I am always given one of their "packages" for contacts or glasses. Best value in town. Dr. Navarro has always taken pictures of the inside of my eyes at no additional costs, like lots of other places do. I get a complete eye check and contacts the same day. I went for an annual exam. There was an insurance discrepancy but the doctor did not hesitate to make sure I had my exam. Thank you. I would have been upset had he told me to pay up front because my insurance needed verifying, but he was very relaxed about it. I have gone to a Costco optometrist for many years, I have never seen clearer until I saw Dr. Navarro. Every exam I've had with Dr. Navarro he is very thorough, he takes his time and actually educated me on what is going on with my eyes. I had a great experience with my visit. The staff was great as was the Dr. During the exam, they took a picture of my eyes and they actually emailed it to me so I could keep a copy of it. During the exam, Dr told me I had dry eyes and recommended a different brand of contacts than what I had been wearing. They were definitely better for me in comfort and in how I saw out of them. I also chose glasses with the help of one of the opticians. I got the lenses that had a non glare coating on them and it made my night vision extremely comfortable. The price was very reasonable and the quality of the glasses was excellent. A very good experience all around. My dad picked up his glasses and can see very nicely. One week ago, I brought my father in for an eye exam. He was referred to Dr. Navarro's office by his medical doctor just to "get glasses'. During the eye exam Dr. Navarro showed us some pictures of my dad's eyes. My dad's eyes showed some signs of macular dengeration. Dr. Navarro no only emailed his Dr. those photos and prescribed glasses, but also explained to my dad that eating the right foods can help his vision from decreasing faster than they could have other wise. My first exam by Dr, Navarro was in February of 1999. Recently, I returned to the office to find the same high quality service that I got back then. The prices on glasses reflect good pricing on quality name brands frames and lens. On the other hand, the contact lens make sense to buy in bulk from them in order to save the most money. All in all I find his frame selection great and his staff of well trained professionals makes the visit as easy as is possible. The exam by Dr. Navarro was very thorough. As a diabetic, my eyes are very important to me, so I appreciated the detailed exam I got. He recommended my lenses have Transitions and a Non Glare Coating for my eyes to have optimal comfort and vision. And he was right. My vision has never been better and more comfortable. The optician stream lined my frame selection. They have so many frames, and he knew what would look good on me and the frames are very comfortable and solid. Their prices are great. JUST GIVE ME MY DARN PD!! My daughter had an exam in December and we found out she needed glasses. The Dr. was very comfortable with kids and it showed. He made my shy daughter very comfortable. We took the prescription to be filled elsewhere because we wanted to shop around. Well, we came back to Orange Plaza because they had the best prices and the opticians were very knowledgeable about their products. They actually emailed me to let me know the glasses were in. I have been to different eye doctors and every time I got glasses, there was always a nagging blur that was always present. After seeing Dr. Navarro, he diagnosed an "eye muscle" imbalance. He prescribed prisms on my eye glass prescription and that nagging blurriness went away. It was recommended that I wear the glasses all the time. Was very pleased with the excellent level of care. Definitely the best eye exam. Very detailed and complete. Dr. Navarro is very good at explaining his findings on my eyes. I have always seen blurry with my glasses from other doctors. He found out I had eyes that did not align properly, so he prescribed prisms in my glasses and now I see better than before. I was totally impressed with my eye exam. I was first given some preliminary testing before I saw the dr. My side vision was evaluated. Then a digital image of the back of my eyes were taken. Awesome. The dr then saw me in the exam room and showed me the images of my retinas. It was amazing to see the inside of my eyes . Dr. Navarro then gave me an exam.I got the glasses that same day. Highly recommended. I have had many eye exams throughout my life, and Dr. Navarro gave me the best one ever. His equipment is high-tech, and he takes time to explain every part of the eye exam.
