    Veggie Wet Burrito
    Rathin K.

I haven't updated this since the last time I lived in Minnesota! When we moved back, Orale was one of the first places we went back to. I love this place, and the food is on par with a lot of Mexican food in California. Most recently, we went to celebrate a birthday. We go here because they are veggie friendly. We ordered the veggie enchiladas and I got a veggie wet burrito. Everything was delicious. My only complaint would be that things could be a bit saucier...but that's a preference thing and we get salsa on the side for it. We also got chips and guac -- delicious as well! I will say that the portions, especially the burrito are VERY generous. I think I should have shared it! It was pretty buzzy, which was great to see given the depths of winter we were in. Go here!!

    Filipino BBQ tacos. Get these!!!!

I've been coming to Orale since it opened and I've NEVER been disappointed. Standouts- -chorizo queso, holy sh*t -medium salsa on everything -Filipino BBQ tacos, god they're good. Use the lime! I love these so much I'll order one ala carte just to have on the side almost every time I come. -enchiladas de pollo: moist, both sauces (red or green) are great, tho I probably prefer red. Not as heavy as enchiladas other places- satisfying but bright flavors too. -posole- so damn good -birria tacos - consume is rich and flavorful and bold and just drool worthy -flautas -husband loves the swimming burrito Ok I probably did not narrow down the menu for you but that's my point- everything is good! Everyone I bring here loves it. Bartenders are always nice. Spicy margs are good. Vibe is right.

Visited 1/11/26. Orale is such a classic. With a wide variety of options that are all good, we stated with the chips, salsa, and guac. After getting the chance to try everything, I do think I would get the queso if I were ordering again, but they were all still solid. I got the chicken enchilada with both sauces. I couldn't decide which sauce I liked better so this was a nice way to try both. Very good and I love a side of rice and beans

I took my niece to lunch for her birthday. Good size restaurant with parking lot in the front, otherwise street parking is an option. I saw a couple of signs of special food items available, not on the menu. Order at the counter and they'll call you once the food is ready. Tacos were delicious. Restaurant has large windows and is well lit.

Really nice and bright atmosphere here! My flautas were a little dry/tough but still good. My friend loved her tacos. The kind of place where you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Would definitely return

Excellent food. We had Barbacoa tacos and chicken tinga platillo. Black beans that came with it were delicious. Definitely will be back. Was a Friday night and a steady stream of people dining in and taking out. Great lively, warm neighborhood setting. Proud of Minneapolis neighbors.

I chose to have Taco Tuesday with a friend, and we ended up here because it was our halfway point to meet. I would say it was one of our best choices for Mexican food! The flavors tasted incredibly fresh. I appreciated the Filipino twist the chef added to the dishes--so good! The staff, including the bartender, were all very friendly. Our food arrived quickly, and I was surprised it wasn't busy. The atmosphere was pleasantly relaxed and not too loud, plus there's convenient parking out front. It's a great spot, and I would definitely return to try more items from their menu.

We ate so much food here, so come hungry! There's so much to choose from, but we had a large group and tried many items. Beware - portions are large! Our service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. First, location is convenient in Minneapolis and so close to the highway. Parking is limited but free. Ambiance is adorably festive and the bar is well stocked. Here's what we had: Filipino Bistek (5/5) Mangonada (5/5) Tostada de Tonga (5/5) Carne Asada Fries (5/5) Sope with Sisig (3/5) Platillo with Carne Asada (4/5) Churros (3/5) Swimming Burrito (4/5) I can't wait yo try other dishes next time, especially the Birria Tacos and the Elote corn.

Orale Mexican Eats is a pleasant surprise. Despite my rating, I'm willing to guess a lot of the food is top notch. The restaurant has the mom and pop feel, but is also clean and dine-in friendly in ways many other mom and pops are not. Food: There's an extensive menu with lots to choose from. I decided to grab a seat at the bar and order Flautas (served with rice and beans). The sides were really great! The one disappointment was the chicken meat in the flautas. So under flavored. It tasted like straight up unseasoned boiled chicken. Too plain. The guac and pico tasted fresh. That said, I'm willing to bet their other meats are better prepared for other dishes. If circumstances aligned, I would give Orale another shot!

I ate it all! Nachos, veg enchiladas w/green sauce and we at the huge veg salad! Orale Nachos Veggie Enchiladas (3) Orale Salad

The space itself isn't terribly large, and it looked like there were only three or four people working that evening. After being seated, it took a while before we were able to order our first round of drinks. Normally I don't focus much on service in reviews, but we could immediately tell our waitress was not having a great night. We were forgotten about a few times, but eventually managed to order some small bites, including a charcuterie board and some pretty yummy cheese curds. When we finally caught her for our second round, I complimented her glasses since they were similar to mine, partially in an attempt to cheer her up. I was met with a glare and a mumbled "thanks." When she walked away, all four of us kind of looked at each other like... dang, we're not sure what we did. Having all worked in service ourselves, we try to be respectful, stack our dishes, wipe up after ourselves, and generally make things easier where we can. Oddly enough, when it came time to pay, she returned with a completely different attitude... suddenly cheerful, friendly, and telling us to have a great night. Honestly, the whole interaction was a little bizarre! Service aside, the cocktails were balanced and genuinely good, the food was slightly elevated and hit the spot, and the atmosphere was great, especially with the DJ playing that night. We decided to Uber since we knew we'd be drinking, so I can't speak firsthand to parking, although it looked like street parking could be moderately difficult depending on the night. I'd still go back if I were in the area and the night warranted it. My guess is we caught them on an off night or they ended up busier than anticipated.

And thankfully that bookshelf was there because we were waiting for awhile. When we first arrived we waited about 10 minutes before anyone who worked there even made an appearance, which seemed odd for a Friday at 10 am. May have been understaffed because the same person was seemingly the only person serving the full restaurant, which is so difficult. We waited patiently, understanding that that happens. However, unfortunately the food was only okay too. I ordered a broccoli and cheddar omelet and it was sadly not really an omelet at all. Full florets of steamed broccoli with a flat egg blanket wrapped around them... see photos to understand, this was a bummer and just not an omelet! It seems like the quiche is the way to go here, I had a bite of quiche that someone else ordered and that was very tasty and they have a rotating quiche menu or quiche of the day! Would definitely recommend going with the quiche for breakfast.

Our waitress was extremely attentive and gave us several wonderful recommendations that guided our entire order. Everything we tried was memorable: - Basil Wings: Hands down my favorite of the small plates! The chicken came out piping hot, fresh, and perfectly crispy with great flavor. - Salmon Eggs Benedict: Beautifully poached eggs over rich, flavorful salmon patties (pan fried) gave it a nice crunch with the egg and English muffin. - Coffee Crunch French Toast: A delicious blend of sweet and coffee. The French toast is seasonal and was definitely something I would get again. It was just the right amount of sweetness. - Duck Congee: Comforting and savory. The duck meat basically fell off the bone. Overall, a top-tier dining experience with phenomenal food and warm, knowledgeable service. The vibe had a great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

The decor is absolutely beautiful and the indoor outdoor living and seating was something out of this world this place is a must see and must try food. The service is quick and everyone is there to help. So my Laotian friend told me that I needed to order the Siin Swan as an appetizer and then the New York strip Laab with sticky rice since that's like their traditional meal. We also ordered these the basil wings that was served with this amazing spicy tomato paste and then for the entrées we did a green curry octopus that was cooked to perfection. I've never had octopus like that before. We also ordered the duck fried rice and the Massann curry everything was so delicious. We were wanting more, but we were so full. We took one quick look at the dessert menu and we had to order the pistachio cake again absolutely phenomenal, fantastic flavor and the crunch of the pistachio was perfect. I cannot wait to come back here and tell everybody about this place to make sure that they come here when they're in Minneapolis area.
