Years behind other cable providers in terms of support. Call center support lengthy and frustrating to go through, and I did it 3-4 times without successfully solving my problem. Finally was told to take my remote in to a SL store... closest one is 30 miles away, or pay $60 to have a technician come bring us a new remote. Cannot find direct phone numbers to the stores online to get their hours so you have to go through their lousy 800 number again...good thing I did, closed on Presidents' Day... a retail store closed on Presidents' Day. Pathetic. read more

Worst but the only show in town. Consistent billing errors! Over priced! Terrible service always! Incompetent in every way! Total disaster company! If you don't believe me read all of the other reviews. You will not find a good one. They are horrible!!!!! read more

Should be able to rate ZERO. Service was cut by construction in the area. Technician sent but said that the "Contruction and Maintenance Dept" was required to come out and fix the problem - could not give a date - said they would show up when they showed up and no, you cannot contact them. Decided after a week to cancel and go with Dish. Suddenlink charged me for another month of service because their contract goes until the end of the billing cycle. Everyone I talked to sympathized that I was not getting service but would have to pay for it anyway. Supervisors will call you back, but they never do. Obviously Suddenlink doesn't care at all about these ratings. I am almost 70 and this is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Lied to by employees so many times I can't list them all. Hate to say it is the employee themselves but when nothing they say actually happens, they have to know that what they are saying is not true. read more

Suddenlink charges me $99 a month for gigabit service and $10 a month more for modem/cable rental. The gigabit speed is hit and miss. Today my Internet connection has been down for an hour and a half. The phone rep tries to sell me an addition $6.99 a month service to cover a $60 service charge when I call for service and the problem is not Suddenlink's. The rep can't schedule anyone to check on my service outage until two days from today. Suddenlink's own cable/modem is continuously restarting so its definitely Suddenlink's problem. This is horrible customer service. This is what happens when there is no real competition. One star rating ??? How about a zero star rating. read more

We have had sudden link for 13 months and the signal has been good and reliable. In the12 previous months our bill has increased about $20 per month. In the 13th month, it increased another $20 per month. A 30% increase in just over a year. We decide to change back to Satellite and will save about $1,200 over 24 months. Will Satellite increase prices after two years? Most likely but that's 1,200 in my pocket. I was very fortunate to end my services on the last day of the billing period. Had I waited one more day, we would have had to pay for the entire next month because Suddenlink does not prorate for the time you use their service. We will have put up with their outrageous pricing for internet service, until I can find another provider. I guess we will stay with satellite because we live on fixed income and can't stand a 30% hike each year. Bye Bye SuddenLink. read more

I have been a home owner for 30 years and had att and time Warner. We are moving to Sun City and forced to use Suddenlink. I called Tues 12/22 because their website was so tedious to use. Got a sales rep in a call center. Went thru what I needed got a price then was told " you 'll have to go by the georgetown store and show 2 forms of I'd. Are you kidding me!!!! So I drive 24 minutes Saturday and the road to their store is completely blocked with construction. I tried searching everyway possible to get a local # not a chance. The 8oo # listed was another call center except they were so illiterateit was unreal. First call after working thru a horrible prompt I got someone finally...they hung up on me. Called back 2 times. Got someone to finally check on my order. I got a email "to finish your order call and pay $203.60" I Tilden that. The moron said " can we help you choose " after 3 attempts I got her to understand I had already placed a order wanted to check on the date I chose for service, 12/27. She said "we have an oppening friday 11/24." Complete illiterate. Finall got ger to understand asked for an email confermation. Got it and it said "install a phone.!!!!" Omg i never ordered a phone. 3 more calls later and a chay and i got verification. Each time i spoke to the "suddenlink" reps i got a "who cares" attitude. Worsted experience I have ever had. No telling what I 'll get on 1/27. Oh still gotta go by their office and show 2 I'd s. They said the georgetown office was open black Friday. I got on their web site and guess what closed! Un- beeeeee- liveable. The second spectrum or art is in sun city I am dropping these fools. read more

No doubt the WORST cable company I have EVER had!!! Service is horrible, cable is constantly out, the rudest phone reps ever! What a joke of a company, they don't deserve any stars!!! The only reason they are in business is they provide a cable company in areas that don't have competition, just horrible! read more

Closing the Pflugerville office should have given me a clue. Suddenlink is not committed to ongoing support for my neighborhood. Bills for two months in a row went up close to $20. After calling them, they backed off the price hike. Shortly afterward, middle of August, I started having TV problems - picture freeze, breakup, momentary blackout. After three separate house service calls over three weeks, resulted in "We need to schedule a maintenance visit, I can't fix the problem," I started looking for a replacement for the cable TV part of the service. I still planned to keep the internet service - until this past weekend when internet service dropped 3 times over 2 days. Each outage lasted multiple hours. That's it. I'm done. Now looking for total TV/internet replacement. read more

We've been a customer for over 2 years, and over those year they've been a mediocre internet service provider. But after my encounter with customer service today, I am extremely disappointed. Long story short, I upped my internet based on a deal that was online, and I'm ending up paying twice that...and instead of offering solutions to my problem the customer service rep said "well even with you paying more...it's still a good deal." Her attitude was that I was disturbing her day and that she wasn't going to do anything to help me. I cannot wait for another service provider to be available in the area so that maybe suddenlink will care if their customers are satisfied because they'll have another option to go to. read more

I would not recommend this company at all it only gets a star cause there is not another choice . When you cancel your service for moving they will not prorate your bill even if you use 1 day of service for the month you will have to pay for the rest of your billing cycle . You should not have to pay for service not used will not use them again . read more

I have never been so frustrated with a company's terrible service. If I had ANY other option in my area I would choose it in a heartbeat. I won't go into too many details, but in just one example... their technician showed up at my house, obviously didn't know what he was doing, then left saying he would be right back. He never returned. And, oh yeah, disconnected our internet in the process. And that's just one of many examples. If you have any other choice, do NOT use this company. read more

If I could give them a less than 1 I would. Service was interrupted a week ago - called customer service had to wait for call back. Then they couldn't fix it said I either had to PAY for a tech to come out or driver 45 minutes to the nearest store to see if they could fix the issue. Abel was rude - I know they are working from home but no need for loud music in the background to the point that you cannot even hear them. When you ask them to please turn it down - they tell you its not loud!! After two more phone calls and requesting a supervisor call back (never did) an appointment was set for Saturday Afternoon. Tech showed up Saturday to tell me that the Altice 1 box was no good but they did not have any more so he gave he one of the older boxes - that does not have all the features that I pay for! Then tells me the tower that has they signal in back of my house is bad but he can't fix it. The nice tech says he will run cable on top of the grass down past the back of 3 houses to connect to the other tower. Slower speed if any at all! Says a tech will be back within 48 hours to fix. Now on 72 hrs at lease and no tech - called customer service again and they will resend the request to them but it will be another 48 hours to respond!!! WTF!!! Asked again for a supervisor - not available - ask for a credit on my bill - cannot issue one until the problem is resolved! If I only had another choice. They will win the award for the absolute worst customer service ever!!! read more

This company is an absolute nightmare to deal with. I have never seen a company provide such poor customer service and they make it clear that they just simply do not care. I have been a customer for less than two months and have already had to call their "customer service" department 5 times for both service and billing issues! Their website is equally useless to navigate. The only reason Suddenlink is still in business is because they are the only service provider available in Georgetown. The Texas Attorney General should be putting a stop to this monopoly as consumers are suffering. As soon as I can figure an alternative method of getting internet in my home, I am terminating service. Avoid at all costs! read more

I would give negative stars if it was possible. I have had nothing but HORRIBLE customer service and miscommunication from the day I called to set up my account. This company has the WORST customer service system and the WORST auto pay system. We have been double and triple charged at random times during the month, they have refused to give us back the money directly, even though they took it directly from us. Instead, they credited our account and it was the incorrect amount. They wouldn't take our credit card information off the account and claimed it couldn't be done. I did it myself through my account because I literally do not feel comfortable leaving my bank account available to a company to just take however much money they feel like out of MY account and then literally refuse to give it back to me. If this service wasn't required by my apartment complex there is NO way I would ever use it. read more

We moved our service 8 miles from old home to new one. Old address, no issues, service okay. New service began April 4th, Since that time keep getting overdue notices. Have paid over $700.00 in bills so far and just received one for over a thousand. What the heck??? Of course you can't reach them. Also would like to mention that it took over a month to get our home phone connected. This is the line we use for our small business. Could not get number ported. Customer sent a technician to see what problem was. When he arrived he told me he didn't know why he was there, I said I didn't either. It was obviously not anything he could fix. He said make sure they don't charge you. They did, $60.00, also there's a $200.00 balance transfer fee? Transfer what? I had no balance from my old address. Customer service is in Egypt I'm told. These poor folks really can't help you. This company STINKS!!! No other way to put it. They just plain do not care. read more

I have been a Sudden link customer for 9 years and I regret all nine years but there are no other providers in Georgetown . My bill is $200.00 a month for internet and TV service .There quality of service is not bad cable works great internet works great but the cost is just ridicules .I work all day and so only use these services a few hours each day ,in order to be able to stream movies I have to pay for extra services I do not need and to watch the few channels (out of the 250 I am forced to pay for ) I have to pay for a large package with 200 channels I do not watch . So I put a TV antenna on my house (courtesy of Georgetown TV )and now I do not pay anything to receive local TV channels . When I called Sudden Link to cancel my TV service NOW they have a package for me , to late . Next I will look for a new internet provider and get Sudden Link out of my house completely . read more

You can not get a question quickly answered from this company. The local phone number nonexistent like they hiding from customers. The website is not helpful for existing clients locally. They dont care because only gig in town. Terrible read more

In September I made a service call. when I play Netflix through my TIvo it would pause and freeze. I didn't have these issue on my phone or tablet using the same wifi. The CSR was adamant this wasn't a TIVO issue and I would be charged for the service call if I didn't have your service plan. I reluctantly agreed to the service plan and the tech came out. I told him the issue and he said I see this all the time. He checked the splice/junction box in the attic and said there wasn't enough amp's ( not sure of correct term of measurement ) He changed out the box. See pic and said that should solve my problem. I asked the tech about moving my boxes because I want' the bigger TIVO box in my bedroom and I was going to return a TIVO box. He said that wasn't an issue and I could do that after he left. if he were to do it would be another service call and the swap wasn't on his work order. I moved the boxes and returned my TIVO box . I have now received a bill for a service call even though I bought your service plan. your CSR manager Tashana EMP # 23496 said my service records indicated I tampered with my devices which cause my problem. It said that was incorrect information. I stated what their tech did to solve the problem. She said she has run into this numerous time and isn't a policy in place to correct this. There is ZERO way to refund my money. She said because I moved my boxes I tampered with their equipment... (really.......... ) I didn't move the boxes until after he left. and the fact of relocating a cable box in MY house is tampering is absolutely ludicrous. I want my money back. read more

I signed up with Suddenlink 6 months ago, they took 4 1/2 months to bury the cable in my yard, and I have yet to receive the $100 Amazon card for signing up. I have been on EzPay and now they are saying I didn't make a full payment one month which is the reason they aren't giving me the promotional card! This is BS because they should have collected in full because of the EzPay! Now they are trying to say the bank didn't pay them in full which is crap because there has alway been enough money to cover this bill. The multiple times I have called I always get different answers? One said it was all good they will be sending the card, another said check Amazon you should have the credit, yet another said they need authorization (from whom)? There is always a lame excuse and run around. I will be looking for a new service because not only do they come up with excuses it take forever to get ahold of someone, they give lip service and nothing EVER gets done just the run around. Now this review will tell me to contact that email address, but why for another run around? read more

MissingLink nor Altice has any business being in business. They tell large lies, false advertise, and make promises they never intend to keep. And I found out last night when I opened my bill that they also charge for things you don't buy, such as $13.00 porn movies. When we moved to Georgetown almost 12-months ago, we signed up for the advertised service of phone, internet, and TV for $79.95 (Guaranteed for two-years), but they left off the Broadcast Station "Surcharge" of $10.00 monthly (Now $11.00) and a Sports Programming "Surcharge" of $5.15 a month. Then the crooks explained the Sports Surcharge was for sports carried on Broadcast Stations. Huh? Of course they pay ZERO for local programming, won't take local off of the package, so they are blatantly stealing $16.15 a month from their subscribers. So much for the no price increase promise also: After seven-months the bandits raised the prior to tax and fictitious surcharge rates on the Triple Play Rate from $79.99 to $104.62. These crooks are not regulated by the state, or the FCC, they are regulated by the city government, which has convinced me, that Georgetown pols are stuffing their freezers with payoff money. read more

I absolutely HATE suddenlink communications!! I have WIFI thru these people and cannot pay my bill by phone nor online... Keeps saying my card is declined, but they cannot explain why... There is money in my account and I have used my card every where else, online, over the phone etc. I wish there was another service in Georgetown that could be used, because these people SUCK!!!! read more

This place deserves 0 out of 5 stars but I was unable to do that. Suddenlink people come to "fix" our wifi, ends up screwing it up 95% of the time and then having to come back again and again. Definitely needs to change something with what they do or will continue to get crappy reviews. read more
