I was assisted by Tim, who informed me that he could not help me because the glasses were originally purchased at the Tucson Mall location. Lenses were made incorrectly. When I told the employee that I was having extreme difficulty seeing out of my "new lenses", he told me that because I occasionally wear contacts, the lenses don't provide good vision because the eyeball creates a problem seeing correctly. (he was really trying to make me look stupid!) I insisted that there was a problem with the lenses. After much scrutiny by the employee and consultation with his fellow staff , he admitted that the lenses were not made according to the proper measurements! New lenses were re-ordered. I waited nearly 3 weeks for the replacement- called them to follow up, only to learn that they were ready a week before my follow up call. They claimed they tried to call me once. (No message left for me). Then they admitted that they were having a problem with merging their computer and hand written notes, thus they never placed a follow up call. Conclusion - they have a very good selection of eyewear, but they can't seem to get the lenses made properly ( I had the same problem a few years ago). I would entertain the idea of buying frames from them again, but would have the lenses made by my local eye doctor's office. read more

Staff was very professional and skilled in in helping me with my selection of frames for both reading glasses and sun glasses. When I picked up my new glasses the prescription was perfect and I am now able to read without severe headaches. When I first came in I brought a pair of glasses that I had just purchased elsewhere and asked to have the prescription checked, not only was the RX wrong the focal point was wrong and that was resulting in my severe headaches. Celena was excellent and explained the defects to me and told me to stop wearing them. She was very skilled in and I cann't thank her enough, now that I am wearing my new glasses I haven't experienced any headaches. Extremely disappointing! It took 3 visits to get my prescription right, wasting 7 WEEKS before finally getting my glasses. I used my prior frames, but even so, a set of reading glasses and sunglasses cost almost $1,000 JUST FOR THE LENSES (plus another $125 for the exam). The original prescription was for multi-focal lenses, which I explained did not work for me before, but they talked me into it anyway, and they did not work this time either. So we went with single vision and you'd think they would be less expensive, but no. They DO have a nice selection of over-priced frames. While the employees are nice, I think Dr. Weisman needs to retire. read more

I had the best experience with Victoria she specialized a gorgeous pair of prescription Chanel aviator pink glasses for me. It was not cheap but they came out beautiful. The customer service was amazing and Victoria made sure they were perfect for me. I am a firm believer of "you get what you pay for" and my glasses were worth every penny spent! I foolishly made an appointment for an eye exam in a mall (they had good reviews from my insurance network). Over the phone, they urge me to buy glasses from them because that's how they make their money. I thought it was a little weird to say that sort of thing to a patient, but I discounted it as transparency. So when I get there, all the ladies at the counter were very busy helping people pick their glasses, which is no problem. I can understand it being busy. But it took a solid 10 minutes for any one to acknowledge me and it was a "What do you need." I told them I had an appointment and then they grab me some paperwork. I finish filling out about 3 pages of it, and then a lady comes up to tell me that they had a problem with the insurance and I wasn't eligible for coverage until a later date. I was pretty frustrated that they didn't call/leave a message to prevent me from going to the mall on a weekend and fight the crowds just to get turned away like that. The lesson to be learned is that unless you say outright you are buying glasses from them, you will get subpar service. Incompetent and disorganized at best. Way more emphasis on selling glasses to customers than helping patients. Take my advice and go to an actual optometrist office outside of a mall. read more

Dr. Weisman is super cool and I trust him with my eyes. The selection is great if you are a movie star and want the best, unique, stylish frames available. However, if you are just a regular person who lives a rugged life wants a new pair of glasses every year, this is probably not the place to get your glasses made. Unless your insurance covers a large chunk of the price, it will cost you two to three to four times as much for specs here. I would suggest this over Nationwide Vision, since their glasses will last less than a year and charge only half as much. Now if you are a dainty little thing who has plenty of money to get the very best, go ahead and blow $600 to $800 for the lenses and several more hundred on some very special frames. The rest of us will go to Costco so that we can get 4 pairs of glasses for the one pair that you can pay for here. read more

I wasn't sure they would be able to accommodate me because I have a really bad prescription that requires special lenses, but Christopher Romero did a great job of ensuring that they could get the right lenses in time. The selections of glasses are wonderful but the quality of lenses sucks. Though the lenses comes with one year warrenty, it peels right when the warranty expires. I say buy the glasses and get your perscription elsewhere. read more

This is by far the worst place to go for glasses or contacts. The customer service is horrendous, not to mention this is probably the most expensive place to get glasses or contacts. After the exam I asked for a copy of my glasses and contacts and was told I would have to make a purchase in the store in order to get my prescription eventhough my insurance already paid for the exam. Beware!!!! If you need an exam but then wanna go elsewhere for your glasses or contacts DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! They hold your prescription hostage until you buy something from them. They still wont give me my contact prescription. My wife has been waiting almost a month for her contacts which we were told would only be 2 weeks and when we called to find out where they were and we were told they are not shipping until March 3rd(our appt was Feb 2nd) because they are being "specially made" for my wife!!! What a bunch of bologna!!! I will never go back to this place and will tell everyone I know to stay away!!!!! read more

Optical Image is full of unique and gorgeous frames,and the staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and best of all...very accommodating. In another review I wrote how Diamond Eyecare accidentally gave me last year's prescription. It was still a valid prescription, but my vision had changed and I needed new lenses. Emma Davalos at Optical Image assisted me in selecting a unique, colorful pair of frames, and it really shows how much she loves working with people...you could tell she was having fun, and I was too! When the glasses arrived, they were beautiful, but I could not see any better with them. That's when I discovered that Diamond Eyecare had mistakenly given me last year's prescription. The owner at Diamond Eyecare, said it was not his problem and he would not cover the cost of replacing the lenses with the correct prescription. Though he did give me the correct, updated prescription, he did not apologize for the error. I returned to Optical Image with the new, correct prescription and Patty Hill did not hesitate for a second. Patty assured me Optical Image would replace the lenses with the new prescription at no charge! Next year I'll be back for my eye exam and lenses at Optical Image. read more

I'm so impressed by the staff at Optical Image, Tucson Mall. I've always walked past the store thinking I'd never go in there because the eyewear looks expensive and is probably over priced. I got an eye exam at a different optometrist as I have done before but decided to wait on ordering the frames. I bought my last pair of glasses from another national chain, optical store in the mall. I spared no expense and was satisfied in the beginning but with the fancy lenses and options my glasses still got scratched and wore the same as cheaper pairs I've purchased from Walmart, etc. and this despite my careful handling of them. Anyway, I was gonna get another pair there but my friend talked me into going to see the frames he picked out at Optical Image. I walked in and despite being there for my friend I found a pair of frames right away. They were super affordable. I ended paying less and the customer service is extraordinary! Celena was priceless, she knew her job well and was down to earth, extremely helpful and a beautiful soul. The whole staff was accommodating and helpful. I never felt any pressure to buy anything I didn't want. I will continue buying from them and will recommend them. It's rare to find a person who is truly invested in your buying experience but I found this store staff to be the exception. Everyone there is beyond nice. read more

Beautiful eye-glasses in Tucson! Wow what amazing customer service this place has! We want other locals to know what a fun and friendly experience we had! My husband was dreading to shop for new prescription glasses. A friend told us about this cool optical place in the Tucson mall Optical Image. We were immediatley greeted and offered cold bottled water on a very hot day! The frame selection was totally amazing!!! All real high end designer frames. My husband actually had a smile when choosing two pair of very sharp glasses. I also received a thorough eye exam by Dr Weisman the same day we were there. I got Chanel glasses and love them! I can see so wonderful. The lenses are all digital HD technology, they totally educated us on all the lenses. You get the best so you pay for the BEST! Our quest to find that perfect pair of frames (for my other half) led us to Optical Image in the Tucson Mall. For a small store they have a great selection of frames. And I mean a great selection of frames. Some of the coolest frames I've ever seen in this town. We were promptly greeted by Eleanor who, I must say, was AWESOME. She wasn't deterred by the fact that we didn't bring the prescription (the first clue that we weren't buying today). She quizzed us about his prescription to find out any limitations or preferences for a frame and then patiently showed us frame after frame. She made suggestions and offered input on what looked best while gently selling their product - better frames, better lenses - very tactfully. She never rushed us or indicated in any way that we should come back when we were more serious about buying. We go on this quest about every two years, and I don't think I've ever had a better experience. These are top-of-the-line designer frames and lenses using the latest technologies. Even with insurance expect to shell out some serious dough. Although we haven't yet made a purchase, I wanted to give a shout out to the excellent selections and Eleanor's top notch customer service. read more

If you want the best customer service you found the right place. I was looking for a place that sells Oliver Peoples and they are the only place that I would trust. I first went there about 8 years ago and walked right in and had an eye appointment for the same day. Dr. Weisman is one of the nicest people I have ever met let alone any doctor, he also has a great sense of humor! I seriously love this place all of the staff and defiantly all of the prices!
