Over 30 years I've had absolutely wonderful experiences at the Lesco on Oracle. My sister who lives in St. Louis, Mo always gets glasses when she is in town. Lesco has always mailed them to her. She was in town in November 2025. We went to Lesco. She still hasn't received her glasses. We discovered that the Lesco on Oracle has closed. We were not told that they were closing when we were in the store one week before the closing. She is now trying to work with the Lesco on Grant. She still does not have the glasses that she has already paid for. read more

In writing this it is now 9 weeks that I dropped off my glasses in mid-January 2025 (Oracle Rd Store) to update the lens prescription for my glasses. Promised it would be done at 6 weeks. After no result, I was told by the lab manager over the phone give him 2 more weeks to complete. After no result to the promise of service, I was asked to give them 1 more week which I did. Now it's the end of March 2025 and the new lenses never got done. The service staff got the lab manager on the phone to find out status while I waited for an answer. My glasses hadn't been updated and so I asked for my glasses to be shipped back and returned to me and my deposit refunded. My deposit was returned. Local service staff aren't even sure what was is going on. They didn't dive further into this process either to resolve. Things have changed since Christine left the office. Update. I went back now into the 10th week in this process to pick up my returned glasses. Surprised to find that my glasses were updated in one week with the new prescription. Thank you. I appreciate that the glasses got fixed at Lesco's expense but still wonder did it need to get to this point. I now have my updated glasses 10 weeks later. I will not be back. read more

The personnel at Lesco locations are all pretty nice, but the owner is not only a liar, but is very abusive to his customers... several of his employees have told me he is unbearable to work for... he has increased prices often, revoked previous promises, makes excuses constantly... my optician, a very experienced Doctor, tells me Lesco lenses are now very low quality and tend not to hold the prescription given. Few retail quests could be more challenging than eyeglass shopping in the age of Pandemica. Lesco Optical on Oracle made it so easy though. The store is bright and spacious. They have a reassuring cleaning routine for the sample glasses. The person who helped us (unfortunately cannot remember her name) was really knowledgable and helped us pick frames and lenses, explained the best choices for us without trying to up-sell anything. It was a very positive experience and I ended up getting a great deal on one pair of glasses so I bought some prescription sunglasses as well. It's Arizona! How could you not? The best part was that my glasses, originally predicted to take three weeks to come in, were ready after ONE WEEK. And they were in perfect order. I will be buying my glasses exclusively from this retailer for as long as I live in the area. read more

I have an expensive pair of glasses and wanted a backup. I went to Lesco for the first time with my actual persrciption, had a hard time finding frames I liked. After selecting them I paid about 1/3 of what the expensive ones were. They came in, when I tried them on the lenses seemed way out of whack. They worked on measuring again and suggested a different frame. I picked one out, they came in, I tried them on, same thing. They were like I was looking through a fisheye lense. A great, cheap way to get glasses. I hate to get glasses from my optometrist because they're so expensive there, and I only wear them on weekends anyway. Here, they have awesome service and a nice selection. There are several racks filled with glasses made in every style and material. On my first shot looking around the store, I found the perfect pair. Usually they are very punctual, but this time there were complications with keeping the lenses in the frames, so a new part needed to be ordered. I have a really strong prescription, so it's to be expected that there would be some issues to begin with. In short, I will have my glasses in tomorrow afternoon. The woman helping me even told me when the shipments come in, which aided me greatly in planning my errand running. read more

I have purchased several sets of glasses at Lesco over the years. Somehow it is always cheaper here without my insurance than at other places with insurance. The selection is decent and the staff is really helpful. You have to be patient if you just walk in as there is often a wait and the glasses I have ordered all took a week to arrive, but they let me know up front. I stopped in this week with two pairs of broken glasses. They were able to fix one pair on the spot and ordered an identical replacement frame for the other pair for only $24. I am so glad I stopped in to inquire about fixing them rather than purchasing two new pairs. I'll definitely be back the next time my prescription changes. read more

We've been getting our glasses here for over 20 years, since we lived in the area. We are no longer in the area, but they ship to us for a nominal fee. When we go back to Tucson to visit, if we have a new prescription we pick out a pair, they ship within a week if we won't be there to pick them up. You can't beat their prices and service is great. Even with insurance you can't beat the price and quality. Highly recommended. read more

Lesco makes decent cheap glasses. And I think if they fall apart, they'll take care of it. My problem with them is that their selection is so limited, and the glasses are so ugly that shopping at Lesco means settling for glasses you don't like. I have to live with these things and I hate the old man glasses they dispense. I'm old, but I do have standards. read more

Very disappointed!! I purchased glasses here and was told to use mild dish liquid and water, and nothing but 100% cotton cloths or their cloths. I did what I was told and the scratch coating seems to be wearing off by nose guard area. They tried to say something was rubbing it there, but all that happens is normal body oils. When I went in to see what they could do, they said they could do NOTHING! They told me it was my fault for using what I was told, and said I should have been using an alcohol water mixture.. That's not a great way to keep a customer coming back. I really feel they should've taken care of a customer, especially if they followed cleaning method that the employee suggested?? read more

A review about a place that makes eyeglasses? HELLZ YEAH! I recently went to get glasses for myself, and was happy then, but this is about tonight, and my son. He had an exam not to long ago, and was able to get some contacts from Costco. He didn't take kindly to contacts....as some young men do not. His interest in glasses was about the same level as Squidward putting in an honest day of work at the Crusty Crab. I mostly drug my son there, explaining in great exaggeration about how his eyes will fall out in a most disgusting manner if he doesn't get glasses. To make a long story short, they had frames he really liked himself in, and that is ALL that matters.....at a really reasonable price. Get you eyes checked, get your script, then go to Lesco. Save money, get good frames, be happy. read more

When I first got here I did not realize that they do not do exams they only dispense glasses Loved this place the entire staff got involved in helping me pick out my glasses I will get them in 7-10days I cannot wait amazing price $60 out the door! They also recommended that I have my eye exam done at Tucson Family Eyecare with Dr. Thomas Ginman on Oracle Road since I wanted an appointment right away and they except walk-ins I will go back to him for my annual check ups he was excellent read more

I've gone to many different eye glass stores over the years and Christine at Lesco was by far the most helpful and knowledgeable person I have ever met in this field. We had a very interesting and helpful conversation about lens materials, high index lens construction, astigmatism and it's affect on scuba masks, and a number of other things. She also volunteered to adjust my glasses for free if I happened to buy them online, as well as to check the prescription in them for accuracy. Her prices were reasonable, and there is no question I will be going to her for my glasses needs for a long time to come. read more

My wife and I bought a lot of glasses from Lesco and were happy until our last pair of glasses. When they came in, our vision for both of us seemed a little off. We were told that it was because of our age, I was 62, my wife 57. We went back to the eye doctor and he rechecked our vision, showing us what he reported and how the glasses from Lesco were. Clearly a difference. We took the same prescription to Costco and had new glasses made and our vision was perfect. This was around 3-4 years ago and have not set foot in Lesco since. read more

I'm from Tucson, and I've been getting my glasses from Lesco since I was a child. I'm now 30, and I live in rural California. I love the glasses that I last purchased from them... in 2009. I called, and it turned out that the frames have since been discontinued, but Christine, at the Oracle location, took the afternoon to track down a supplier who had a back stock of my favorite frames (by description only, since it had been so many years!). It was such a delight to be able to replace my frames in a town where there are very, very, very limited options for frames. I'd been looking on my own for two years. My problem was solved in just an afternoon. This is the most thoughtful customer service I've ever experienced. read more
