Bait and switch!!!!! When i called for an appointment to get a contact lens prescription i asked if the visit was covered by Medicare. They told me yes. A few days before the appointment the office called to confitm my insurance and advised that there is a $45 contact lens exam fee. When i went to the appointment they advised at check out that neither Medicare or my supplement covered the exam and the charge was $130!!! They would not give me the contact lens prescription unless i paid up. Do not go to this office. The staff is not good read more

Dr. Lee and the staff was great! I was able to make an appointment for the next day. The examination room was very clean and organized. Everyone was friendly, helpful and was able to get in and out in a short amount of time. There is a large selection of glasses to choose from (I assume at different price points). I was told they have over 3,000 pairs of glasses! There are also 1-2 opticians who can help you choose the best frame for your face or a look that you are going for. Despite it being winter, they were kind to offer me water while I waited/ filled out the short form. I was given a sheet to inform me of my benefits and an assistant went over the costs of daily contacts compared to bi-weekly and monthly. Dr. Lee was professional and did a great job explaining the importance of having eyes dilated to check for retinal detachment for patients with high prescription. I appreciated her patience and time she took to answer my questions. She also was able to give me a sample of gel eye drops I was curious to try (I had not gotten around to it because college life) and informed me she would follow up in a couple weeks to see whether I'll be going with the biweekly or dailies. I am not happy with my glasses. I purchased both regular and script sunglasses. The service was lovely when I went in but terrible when I went to pick up. First of all I asked if I could sit down to try my glasses but was told no. I had to stand basically by a display case to try two sets of glasses. I saw and asked for a place to sit like when I ordered but she didn't want to that because "We have to clean it every time." Then when I tried in my regular glasses she asked how they felt but had no interest in checking or adjusting them. Next, I told her I was not happy with my sunglasses and they were far to light and I wouldn't be happy with them. She wouldn't do anything but simply told me to come back in two weeks. I told her I would feel the same in two weeks. I had called before pick up and asked to speak to the Dr and was told I couldn't leave a message because I. could talk to her Monday and yet when I went in was told she wasn't in Monday? I was told my new glasses would have all the same extras as my old glasses but the lenses ate not the same! I've never purchased one pair let alone two and not had a place to try them on. She wouldn't allow me to sit in at socially distanced safe table because she'd have to clean it? I dint leave a lot of complaint reviews but after much thought I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this. read more

Made an appointment in super quick time. Very fast check in/ new costumer paperwork . Got my initial exam performed perfectly and professionally. Met with Doctor, she was excellent. In short order, she had my vision exam and dilation tests complete. The eye glass selection is one of the best I've encountered. She had about 6-8 pairs picked out for my personal selection. They had my insurance coverage on hand to let me know what my insurance would cover, and my out of pocket cost would be. Before I left, the doctor had some trial contacts for my use for the upcoming week and had me scheduled for follow up appointment next week. Was dreading to go get glasses again, it's been 5 yrs since the last exam. Met Jessica at the door, super friendly and helpful, answered all my questions with confidence, a surprising departure from the previous eye store. I made exam appts for my Mom and myself, we showed up on time, and they took us on time, another plus. The eye doc was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us both comfortable. As we paid for the exams, Jessica asked if my Mom was with AARP, gathering another discount for her. Excellent choice in eyewear, and they have their own lab to create the lenses. Overall, this place will be our last place for our eyes. Everyone there is friendly and professional. If you're tired of going to a place feeling rushed, it's time to change. read more

This company is a joke. They don't tell you there are no returns or exchanges. I had to read it on the receipt after I had already left the office. I called before the prescription was processed to try and stop the order to remove anti glare and it was a shit show. If you call to complain or want something changed they make it seem like you're being difficult and causing a problem. Their employees lie. I was told with a previous order I had issues with by a manager that if they didn't process the order they could refund me but that was retracted. I said I wanted a refund they out right refused. I asked if they could at least take the anti glare and refund me. They refused said they could give store credit. That's how hard up on money they're. They will take but not give. They don't value customers or have any knowledge in customer service. It's all peachy until you're not happy or want a change in the order. Little things like that you wouldn't think would be a big deal. Think again!!! read more

Talk about refreshing customer service! After a recent disappointing experience at my previous eye care center, I wasn't overly optimistic but remained hopeful for a positive visit for my first trip to Clear Vision Express. Good news right out of the gate as Vanessa greeted me on the phone: she was upbeat, informative, cheerful and friendly. Once I arrived at the office, they cranked the warm & inviting reception up to the next level. Lisa was so sweet and had the calming effect of a tabby cat as she explained the step-by-step process for my new Rx lenses; First she checked with their in-house lab to see if they had the ability to craft lenses to fit my existing frames; check! Then she checked my insurance and gave me options on the billing: check! Lastly she said they would most likely have them finished in 2-3 days but would call me with updates. Wow, 2-3 days?!? Call me with updates? What's that?!? My last eye care center promised to deliver in less than 2 weeks and actually delivered in 3 1/2 weeks with not a single phone call! In true professional fashion, Clear Vision Express under-promised and over-delivered. Lisa called me twice in the same day and pleasantly informed me my glasses were done THE SAME DAY. Yes, same day service! Was this a dream, or did it really happen? It DID happen and you won't be disappointed if you give Clear Vision the opportunity next time you need eye care. I can't say enough good things about Clear Vision Express. I have worn glasses and/or contacts for 50 years so I have lots of experience with optometrists. Dr. Heather Hickson is just awesome! She takes her time and knows her stuff. Best Eye Doctor that I have ever seen. They also have a great selection of glasses as well as a lab on site. I had my new glasses within 24 hours. The staff was wonderful and very helpful as I tried to pick out frames. I love my new glasses! I had insurance billing issues, and the ladies up front waited on hold with my insurance company and had it sorted out for me by the end of my appt. Dr. Hickson was amazing! I had to go back to Clear Vision the day after choosing new frames, because the folks in the lab said there was a chance the they would break because of the type of lenses I require. Had a great experience at CVE. From the time my wife and I walked in the staff was very courteous and professional. Dr. Hickson was very thorough in her exam and had a great "bedside manner"! She was very professional but she was also interested in me and what I did. Once finished with the exam Leslie walked me through choosing frames and lenses. I had extra glare coating put on the lens and didn't like how it it looked. I called them and let them know. I dropped off the glasses and had my new lenses a day and half later. I love this place! From the minute I walked in until I picked my glasses (quicker than I expected), this team was friendly, helpful, caring and helpful. The doctor spent a whole lot of extra time with me, finding a new solution for my eye affliction. She even called me after I left to suggest a new alternative. The lady who helped me pick out glasses and add features took the time to explain each option and to make sure I understood my selections. They got my prescription wrong, then I had to come back a third time for a new exam because they couldn't do it that night, and they still got it wrong. Severely overpriced glasses. Even with "insurance" the prices are ridiculous.

My glass frame suddenly completely broke and I had no back up. I took a chance and stopped in to Clear Vision Express on Thornydale, a new store. I was hopeful for affordable glasses (I had a recent script from my eye doc place that was already closed for the day). The sales manager, Sha, saw me coming and opened the door for me (I use a cane). She listened to my situation. As the lenses were still usable, she measured and found a frame - out of hundreds on the shelves - that would be possible to retro fit my lenses into, per their on site lab. Within 10 minutes, the lab tech put my lenses in a new frame and had thoughtfully and carefully ground polished a chip I had in each lens (from the break) at no extra charge. The sales manager fit my glass frames to my needs, was very knowledgeable, professional and polite - and kind. Their store was sparkling clean. Sha educated me on my options for new glasses when I'm more financially ready to go with the full progressive script. I was appreciative of her excellent customer service, decent price on the available frame - and that she even suggested salvaging my current lenses with a new frame for the short term (to be the back up pair later). I really was grateful they were open after I got off work (til 8 on Tue). I'll be back again to this place. These people were really great to work with. read more
