My glasses broke and had super glue on them when I went it. I needed help to get a renewed script since my last eye exam was in 2023. I've had glasses since I was 13, I'm now 32, this place is so bad they completely rushed through my exam, the doctor disregarded me saying my right eye was completely fuzzy and not clear throughout my whole insurance paid exam. Printed my prescription and rushed me out to the lobby. Only to immediately run out to lunch with her purse. The prescription they gave me was absolutely useless because it didn't. Even. Have my RIGHT EYE prescribed anything. Absolutely trash. I wish I was exaggerating. They never responded to me until I posted a Google review. And they expect me to just jump back into a chair with a dr i do not trust? Trust broken. DO NOT GO HERE. they overcharge on their frames. WAYYY overcharge on lenses. At any other glasses store having full vision insurance coverage means you should be able to find frames&lenses without any out of pocket. There are places in town that can do a proper eye exam and get you your glasses within 2 hours not 2 weeks. Which verified how wrong my RX was and couldn't believe they messed mine up so bad. My son and I had eye appointments as we've both been experiencing difficulty lately. Scheduling over the phone was super easy and the lady was helpful with finding my eye insurance in their system. They were able to get us in within two weeks. The exam was pretty simple, technology has come along way to make things fast. The Dr was very friendly and confirmed our concerns. Mr. Lopez helped us pick out glasses that didn't break the bank as this was our very first time needing glasses. Mr. Lopez also explained prices and policies to help up us make the right decision. Bring the POPCORN I went to Sunburst Optical 6 weeks ago to purchase my prescription lenses and it was a disaster. As a disable military veteran we are limited when it comes to vision and health insurance we can afford and select. 6 weeks ago I was at their office looking for some glasses that will fit me and my budget. I was able to find what I was looking and we ordered the glasses. All the way until today when we are trying to paid for the order I was informed by the sales person they do not accept my insurance. #BlueCross #BlueShield #FepBlueVision #OptionHigh I asked why they don't accept this insurance and was told by their representative it was the OWNERS CALL NOT TO ACCEPT THE INSURANCE. So I called @bluecross 1-800-773-2847 and they told me the reason most likely was that they are selling over priced lenses and Blue Cross will not paid their premium prices. Worst experience ever! I ordered lenses for frames I had purchased from them previously. When I picked them up I could not see at all! I told them something was wrong. They told me I just had to get used to them. I get that if it was new frames or a significantly new prescription but that was not the case. They assured me the prescription was exactly as the provider order and I should just give it a try. I left feeling unheard AND couldn't see. I returned again after having to switch back to an old pair and a previous (very old) prescription because I could not see. This time someone else was helping me (I later learned she was the office manager). She told me new glasses are like a new pair of shoes they take time to adjust. Again I insisted I could not see there must be something wrong with the lenses and asked her to put my old lenses back in so I could at least be using a more updated prescription (even though it was the not the one I needed) until they could get me in to see the provider again because she insisted the lenses were made with the prescription he ordered. When she put my old lenses back in I said "something isn't right" I cant see with these, are you sure you put in my old lenses? She actually laughed at me loud enough the whole store heard her. I left, embarrassed, defeated, angry, and STILL could not see. I went home and my husband looked at the glasses and found she had mounted the lenses backward. As soon as he fixed them I could see. I went back to the store, told the only person that treated me with respect what had happened, and she mounted the new lenses (the correct direction) and wow I could see perfectly! Two associates in the store mounted my lenses backward and told me it was just something I had to get use to. It was basically my problem not the fact they mounted the lenses wrong. I highly do not recommend Sunburst Optical! They do NOT tell you about a 20% restocking fee even if your glasses are incorrectly made. To no fault of my own they will not make good on their work by replacing the lenses with correct ones, or refunding my full purchase. I was told I was in the wrong, and when I got upset I was very rudely treated and asked to leave. I spent over $1000 on glasses and now I'm shit out of luck! read more

Today I had an awesome visit with Dr. Liston and his team. I opted for the additional eye health photos because of a family history of macular degen, and it was so cool! I really loved the technology. The technician was friendly and helped me through all the test. Dr. Listons exam was thorough and he found a great prescription for me. I was able to make an appointment as a new patient very easily and within the next calendar week. I was told I should arrive early to fill out some paperwork so I arrived 30 mins early, but ended up sitting in the waiting room for 50 minutes (20 mins) past my appt time anyways which was kind of frustrating. All in all the staff was super helpful and friendly; the only downside is that things seem to move at a little slower pace and I spent 2 hours there just to get new contact prescriptions. I was examined because I was having trouble seen...it was not until the end of the exam that I was told I had cataracts. Instead of referring me to the appropriate cataract specialist, they sold me glasses. Which I know now I did not need and did not help me. Their staff was extremely rude and I was even questioned as if I were a criminal as to why I didn't tell the receptionist that I had insurance. The optometrist refused to write the pupillary distance on the prescription, which is a must have to purchase glasses. They do this specifically so you cannot purchase glasses online. I've used Sunburst Optical for my last 2 vision exams and glasses prescriptions. I have no complaints. I find all the staff friendly, informative and helpful. The Dr Brooks listens and is very easy to talk to. When I first used Sunburst I had received glasses from a national chain that we're slightly off. The staff at the chain kept telling me the glasses were fine when I knew they weren't. I went to Sunburst and Dr Brooks found that the lenses weren't quite right and I finally got the right prescription. Both my prescriptions/lenses have been right on but if they had not been, I'm sure they would have worked to make it right. The office space is small but it's neat and clean. I'm always acknowledged by staff at the desk in a friendly manner and they actually make eye contact! I will continue to use Sunburst for my vision care. read more

New location for this eye doctor. Just moved out to this area and was referred by my insurance website. Had such a great experience! Usually I dread these things but I felt right at home. It has the feel of a small town office where everyone talks to you like a friend. All staff was extremely helpful and even looked into getting me the best deal possible from all insurance resources. Dr. Liston has Midwestern manners and really likes to get to know you as a person and get you the best product for your needs. He even spoke to me about the science behind my choices. Dr Brooks was extremely nice and initially I thought the staff was pretty friendly. I sat with Kyle to order my lenses with my existing frames he was extremely helpful felt everything was going to work out great. But after a few days I received a call stating that the lab had broke my glasses and so they would have to order me new ones which they have assured me it would be the same frames I had before. Now waiting two weeks I called to check status and Cris (Female) was extremely rude, undermining me without just waiting and listening to what the issue was talked over me like I was some child provided poor customer service! I will never go back to this place!! It's too bad places like this keep employees with poor customer service I don't care how sweet you sound.!! Original visit was in June 2019...!!! I got my glasses for free because they thought I wouldn't notice that they gave me a smaller frame then the original ones they broke! I had to go in and pick out an entire new pair. I was sold frames and new digital lenses, which were recommended by the optician. After having problems, I went back to the doctor and he expressed concern over the glasses. When I went back to Sunburst they offered to replace everything with a substantially cheaper product but they only offered to refund 1/3 of the difference in cost. The manager was extremely rude. Lucky for me my insurance company refunded the difference. I will never go back. read more
