Tadashi is new to town. It isn't your walk in sit down be waited kind of place. Hmmm look at that…read moreold food truck! Does that thing even start? ... as i walked up the ramp to go inside- you actually order at the food truck window and you can go inside the repurposed house and sit and wait in the sheltered cool while your GO ORDER is prepared. If you can get passed that part of it, the hybrid experience is well worth it. Once done- you take your buzzer back out to the food truck and receive your go order. You can take it back inside and eat- or you can easily be back in your vehicle and headed to the house- which was my choice- living within a mile. Have heard a few good things- was happy to try them. I ordered Tadashi 2- steak and rice and a California roll. I wasn't paying attention- I would rather have noodles- instead of rice. I never would have ordered rice but I messed up and glad I did. The rice was DELICIOUS and perfectly cooked- moist, add a little yum yum and BANG!- great. Steak was good, maybe cooked a little too long for my preference - but zero complaints. My daughter got steak and noodles. I was able to try the noodles. Very good. I got home - opened up my bucket and figured one little bit wouldn't hurt before I took a picture- ... well- you see how that turned out. Great to have an other good choice so close to the house that isn't traditional fast food. OH- and I personally liked paying in a second or 2 with cashapp.

Food 2/5. Service 5/5…read moreAmbiance 4/5 These folks were very nice. The truck and set up really seemed like they have it dialed in. People seemed to have called their orders in or what we saw were DoorDash drivers, but it was a pretty steady flow. I should preference this by saying my wife and I are from California and we're foodies. Here is what worked - Easy access Easy parking Reasonable prices Very nice staff Creative Menu The Yum Sauce is yummy The Vegetables on my 3 meat Habachi dinner The Sake was great ;-) (that was something we bought when we were in Holbrook AZ, so not from this place - it just worked to add it) What did not work - Most of our food just wasn't good. The sushi roll - the rice was not sushi rice and it tasted old or stale or something. My first bite was not good. And just opening it up looking at it - I didn't find it appealing. I threw away most of it. I didn't love the ginger or wasabi. It tasted artificial The fish didn't taste fresh. I don't know how people in the middle of the country do seafood, but this was not good. The Jalapeño Bomb - I think the idea of it is good. But it was, for me - dessert level sweet and left a weird mouth feel. The 3 meat combination dinner was just ok. We're digital nomads, full time RVers and we travel all over the country. We really enjoy supporting locals and really enjoy that. We also recognize that local tastes are what may dictate the reviews. As far as ambiance, if you're eating there it might be too hot to sit outside. Maybe there is a way to eat inside, but that wasn't obvious to us. It, for us, is always a crap shoot. This one didn't work. We always say that our rating would be completely dependent on if we would go back. We would not.

Review Visit: May 18th, 2012…read more Noodles & Good Company. On our way to Bloomington for a concert, my dad, Matt and I needed some food. We wanted to make sure we had enough food in us before we rocked out to some music for a few hours. I didn't have a particular place in mind but I did ask if anyone wanted to try a place on my list of places... to try. Somehow we ended up picking Noodles & Company. Noodles & Company is one of those places that I had seen a ton of advertisements for, but never had the chance to visit due to none being in my town. I had no idea what to expect and was slightly disappointed with the menu offerings. Nothing really sounded appealing on the menu. I can usually find something worth wanting to order but not at this particular time. Maybe it was my mood, my appetite, or some other cosmic forces at work but nothing sounded good except for a meatball sub, which I am indifferent on. The three of us placed our orders, sat down, and waited. It didn't take long before we had our food. My dad and Matt ordered a soup of some sorts. I looked at my meatball sub and thought that it just didn't look appealing. But, not one to let my apprehension get in the way of eating perfectly okay food, I dug in. It... wasn't bad. For not expecting much, the sandwich was pretty decent. After a few bites, my appetite worked it's way over to accepting what I was eating and was okay with it. As I finished, I asked how my dad and Matt were enjoying their meals. I got a very 'eh' response from both of them. I would be willing to try Noodles & Company again should I be with someone who wants to go. They do have a good-sized menu with plenty of stuff to pick from, it's just not a place that I find on my radar. Go there yourself and see if its a place that your appetite finds more appealing.
