Have been here multiple times and have enjoyed each visit We were there on a Thursday night and it wasn't too crowded which was nice and we found parking pretty easily which can sometimes be challenging in downtown Morgan Hill (but not as hard as finding parking in Willow Glen where there used to be an Opa) There is inside and outside seating and it was a bit chilly so we opted for indoors. They have booths but those were all taken so we sat at a table in the middle of the dining room. Have sat outside on a previous visit and it was lovely Ordered cocktails and the starters zucchini chips and the Greek fries. Both were very nice and tasty. The starters came out before the cocktails which is why 4 stars instead of 5 Dinner was 1)moussaka - this was prepared very nicely with a nice ratio of eggplant, meat and cheese 2) pasticio - we had never had this before and it was really good. The combination of the beef and lamb was delicious 3) lemon chicken & orzo - this is prepared in a signature Opa lemon marinade which was refreshing and comfort food all in one. The orzo was such a great combination with the chicken Roman was our server. He was very pleasant and funny. Our first time here, recommended by our good friend. Huge restaurant with a lot of seatings inside and outside. Since it was a warm day we opted to do an outside dining. Restaurant is clean as well as the restrooms. There's a huge parking lot close by. It's in the heart of downtown area. The service is great! All staffs are friendly and accommodating. The foods were good especially the chicken that my hubby and friend ordered as well as our appetizers, the Greek nachos. But I didn't like the moussaka that I ordered. It was super dry, and a bit salty and doesn't have enough eggplants and bechamel cheese. I have to say this is not authentic moussaka. Went here for happy hour. First time at this location. Service was great. I feel like this is smaller than the other locations but it's hard to tell with its great high vaulted ceilings. I came here with a party of 4. We had reservations but they seemed to have a lot of tables inside open so I assume the wait wouldn't have been a long time if we didn't have a reservation. It was 6pm on a Sunday for reference. Our server was very polite. The food was good. We had the falafel bites and zucchini chips as appetizers. I would recommend both. The falafel had a nice green color inside and wasn't dry as some are. The zucchini chips come with a garlic paste/topping which puts it over the top. I ordered the lemon chicken orzo. It had great flavor, a little on the sweeter side from the honey. I personally wish it had more of a lemon flavor but that's just me. I would love to come back to try other items on the menu though. This review is based on a visit Friday 05/16 @ 630pm. We had reservations for 630pm and, even though the staff standing and chatting at the bar watched us walk in and stand by the podium, it was still several minutes before we were approached and seated. Our waitress was friendly and nice, took our drink and food order right away, but there was a long wait for our meals. It took more than 25 minutes for 2 entrees to be served and then took another 15 minutes for our last entree. The Lemon Chicken Orzo had a good amount of grilled chicken breast but also had a large amount of chopped white onions cooked in with the either the orzo or the sauce, but that was not listed on the menu. The Opa! meatloaf was served with delicious spinach and garlic mashed potatoes but the straight-up tomato sauce on the meatloaf was too strong of a taste. The Greek Cheesesteak Sandwich was the same grilled chicken chunks as the Lemon Chicken Orzo (and probably every other chicken dish on the menu), served on a pita, and it was pretty tasty. I would order it again but I'm not sure I would go back and wait almost 45 minutes in a restaurant that wasn't very busy. **I do have to mention that their bar drinks are quite good! Our customer service was amazing; from the hostess to the two waiters that took care even during one of the busiest nights, with a huge prom night dinner party going on as well. Cocktails were fun and delicious; we really enjoy the sangria & Aphrodite's chariot The sizzling fried cheese was a great display for date night and fun to eat together, comparing who had the best "cheese pull"! The Beef Slovakia & Moussaka were great picks - we had a lovely dinner finished off with the Baklava; which was the only thing on the menu that was just OK. One item needing attention: the patio area- it would be great during super windy nights if they cranked up or brought in more heaters; the ceiling heaters don't really give off enough to feel that they are even on. Perhaps some dividers covered in fake Ivy one both sides of the patio would protect from the high winds. The staff was gracious enough to relocated not only my party but the two parties next to us inside to enjoy dessert as we were all freezing. 3.5 stars solid Been here a few times. I do enjoy it more than the other locations as it's not as crowded and plenty of parking all around the area. This time, we were in the area and wanted to get a few bites to eat and a cold drink or two since it's quite warm outside. I called and realized it's Monday and within their happy hour so we HAVE to stop. We did. Plenty of seats at 4pm, had the option of sitting inside or outside. We opted for inside. We're greeted right away and menu in hand. Just realized that all the prices went up but totally understandable. We Ordered a few HH items plus 2 alcoholic drinks. It's pretty decent overall. Visited Opa on a Thursday afternoon. Weather was perfect so my boyfriend and I sat on the patio. We had the Opa Fries, the sangria, and the Gyro Pita. The Opa Fries came with a sauce that was addicting! It was like mustard and vinaigrette had a baby. The feta was my favorite part and was sprinkled all over. The sangria was so refreshing and had pieces of fruit inside! The STAR of the show was the Gyro Pita. It came with a really delicious side salad with a variety of different veggies. As a gyro connoisseur, I thought that this gyro was perfect in that it wasn't dry, the tzatziki was flavorful, and the portion of gyro was generous. 10/10 recommend! read more

We arrived at 6 for our reservation. Three employees were at the front register engaged in a conversation, totally ignoring us for what seemed like a long time before we were welcomed and seated. I went to use the ladies restroom and one of the two stalls was out of toilet paper. There were shreds of tp littering the stalls. I went to wash my hands and the paper towel bin was overflowing and used paper towels surrounded the garbage bin on the floor, many towels deep. After ordering drinks and dinner, my husband told our waiter that the restrooms needed attention. Drinks and appetizers came quickly. The Opa fries were delicious! Dinner arrived and many minutes later we had to ask for the salad that was supposed to accompany my husband's Moussaka. The Moussaka was ok but it was mostly zucchini NOT eggplant!! What? Did they run out of eggplant? Zucchini is NOT mentioned on the menu for this dish. We interacted with our waiter 3 times. Once for ordering drinks, once for ordering dinner and once to pay the bill. Never did he check on us to offer us another drink or dessert and so we had to flag down other staff members if we needed something. After dinner I returned to the restroom and it was in exactly the same state...disgusting!!!! What a way to welcome mothers on Mother's Day! Nope, nope and nope. I had heard this place was amazing but I must've went on a off night because the food was subpar at best. We ordered - falafel -dolmas with beef - spicy flank steak - lamb pita - beef skewers Where do I start??? The fake gel was the best thing of the night and they were chewy. Falafel is not supposed to be chewy!!! The dolmas were cold on the inside and the taste was nasty. Nothing good about it at all. The flank steak was over cooked, no taste, the cheese on top was salty and it was just awful. For $29 you expect way more. The mash potatoes and asparagus were the saving grace. Even then the mash potatoes were tasteless. My husbands lamb pita was chewy and immediately made him sick. My son got the kids beef skewer and it was "tasteless and hard to chew". It also made him sick. Honestly, the service was not awesome. The kid was kind but had mo clue. Receiving our food they bumped our heads and shoulders, the hot plate almost dumped onto me. The good: It was easy to make reservations online. They have a lovely outdoor dining area here and the indoor dining space is light, airy and also nice. The interior has extremely vaulted ceilings so the space feels airy. I came during happy hour and was able to try the sangria and gyro fries. I tried the beet salad and thought it was delicious. It had both purple and orange beet. It was my first time trying orange beet and I thought they were amazing (sweet with a more subtle beet flavor). I also tried the chicken with mashed potatoes, leeks and spinach. My piece of meat was tender and flavorful. Our waiter was super friendly and efficient. The bad: The gyro meat on the fries would have been nicer if the pieces were cut smaller rather than be in large flat slabs. It was also a bit too salty. The sangria tasted like just red wine with fruit rather than it have all of the other alcohol that comes in a classic sangria. The flatbread was a little bit tough to eat because of the texture of the flatbread. It would've been nice if the pita flatbread were toasted. My husband also tried my chicken dish but got a piece that was drier. We were seated close to another table even though it seemed like there were many other tables around. Opa! Is more than an excellent place to get freshly prepared greek dishes... it's a full on experience! I love the aromas that fill the dinning area as you sip wine, talk to friends or peruse the menu... the booths are large and luxurious and the tables are intimate. The staff is always friendly, and seemingly eager to assist with recommendations or refills. Truly, a pleasant experience. Visited this location to have lunch with my boyfriend and wasn't disappointed at all. Large portions of food, primo fresh ingredients and amazing flavor all around. What is the first time in my life that I sent food back because it was cold. Somebody forgot to put the salad dressing on my meal, french fries were ice cold, and so was the chicken dish that I recommended to my guest. My glass of wine only had a few ounces in it, and there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant during peak lunch hour that resulted in poor service. Morgan Hill reminds me of restaurant row in Los Angeles. Lots of great choices and the menus and so many of them looked great. Opa got a great review and I can see why as a food was wonderful. The service was friendly and other suggestions that the waiter made with a good one. I was going to have the chicken orzo lemon soup and he suggested that I have the entrée. Well it was delicious but there would've been enough for about three people, so we have it in the refrigerator at the hotel and I would really hate to see it go to waste. Next time I'm going to share it with someone. My husband had the Greek salad and it was plentiful and he said it was wonderful too. So if you drive through Morgan Hill be sure and stop and have some good food. I've been to the Opa over in Willow Glen. This was my first time at the one in Morgan Hill. To keep in line with Covid restrictions they offer outside dining. Since this one is nestled comfortably amongst their downtown strip of quaint shops and restaurants there is a lot of parking available. The restaurant is beautiful. Whomever designed this building and was in charge of decor knew exactly the type of ambiance needed. The inside of the restaurant features high ceilings. Large ceiling to floor windows. An open concept that flows seamlessly to their outdoor dining. Today it was my 2 sons and I whom dined. We were greeted promptly and offered our choice of seating. While my boys chose I had to use the restroom. Anyone whom follows me knows I can't in clear conscience give 5 stars unless I can review all aspects of the venue. So thats why I can give 5 stars for this establishment. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. There was also a reminder sign that listed covid etiquette and being in public. I found the table my boys chose and we already had water and the boys had already downloaded the menu via the QR code. As soon as I sat the waitress came and offered to take our drink orders and as usual my boys chose arnold Palmers. She offered to grab the drinks to provide us a moment to decide on what to order. We ordered zucchini crisps, veggie saute with a medium cooked beef skewer, lamb gyro platter, opa fries and a mixed platter of fried onions, green beans, shrimp and calamari. The zucchini crisps were indeed crisps. They came with a dollop of their garlic spread which cut the fryNESS of the crisps. The mix of veggies and seafood was done perfectly. Green beans still had a bite to them. Shrimp was not gummy and calamari crisp. The batter that coated them was perfection because it was light. The veggie saute with beek skewer, was perfect. The beef cooked to medium, well marinated, tender and juicy as beef should be. It also came with a skewer of grilled veggies on top a bed of onion, mushroom and spinach saute. Such a delicious low carb meal idea. Also ordered was that lamb gyro platter. I think I like the platter option as opposed to the gyro sandwich. I like the option of picking and choosing what each bite will consist of. The lamb perfectly seasoning. That pita bread was divine. The portions were plentiful. We typically order a bunch of stuff and all eat off of each. We call it family style. This way we get to try an array of things. This was the first time my 14 year old was trying lamb and he's a fan. Just when we thought we didn't have room for much else the waitress brings the dessert menu. What's a trip of the palate like the one we just had without the icing on the cake? So I ordered their baklava sundae. It came with 2 baklava triangles dripping in honey and served with a side of whipped cream and huge helping of vanilla ice cream. So delicious! Our meal came out to $98. Not bad for all the food we ordered and the quality of service provided. Our server checked in with us just enough to not feel as if she was a helicopter parent and made sure the boys drinks remained topped off. Another thing I loved was their patio was adorned with heaters that kept us warm from above. I think I like those better as opposed to the stand alone floor towers that I feel nearly burn my face off. These were just overhead and you could feel the warmth but not feel like you were on a vertical skewer spit being cooked like that delicious lamb gyro that was just devoured. read more
