Today is New Years, went out in search for an open eatery and saw this new restaurant open and busy so decided to give it a try. So glad we did, this type of old school Chinese restaurant is exactly what Gilroy didn't know we needed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted kindly, staff was all so vibrant and welcoming. Now for the food... we ordered an assortment of items all of which did not disappoint. Food was hot fresh made to order and everything was delicious. Not greasy, not overly salty everything was great! Great new addition to Gilroy, we'll be back!

Today we chose this restaurant for lunch nearby. The customer service is very good. The food quality and taste are outstanding. They have lunch specials for working days. All in all, It's a good restaurant to go for Chinese dishes in Gilroy.

Agree with the other reviewers that the staff was friendly and food was ready when they said it would be ready. We liked everything we ordered with the exception the bbq chow mein. We thought it lacked flavored. My favorite was the ginger beef (although it could have been the Mongolian beef). I loved the fresh ginger. Good portion sizes.

Crab Rangoon, egg roll, veggie chow mein, fried rice, sweet and sour pork & Kung pao prawns!

We are thrilled to have China Delight in Gilroy! It's a Christmas Eve tradition of ours to have Chinese food and we always travel to SJ to get China Delight. So happy we didn't have to go far this year! Food was delicious and service was great.

Unlike the other seafood boil places the food came in a ceramic serving tray. We ordered the house sauce with medium spice with shrimp, king crab and clams. The spice level was perfect and so was the sauce. Very pleased with this service, portions, pricing and the flavors. Definitely coming back to taste several other items on the menu. I would have loved for them to play some music rather than the silence. I wasn't too bothered. Y it though since I was too focused on the food.

Service was good, but they were down a server so a bit slow. First red flag were the chips, which were stale, not crunchy or crispy. I could fold the chips in half. Also ordered a Diet Coke and a Modelo. Diet Coke was brought out in a can with no glass or ice, no glass for the beer either. At home, maybe, but would expect more at a restaurant. Ordered the chicken cheese quesadilla, Carne Asada super burrito, and a regular Carne Asada burrito. The chicken in the cheese quesadilla was a bit hard, reminiscent of leftover chicken that has been sitting for a while. Regular burrito was good, plenty of meat, beans and rice. Super burrito was mostly filled with rice and beans, not much meat. The waitress was very nice, however the food left much to be desired. Unfortunately, search for it go to Mexican restaurant in Gilroy continues.

I should not trust a person who doesn't like seafood. How am I going to share a meal with someone that doesn't eat fish? My whole protein diet is based on fish and red meat. You come here to drink Thai Tea with extra cream not a shot of whiskey for $6.00. It was a good business meeting but I am going to have to come back here with someone who really enjoys food. This is the second time I have gone to eat with someone who kind of ruined the experience of a new restaurant for me. It is not their fault. I had a headache and now I have a low tolerance for people who are not on the same vibe as me.

There's a sign that says "Wait to be seated", but no one came out to seat us and a group of people walked past us to go inside, were sat right away. A girl who sat us ended up being our server but took a very long time for her to come back out to even take our drink orders. I had to ask the guy bringing water and tortilla chips who our server was. Once our server arrived she was very nice and answered our menu questions. I ordered the the spicy Mamacita and my friend ordered the pina colada. Both drinks looked cool but mine was very sweet, not really spicy at all and was tiny for $15. I think I mostly paid for the presentation part...flower, popsicle, etc. We both ordered the 3 taco trio and the food came out before long. I had a mahi mahi, carne asada and a taco macho. Again, the food wasn't that great: rice and beans had an off flavor, octopus was chewy in the taco macho, and the mahi was a bit fishy. We took half our food to go and checked out. All in all I would not come back unless it was out of convenience due to the location. The food and drinks have a nice presentation, but the taste of everything wasn't there for me. Although our server was really nice and my friend and I were busy chatting, the service was slow.

From the outside, it's easy to miss. Tucked away in Gilroy like it's keeping a secret. Inside? Every square foot is doing overtime. We decided to eat at Ninja Sushi since we ate there once a long time ago probably like 14 years ago. We arrived there on a Saturday late afternoon for a late lunch . The sushi restaurant is located off of 1st street in an older plaza in Gilroy. Nob Hills is in the same plaza. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot out front. Ninja Sushi has clean sleek modern decor. The restaurant is divided into two spacious rooms. In the larger room it's family friendly where the sushi bar, tables, and booths are at for dine in. The other room consists of the full bar with plenty of high chairs. Both rooms look inviting. We ordered the Wonderful sushi roll, two sake nigiri, steamed gyoza, Garlic roll, Star roll, large hazy IPA beer and a glass of Chardonnay. Everything was tasty but nothing special. The Wonderful was flavorful and I enjoyed the little scallops. The gyoza was steamed which made it taste more succulent. Star roll was scrumptious with every bite. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Ninja Sushi. The staff were nice and accommodating. There was a local favorite vibe going on. My one huge gripe though I had was the price point particularly the bento boxes and the special rolls were more pricier than I expected. Since the restaurant is located in Gilroy I expected the price point to be much more fair and on par with the sushi restaurants in Morgan Hill. It's been awhile since the last time we were there, not sure when we will be back again.

I ordered a burrito costing $18 because it was supposedly loaded with extra ingredients; I also ordered a "Super Burrito" for $14--and it turned out the Super Burrito was actually larger and had more fillings. From the moment we arrived, our waitress displayed a negative, unfriendly attitude; she didn't even serve us a complimentary basket of chips and salsa. We asked her for more salsa and chips, and at the end of the meal--when I paid the bill--I discovered that we had been charged for every extra bit of salsa and every extra basket of chips she had brought us. We had to pay $4 for the chips and $1.50 for just two ounces of salsa served in tiny little cups. The food was mediocre--it wasn't particularly good--but this restaurant definitely charges for absolutely everything: every dollop of salsa they give you, and every basket of chips. If you ask for sour cream on the side, they charge you for that, too. I'm fine with being charged for most extras, but charging for chips and salsa is unacceptable; in all my life, I have never been to a restaurant that charges for those things. For two burritos and an order of shrimp enchiladas, I ended up paying nearly $90. I do not recommend going there unless you want to end up frustrated and annoyed. It is a place I would never recommend to anyone.
