Stopped by here because it was next to UCSF Medical. Pretty small and cute place. It has a couple of tables, but they do get pretty busy around lunch time with all the medical folks walking over. Parking in the area is mainly street parking, unless you happen to be at the UCSF garage. Eats: Chicken Shawarma wrap: Grabbed this with both the spicy chile spread and the garlic sauce. It already comes with hummus, lettuce and pickles. This thing is FAT. I don't know how I finished it, but I did and I was super full. The chicken is cooked fresh and it was made to order. It had tons of flavor and was piping hot. The garlic sauce and veggies provided a nice cooling contrast that brought the dish together. Overall, I think this place is absolutely great. I can't say enough great things about this Cafe. We were in the area on business and asked a local "where is a good place for lunch?" So we went there. Arriving before the lunch rush, our orders of lamb shawarma was quickly taken with a smile. Seconds after the lunch rush hit. While waiting for our meal I watched the team behind the counter quickly dispatch many appetizing looking lunches. The lady behind the register who took my order noticed me still standing there a few minutes later. She quickly went down the line of her workers to find out the issue. There was a slight mix-up, and quickly served, with many apologies. She threw in a couple yummy treats because we had to wait. A few weeks later we were back in the area and had to stop back by for lunch. As soon as we walked in the door she recognized us and greeted us with the usual warm smile and positive attitude. I came here on a Tuesday around 12pm and it wasn't too busy! I called and ordered 30 minutes before I could pick up and it was ready by then. I got the falafel wrap and it was very long and tasty! The lavash bread was freshly toasted, so it was soft and crunchy on the toasted sides. Inside the wrap there were ample amounts of falafel, and it tasted so good with the veggies, pickles, and sauce!
