Great ramen and short wait! I got the vegetarian miso ramen and it was delicious. It's a hearty portion size and the broth was lovely. They also have free packs of handmade noodles by the ordering kiosk that you can take home. A very cute restaurant I'd recommend if you're walking around in the Fremont/Wallingford area.

Ooink -- Precision Ramen and a Fried Chicken Surprise Worth Returning For Rating: (4/5) Ooink proves that sometimes the most memorable dishes at a ramen shop aren't limited to the bowl. While I came for noodles, I left equally impressed by their fried chicken -- a rare highlight in a ramen-focused kitchen. This visit earns a strong 4 out of 5 stars for quality, execution, and value. Ambiance - 4/5 Ooink maintains a modern, casual ramen-house aesthetic -- intimate, energetic, and focused on the food. It feels like a place built around craft rather than flash. The atmosphere is comfortable enough to settle into a proper bowl of ramen without distraction. Authenticity - 4.5/5 What stood out immediately was their commitment to in-house noodle production. The fact that you can purchase fresh noodles to-go for just a dollar signals something important: these are made daily, not outsourced or pre-packaged. That dedication to noodle integrity reflects a respect for traditional ramen craftsmanship. Flavor - 5/5 The fried chicken was unexpectedly exceptional. Three large pieces for $13 -- generous, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Crisp exterior, tender interior, and well-balanced flavor. Easily one of the better karaage-style chickens I've had at a ramen establishment. The ramen itself delivered on texture -- which, as any true ramen enthusiast knows, is everything. I requested firm, thin noodles, and once the message was properly communicated (with the help of Google Translate due to a minor language barrier), they nailed it. The noodles were springy, resilient, and held up beautifully in the broth -- no sogginess, no compromise. Service - 4.5/5 There was a slight communication barrier initially, but the staff made a genuine effort to accommodate my preferences once clarified. That willingness to adjust and ensure satisfaction speaks positively about their hospitality. Cost - 5/5 For the portion size and quality, especially the fried chicken at $13 for three substantial pieces, the value is outstanding. Add in the fresh noodle program, and you're getting craftsmanship without a premium price tag. Final Thoughts Ooink is a ramen shop that respects fundamentals -- noodle texture, broth balance, and proper execution. Add to that a standout fried chicken offering, and you have a place that exceeds expectations. I'll absolutely be returning, not just for the ramen, but for that karaage alone.

**vegetarian review** This place does no tips and it's a simple menu and process to order which I appreciate. The vegetarian ramen however was average- nothing out of the ordinary or mind blowing. Not bad but somehow didn't feel worth the calories. The cucumber salad was so pretty and so nice!

Ooink is easy my favorite ramen spot in Seattle. I ordered the shio ramen this time and it was a really solid bowl overall. The broth leans rich and creamy with a tonkotsu-style depth that I really enjoyed -- savory, well-balanced, and satisfying without being overwhelming. The ramen texture was spot on: springy with a good bite, holding up nicely in the broth. The toppings were thoughtfully portioned. The chashu was tender and flavorful, the egg was cooked just right with a custardy yolk, and everything felt intentional rather than excessive. Nothing was there just to fill space. Service was also a pleasant surprise -- attentive and efficient, especially for an establishment that doesn't push tipping on their POS. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. Not quite a mind-blowing, must-have bowl, but definitely one I'd come back for. A strong 4-star ramen spot in Seattle.

One of my favorite ramen spots in Seattle! I would recommend the mala ramen at 3 stars for the perfect amount of spice and numbing (though disclaimer, I do have a high spice tolerance). The restaurant is no frills, you order on the tablet and bus your own table. There's street parking only, but usually I'm able to find a spot, though I may need to circle around a couple times. Will definitely be coming back!

Worth Traveling from San Diego for This Late-Night, Dinner-Only Ramen Spot! I literally came all the way from San Diego, California to Seattle just to eat ramen at Oinl Ramen, and it was 100% worth it. Just a heads-up--this place is open for dinner only and stays open late until 11:00 PM, which is perfect after a long day or a late flight. This was my first time here, and everything exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Mala Ramen (level 2 spicy ) and it was absolutely perfect--rich, flavorful, and with just the right amount of heat. I also tried the fried chicken (Ayam Bakar), which was incredibly delicious--perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The cucumber salad was refreshing and balanced the meal beautifully. Every single dish was amazing. The service made the experience even better. Joel provided outstanding service--super friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which really elevated the whole atmosphere. The chef ‍ was also very friendly and welcoming when we walked in, making us feel right at home. If you're ever in Seattle and love ramen, this place is an absolute must-visit. I also found out they have two locations, so definitely check them out. Huge thanks to my brother for introducing me to this gem--now I already can't wait to come back for ramen again the next time I'm in Seattle

We were looking for something warm and comforting on a rainy, cold Saturday evening after attending a concert and decided to try Ooink Ramen in the Wallingford/Fremont area, as it came highly recommended on Eater Seattle. We were not disappointed. We started with two appetizers: Spicy Cucumber and Spicy Ayam Goreng. The Spicy Cucumber was refreshing, with a sesame paste-forward sauce that added a nice touch. The presentation was 5 stars, complete with edible flowers. The Spicy Ayam Goreng (Malaysian spiced chicken), showcasing the owner's Malaysian roots, was a standout. The chicken had a perfect coating of flavorful spices and was fried to perfection--soft and moist on the inside, crispy on the outside. We also ordered two ramens: Mala Kotteri Ramen and Spicy Vegetarian Miso Ramen. The ramens weren't as hot as I would have expected. The vegetarian option was just okay, but the Mala Kotteri was the perfect accompaniment to the Spicy Ayam Goreng and really helped warm us up. It was all self-service, with ordering and paying at the kiosk, taking a number to the next open table, and bussing your own tables. So, the service was minimal but efficient. The ambiance was good, but there's only a single toilet that gets pretty busy. Overall, I'd rate it 5 stars for food, 3 stars for service, and 4 stars for ambiance. Finding parking in the Fremont/Wallingford area is tough, which did dampen the experience a bit.

I recently visited Ooink Ramen in Fremont with the fam. It was a cold Saturday evening around 5:30 pm. I read in Eater Seattle that this is one of the top 9 Ramen places in Seattle. Here is my experience: Parking: Absolute nightmare trying to find street parking. Found a spot far away after 20 min. Not a positive start to my evening but the walk in the cold revved up my appetite for some hot food. We were greeted warmly and asked to put our name on a waitlist. Short wait for a table of 3. Once a table became available, I had us order and pay at the kiosk. Everything is pretty much self serve. We ordered 4 dishes, 2 apps and 2 mains: - The cucumber salad appetizer was a refreshing start, nicely presented and sesame paste forward. Looked nothing like the pic on their website with edible flowers which was kind of deceiving. - Absolutely worth is the spicy ayam goreng appetizer. It stole the show--bold, flavorful chicken cooked to perfection. Crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. I experienced tears of joy which says a lot about the spiciness and heat! - The Mala Kotteri Ramen was another standout with its rich, spicy broth and well-balanced flavors. The black garlic oil really comes through. We ordered a heat level 3 of 4 that hit the spot. The Szechuan peppercorns were all business and the char siu was the comforter. - Unfortunately, the Spicy vegetarian miso ramen didn't hit the mark for my kiddo--it was underwhelming due to its miso based broth as compared to Hokkaido. The service was minimal but good enough. No one came asking how your food was which was kind of disappointing. The facilities were clean though just one restroom. A quick tip: This place does get crowded, so go after 6:30 pm. We did see a few open tables as we were leaving. Besides my challenging parking experience, my other issue was how lukewarm both ramens were. While the quality of food was great, I felt the prices were a bit steep plus the volume of the "real" ingredients in the ramen were subject to shrinkflation. If you're in Fremont and looking for a vibrant ramen spot, I would still say it's worth a visit, especially for that bad ass chicken appetizer.

My partner and I went here for date night because we were craving something warm. I had heard great things about this ramen place from everyone, so we decided to give it a try. We ended up ordering the Ma La and Shoyu ramen. The service was good--you pay at the counter, and they bring the dishes to your table. It's a self-service restaurant, so you get your own water at the counter and bus your own table. The dishes looked and smelled amazing, but the broth was really bland for our taste. I felt like I was drinking an unseasoned broth. I wanted something to salty the broth a bit more but there wasn't anything. Despite that the meat was very char and delicious. There was an egg which was surprising to me, since most places charges extra for. Overall, if you're in the area give it a try and let me know if the broth changed :) Recommendation to owner: I've seen comments mentioning that the broth used to be too salty and is now bland. Maybe consider adding a bit more salt or providing seasoning on the side for customers who prefer a saltier broth.

If you are ever craving ramen, go to Ooink! I am more of a pho or hot pot person, but this ramen I will be coming back for. So flavorful and delicious. I love that they make the noodles fresh, it makes all the difference in the broth! We got: - Ooi Giao - Mata Kuching Negroni - Spicy Ayam Goreng - Mala Kotteri Ramen - Shoyu Ramen I like this location over the Cap Hill one because it is larger and feels more like a restaurant.

Pros: flavorful and yummy food Cons: too flavorful to the point that I'm afraid to consider the level of oil and sodium that goes into the food. I suspect that is not necessarily good for your health. Slightly pricy.

Really good ramen. I like this place a lot and always come back with pleasure. The flavors are rich, the broth is comforting, and the quality is consistently great. Definitely one of my go-to spots near home.

Nut allergy friendly: Ramen I had was fine. Order-to-Ramen: 6 Minutes For some reason, this location wasn't as good as the one in Capitol Hill despite my friend's insistence. He said we went on an off-day. The shio Ramen tasted simultaneously too oily and watery. Portions were still great and service was fast. Maybe it's just because we went on a holiday. It's still overall pretty good.
