Drove three hours down I-71 to meet the niece (who was coming from Chicago-via Hawaii) and she was running late. Looked this place up before we headed down. Always looking for Hawaiian food-because they don't seem to have any in Northeast Ohio area. Ordered the Pulled pork (Kalua pig) plate and the Shoyu chicken plate-both came with rice and salad (Mac for the wife, I tried the potato) Huge portions and got some lumpia (egg rolls) and the owner operator threw in a desert (poi cheesecake). Very friendly and clean. Tried the spam musubi, chicken platter, beef platter, pork platter, and lumpia. Make sure you order enough musubi if you want to try it or your kids will eat it all. It was that good. The chicken was tender and full of flavor(my favorite). Beef and pork were tasty as well. I can't say much for the lumpia since my daughter gobbled them up. Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday after seeing a couple videos recommending it on TikTok. The inside of the restaurant is adorable and everything we ate was comforting and delicious. From the pineapple tea to the pork and musubi, it was win after win. I was truly extremely excited to try this place today and was I so disappointed! This was my first time at this spot and I did not know what to get here . There was only one person working and she was also doing a tasting for a wedding, but at the time I did not know that . The lady was handing out samples ( I am thinking to myself great I get to taste a bit before I buy ..cool) . When I asked oh your giving out samples and I was told no they are here for a possible wedding . Ok I get that but the two people are tasting and myself you would have thought you know what this lady is watching all this let's do some Great customer service.Nope that did not happen at all. She is answering the phone dealing with them and I felt like I was very insignificant. I paid 20.45 for a meal when I got home was horrible. The steak tasted very old and rancid . The mac salad was very , very mushy and no flavor. The chicken was swimming in some sauce it was just an awful experience all around . I ended up throwing all the food away. Take my advice don't go to a place where there are no customers in the building . This was one of the worse restaurant experiences I have had in along time. With money getting hard to come up with and working overtime all the time, the last thing I wanted to do was waste my hard earned money. read more

This place is super delicious and reminded me of the food during my stay on the Big Island! I ordered the plate with the shredded pork and Mac salad and it was phenomenal. Portion sizes are great for the price. The pineapple tea was also very tasty; just enough sweetness. Nice to have an authentic family run restaurant. The food was amazing, got the pulled pork and beef sticks. My daughter fell in love with the beef sticks. Also got the chicken long rice. Broke da mouth!! No matter what you got it's all ono! Got the guava cake. If you never had it, you need to go try it. I had to go get another because my daughter would not let me have a bite. Ever since we went to Maui 3 years ago, we have dreaming of the "mixed plate". It is not often you find Hawaiian restaurants in the continental US let alone Cincinnati. We ordered the mixed plate of chicken and pork, served with Mac salad and rice, just like I remembered in Maui! The pork and chicken were both juicy and delicious.
