I want to start off by saying that this Korean restaurant is not for everyone. It is clearly small operation with the chef also working as the owner, waiter, etc. The biggest quirk that may be off-putting to some people is how the owner / chef is very involved in your experience. If you are not expecting it, it can be a shock for sure. He would frequently check in on us and make small talk, give us recommendations on the menu, how to order, even so far as to grab our stone bowls after they were served to stir them. For me, it was overbearing and I was not a fan of someone touching utensils after we were served without asking but I ended up still giving 5 stars because he meant well. Right after he continued bringing dumplings and serving them to us just to be nice! No additional charge, and he would've continued making them unless we refused after bringing 2 whole orders. When he learned it was our friends birthday he brought out moonpies and a bag of some korean snack just for her, even though they dont have dessert on the menu. Even as you walk in, you'll notice from the decore that is very much a small business. You have a button to press to notify the owner you're there, get drinks, and a QR code to order. That being said the service is very timely, high quality fresh food comes out super hot, and he was very nice. Be aware of the social experience because that is a big part of the restaurant. Can be a positive or negative depending on your what you like.

Cute quaint, authentic with phenomenal food. The owner has to be the nicest guy! You can taste their passion poured into their food. We had the crispy dumplings, kimchee, stone bowl(must get) and the ramen. Probably one of the most underrated places in Cincinnati for a casual experience.

10/10 food and service! Definitely hole-in-the-wall, chill vibes. Chef runs the whole operation and was so kind! He checked up on us every step of the way and gave us extra dumplings for free! The dumplings are vegan and probably the best dumplings I've ever had. I had the chicken ramen which was good and spicy. My husband got the beef stone bowl which was AMAZING. Would come back and get stone bowls over and over again. Please bring your friends and family to support this local business!

Running errands around the city and ended up on a side of town we don't frequent much at all and had to pivot our movie night dinner options. When you're plant based/vegan it can be extremely difficult to do on the fly specially in Cincy - but Lo and behold we stumbled on Stone Bowl after seeing the great reviews and vegan options. This good man did not disappoint at all! The chef was also our server (though we ordered take out) gave us the run down on how everything work and if he we had questions to hit the button and head come answering! We ordered the appetizer dumplings, the dumpling stone bowl and the dumpling udon noodles (clearly we love dumplings lol) and everything BANGED!! Definitely will be back to actually dine in very soon!

The service was out of this world. He was the sweetest guy that has ever provided me with food and a smile. The food was good, but the service made the experience for me. It was quiet and quaint, and it felt like I could be part of his family.

Very cute establishment with a very nice owner. A friend and I came here on a Thursday night and we were a bit baffled on how empty it was, but nonetheless we continued on. The menu isn't big and unfortunately they aren't serving sushi at the moment, but what we both ordered was good. I ordered the beef spicy ramen and it has really good flavors. The poached egg was cooked perfectly and the beef was tender. The owner came out and asked if I wanted more vegetables - I said sure and he gave me a lot lol. My friend ordered the beef stone bowl and she was delighted by the taste. He also came out and gave up complimentary vegan gyoza (which were tasty) and a bowl of sauteed mushrooms which were REALLY good. I'm a huge fan of supporting the mom and pop shops around here, so please do some here, support, and enjoy some really good Korean food!

A hidden gem everyone should know about! Delicious & authentic dumplings, ramen and stone rice bowl. The best I've I'm so amazed by this one-man operation -- the chef does everything. Everything was delicious, he was kind and courteous, and I could tell the others dining there were regulars. Can't wait to come back

The tonkatsu ramen was perfect for a cold winter day. It was perfectly seasoned and the portion fit the price. The broth was rich yet not too heavy. My favorite was the soy marinated egg. I would definitely come back to try other ramens.

This place was far above what I was expecting. I was seated immediately and there were a few tables in there, nothing too crazy though. The server gave me a menu and water right away and let me figure out what I wanted. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen and added an extra egg to it, I love the soft boiled eggs in any ramen, and a spice level of 1. After ordering my food came within ten minutes. It was astonishingly fast. It came out hot and looked so good. The eggs were perfectly soft boiled, the pork was tender, the broth was flavorful and the perfect level of spice. The noodles were super good and all together it was a great bowl. The portion sizes were huge so I took the rest home for leftovers. My server checked on me often and was very attentive. She offered dessert but I was way too full. The service was super fast, I was probably in there for just over 40 minutes in total. I didn't feel rushed a t all, and overall it was a great place I will definitely be going to again.

All seats at the bar were open, but we hoped to sit at a regular (not high-top) table. As it turned out there were a few options in the back. That said, it wasn't long before the place was packed. Our server Tyra was fantastic. Down to earth and helpful with recommendations. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. We started with Jumbo Ebi Shumai. Tyra asked if we wanted a fourth (the dish comes with three) so we wouldn't have to rock-paper-scissors for the third dumpling. I thought they were delicious. I loved the spicy mustard that came with them. I admit they had a slight fishy flavor. I mean it was shrimp and I enjoyed it. Mark is less of a fish fan in general. The dumplings didn't really hit the mark for him. If you like seafood and you like shrimp you should enjoy the Shumai. I opted for Tonkatsu Ramen - Ramen and thick creamy pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, ginger and green onion. I added black garlic oil and did not go spicy at all. I thought it was very good and I ate literally every drop. Mark had Spicy Miso Ramen - Ramen and spicy creamy soybean paste pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, and green onion. He said it was spicy, which was perfect for him. He also enjoyed his meal and finished every drop. We still had time to kill before the show so we opted for dessert. There were two options - Green Tea or Red Bean Ice Creams. Tyra recommended Red Bean and I'm glad she did. It was sweet with just the slightest crunch from the beans. It was a good size serving, hand dipped by Tyra. The proximity of Zundo to Memorial Hall or Music Hall makes it the perfect pre-show stop for dinner. We will definitely be back.
