Very good food here. The ramen, rice dishes and appetizers are fantastic. Some of the what Rangoons we've ever had

We had lunch at Rokaru Ramen Wednesday around Noon. When we walked in we were the only customers. It took just a few minutes to realize we needed to go up to the counter to order. I ordered Tonkotsu and Mark had Miso Ramen. By the time we had our food, a few additional patrons stopped in as well as someone picking up carry out. Our ramen was delivered quickly. We both noticed the temperature of the ramen was lukewarm. Maybe a bit warmer, but definitely was not piping hot. We have not eaten at a ton of ramen restaurants in Cincinnati, but we had our fair share when we lived in California. I have to admit I've never seen ramen broth as white as the Tonkotsu. It caught me off guard. That said, it was pretty good. I would have given my meal 3 to 3.5 stars. Mark enjoyed the Miso Ramen very much. This is why I went with a four stars review overall. Staff were super nice. The place was clean. The bathroom was not super nice. It had a slight gas station bathroom vibe going on. The menu is pretty big. I hesitated to get appetizers because I knew the ramen would fill me up. For us, perhaps the best thing Rokaru Ramen has going for it is how close it is to us. I think we'll try it again sometime. read more

We tried this Ramen place for the first time today the atmosphere and the restaurant itself is clean and very nice staff. I love spicy Ramen. I got the spiciest Ramen that they had. It was very very spicy so if you can handle spice get the spicy if not I suggest level two spice level ! the noodles the broth and the vegetables are very good but for the price that you pay, you had only maybe three pieces of protein and that's not worth it. I'm disappointed in how much meat I got for how much I paid for it but other than that by not getting a lot of meat everything else was good. read more

Lunch here today with friends. Another really good meal. Chicken wings plus ramen all around. Dishes were yummy (like the ramen bowls) and we arrived quickly. My family is originally born and raised in San Francisco, California and this place is delicious, and for it being on the Westside of Cincinnati it has flavor. The melon milk tea wity lychee popping Boba is very refreshing. My husband ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen with extra chili oil and it was very flavorful. I ordered Katsu Dom which was a bit bland for my taste it usually has a sweet flavor for my past experiences it still had potential. The place is small but very welcoming and clean. read more

I loved the Blue Ash location and this is slightly different. Smaller and you order at the counter. This place is closer and I was by this location and saw it was finally open so I stopped by to try it out. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and the meat gyoza. The restaurant is small so you are sitting by the area they cook. The broth was good and the ingredients were fresh. I don't know if they make the broth there or at the bigger restaurant. The gyoza were hot and they came with a small container for the dipping sauce which helped eating. I will go back to try other thins and I saw on their menu some combo meals. read more

I come here all the time now, some of the best ramen Cincinnati has to offer at reasonable prices. I typically go with a spicy miso ramen and will sometimes get the ragoons(to die for) . Good ramen at a good price. It's not upscale or gourmet, but it is, importantly, tasty. Deserving of five stars because I cannot think of anything I was dissatisfied by. Everything landed right in the good range, at prices I couldn't disagree with. It's interior is cute and chic, emphasizing multiple textures and tied together by a light wood. We weren't even supposed to be here. After driving for an hour to another nearby restaurant, we discovered that not only did they not accept reservations, but there were 45 parties ahead of us. And so, that's how we flipped a coin between two alternatives and wound up here. Our party of three each ordered a ramen bowl at the counter - shoyu, shio, and chicken - and an order of the house fried rice to share. Our ramen cost $15 a bowl, which seems average these days, and it arrived shortly after we were seated. For the price, the quantity and quality of the food we received was exceptional. From the proper ramen eggs to the bouncy noodles to the abundance of high quality toppings to the rich and silky broth, each bowl was as perfect as it was unique. As an added bonus, the shrimp in the house fried rice was both cleaned and cooked well. There was an overabundance of good food left over for a second meal which reheated nicely. Absolutely worth trying and returning to, whether intentional or not. Order an extra ramen egg - best I've ever had. read more

It's a cute place with many uniquely Japanese furnishings like gacha machines and anime figures. It reminds me of a little ramen shop in Tokyo. The menu had six types of ramen to choose from and you are able to customize. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the ramen I wanted was not available so I ordered the shoyu (soy) ramen and takoyaki. The takoyaki was very crispy and piping hot. The signature takoyaki sauce drizzled over top was delicious. It could use more octopus bits and usually takoyaki is served with Japanese mayo. The soup of the ramen was flavorful and not overly salty. The chashu (pork slice) was acceptably tender and the noodles were springy. The portions were nicely sized and not too big. Service was decent. The food came out quite quickly, however the boba tea I ordered was still missing. Waiters never came to check on us or anything like that, and we had to call someone over in order to receive my drink. Weirdly enough, there was a typo on the menu. Diet Coke was spelled "Deit Coke." Overall, this restaurant had delicious food and a unique "modern Japan" feeling that many restaurants don't have. I would recommend if you happened to be in the area at the time, but no need to drive all the way out. read more

I slurped my way through the delicious tonkatsu ramen. The panko fried chicken had a great sauce drizzled on it. Both were very hot-- the people who work there brought the food out post haste. I am so happy to have this amazing ramen place on the west side. The key to good ramen is flavorful broth, and theirs more than delivers. It is SO delicious!! I love choosing the make your own option and especially love the tonkotsu, black garlic oil, shoyu tare, fried tofu, wood ear mushroom and extra broth. This is the perfect option especially as we move into cooler weather. The service is fantastic, the food is always ready quickly and packaged perfectly. Its such a fantastic affordable meal.
