    Veggie Fried Rice

If you're on the hunt for the kind of ramen that leaves a lasting impression, look no further than Rokaru Ramen. Tucked away on the West Side, this gem effortlessly blends a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with a culinary experience that rivals some of the best in the city. The space is thoughtfully designed--charming yet simple, it gives off just the right vibe for a laid-back yet elevated dining experience. Let's talk about the food. I started with the Tonkotsu Ramen, and wow. This bowl is a masterpiece. The broth is incredibly rich, silky, and bursting with flavor--without being overwhelming. It's deep, complex, and every slurp transports you to ramen heaven. The noodles, perfectly cooked, glide through the rich broth like they were made to be there. Honestly, this could be one of the best ramen bowls in the entire city, and without a doubt, the top contender on the West Side. It's that good. The Vegetable Fried Rice? Also exceptional. Light and perfectly seasoned, it hits that sweet spot where it's neither greasy nor over-seasoned with MSG like you find in so many places. It's the kind of fried rice that's just comforting enough to make you want more, without feeling weighed down after. Each grain is coated just enough to make it a savory delight. A true standout, it's the perfect side to any ramen dish. And if you're craving something to start your meal, their Edamame and Spring Rolls are excellent choices. The edamame is crisp, with just the right amount of salt, and the spring rolls? Light and crunchy, with fresh ingredients that taste like they've just been made to order. For anyone in search of authentic, wholesome, and genuinely good ramen, Rokaru Ramen is not to be missed. It's one of those rare spots that manages to deliver a meal that's both comforting and elevated. Every dish on the menu speaks of quality, attention to detail, and a deep respect for authentic flavors. As someone from Cincinnati (a place that knows food like no other), I've eaten my way through the best of what the city has to offer, and Rokaru Ramen stands up to that high bar. Cincinnati's diverse food scene is its claim to fame, and this place feels like it belongs in any big city--whether it's New York or Chicago. If you're on the West Side and craving ramen, this is the spot that'll make you feel right at home with a bowl that's as comforting as it is exceptional. This is the kind of place you'll keep coming back to, time and time again. Truly a gem you shouldn't miss.

This was amazing! First time in. Everything was very flavorful and tasty. We got the chicken fried rice, tonkotsu ramen, chicken ramen, and crab rangoon. I'm still sitting at the restaurant wondering why they aren't more busy. Very clean, friendly service, good food, and the food came out so fast!!! We also got the melon milk tea and passion fruit tea. YUM. I will absolutely be back!!

I loved the Blue Ash location and this is slightly different. Smaller and you order at the counter. This place is closer and I was by this location and saw it was finally open so I stopped by to try it out. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and the meat gyoza. The restaurant is small so you are sitting by the area they cook. The broth was good and the ingredients were fresh. I don't know if they make the broth there or at the bigger restaurant. The gyoza were hot and they came with a small container for the dipping sauce which helped eating. I will go back to try other thins and I saw on their menu some combo meals.

I come here all the time now, some of the best ramen Cincinnati has to offer at reasonable prices. I typically go with a spicy miso ramen and will sometimes get the ragoons(to die for) . The service is always amazing and I leave with a full belly and happy tastebuds. I'd definitely recommended this to anyone looking for a new comfort spot

We came here for first time and it was great service and amazing foods ! I really liked my takoyaki and Tonkotsu ramen. Also, I liked Japanese music and traffic information that they were playing. lol

I had a GREAT time here lunching with my BFF. The portion sizes were large enough that we were able to share our ramen bowl (out of financial necessity this time around) but we were both satisfied. Great food, service and a casual place to eat!

All seats at the bar were open, but we hoped to sit at a regular (not high-top) table. As it turned out there were a few options in the back. That said, it wasn't long before the place was packed. Our server Tyra was fantastic. Down to earth and helpful with recommendations. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. We started with Jumbo Ebi Shumai. Tyra asked if we wanted a fourth (the dish comes with three) so we wouldn't have to rock-paper-scissors for the third dumpling. I thought they were delicious. I loved the spicy mustard that came with them. I admit they had a slight fishy flavor. I mean it was shrimp and I enjoyed it. Mark is less of a fish fan in general. The dumplings didn't really hit the mark for him. If you like seafood and you like shrimp you should enjoy the Shumai. I opted for Tonkatsu Ramen - Ramen and thick creamy pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, ginger and green onion. I added black garlic oil and did not go spicy at all. I thought it was very good and I ate literally every drop. Mark had Spicy Miso Ramen - Ramen and spicy creamy soybean paste pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, and green onion. He said it was spicy, which was perfect for him. He also enjoyed his meal and finished every drop. We still had time to kill before the show so we opted for dessert. There were two options - Green Tea or Red Bean Ice Creams. Tyra recommended Red Bean and I'm glad she did. It was sweet with just the slightest crunch from the beans. It was a good size serving, hand dipped by Tyra. The proximity of Zundo to Memorial Hall or Music Hall makes it the perfect pre-show stop for dinner. We will definitely be back.
