I researched where to go to get my batteries replaced here in Bay Ridge and found nice reviews for Global. I brought two watches to start with to ensure good battery replacement. I met with Elad who quickly repaired the batteries at reasonable cost. Additionally, I returned to sell some gold pieces that didn't fit and some I just don't wear and again was given great prices for selling. Global also sells jewelry such as some Tiffany pieces and other lovely gems. It's nice to know that there is a trusted local jeweler who can assist me with repairs, selling, etc. Elad is very professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend Global Gold and Silver.

That meant so much to me. I had to get it done so I remembered Malsons Jewelers. They're located across the street from Planet fitness on 86th. I believe in God, so I truly feel it was God who brought Malsons to my attention. 4 days before Christmas 2023 I bring in my wife's ring to be repaired. When I walked into Malsons there was love. Instead of things going from bad to worse, everything felt as if there was a world of healing. The care and attention to my needs was IMPORTANT in their hearts. This is unheard of in these days. Not only were they able to meet the need of having my wife's wedding ring for Christmas, they found the perfect match for that beautiful ring. It was serendipitous. I purchased a beautiful set of diamond ear rings for my princess. And, because my wife's birthday is in February, I managed to get a very generous deal on the matching diamond necklace. These days are rough. There's practically zero love, or care in the business world, but this was special. I found a God send in Malsons jewelers. The staff were all so kind, going above and beyond for this perfect stranger. Caring enough to expedite a repair at a very busy time of year and getting it done. I highly recommend Malsons Jewelers for your love needs. The store never reached out to me (their policy) after a lengthy period of silence; goods left for over 60 days automatically become theirs. 2. After a month of waiting, I took initiative to check on the watch. It was ready, but upon pickup, I wasn't given any explanation of what was wrong, only that the store "doesn't do" the kind of servicing I was asking for. The manager claims he wrote the problem on an envelope. I have no recollection of ever getting an envelope, & searched everywhere in my apartment to see if I misremembered. There was no envelope. 3. I later returned to the store, watch in hand, to ask what the issue was, so I could better seek help & not need to start from the beginning. The store manager disrespectfully refused to look again at the item, & even more disrespectfully, couldn't bother to stand up & walk over to me, saying that he was "too busy" & "already told me" as his reasoning. Standing up, walking over, & looking at the watch would have taken him a minute to do at most. 4. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this was, so I began to argue back. I told him I never received an envelope. The store manager replied he wrote down the issue with the watch on my ticket upon pickup, & I should find & look at that to understand what was wrong. I am uploading a picture of the ticket--it's clear the only thing added was the pickup date. While all this indicates poor service, perhaps even laziness or rudeness, it doesn't capture the disrespect & hostility I faced at every step after the initial drop off, which is ultimately what brings me to write this review. Respectful service isn't trying to gaslight consumers about an envelope you never gave them. It isn't refusing to answer a customer's question because you claimed to answer it before. Respectful service certainly isn't blaming the customer. And respectful service certainly isn't refusing to leave your workbench & walk over to the customer to see what they have. Worst of all, I later learned the underlying issue would have been immediately apparent to someone who works with watches & wouldn't require much expertise or knowledge of watches. Sometimes, jewellery can become a confidence game in order to justify high prices. I'd trust others with your items.
