I explained my situation, and without a word, the watchmaker took my watch and replaced the battery in five minutes as I waited. It cost $30, which isn't cheap but fair for professional service on a nice watch. He noticed that my gasket was busted and warned me to be careful with water, and he's doing the research to source a replacement part and will text me when it's ready. Receipt said $95 for a watch and he tried saying the $95 was for $20 (2x's) "watch cleaning" and then $35 for 3rd watch because it was a "HIGH END" as he said (he thought it was a Fendi and it was a Tiffany's ) and add $15 EXTRA for it being as he called it a "high end" watch and to TOP it all off his math was wrong because if you add $20+$20+$35=$75.00 so receipt was for $95 which had written for the Wooden Watch he was selling yet wants to tell me to get a LAWYER smh !!! I made the hour or so drive out to their Brooklyn store for the first time a couple months ago when I was in town - only to find out that it was closed. I emailed them asking to set up an appointment because maybe I thought it was by appointment only. By the time they responded to my email (which was a week later) I was out of town again which was unfortunate. Now, fast forward six months to the present day. I am in town for a couple of days. I email them again asking to set up an appointment. No response. I check online again and call their listed phone number and get an automated response system which lists the store hours and it should be open. I even attempted to reach their store representative several times to no avail. I drive all the way out there and it's closed again! Look, if you're going to have your store hours posted online along with a automated response system confirming those same hours, you better be open. Hopefully no one else makes the same mistake as me. Don't bother trying to visit the store - it's a total waste of time and expensive gas.

I reached out to Element in Time as a customer from out of state, and they offered the BEST price shipped. I contacted them about the piece and was told that though it is not physically in stock, they would be able to source the watch and to give them a few days. For the price I was quoted, I was more than willing to wait. Personally, I'm a customer that has no problem missing out on the in-person "AD" or boutique experience, especially if it could save me some money. In a day I was sent a message, letting me know that they were able to source the watch, and I just had to be patient while they received the watch to inspect and forward on to me. My new Aqua Terra is on my wrist a week later and I can't say enough good about Element in Time.
