As a rice lover I was really excited to try out Onigilly in Valley Fair Mall for the first time! Nothing to say about the ambiance, this is a stand alone food kiosk, located near GAP Store and Marugame Udon. Good location, they have great traffic and it was pretty busy when I came to check them out. They offers variety of onigiri fillings from classic likes spam, teriyaki chicken to premium and deluxe likes salmon and snow crab. I ordered the Onigilly Miso Set (pick 2 Onigiri and a side of Miso Soup), my choice was Unagi and Spam. I waited for about 5-7 minutes for my order, staffs were quick and efficient during my visit. The food was packed neatly in a rectangle to-go container. I really like the miso soup, it have a great amount of seaweed and fresh soft tofu cube, but they can definitely go heavier on the miso paste, broth was quite bland. Onigiri's flavor wise, my unagi was bland, wish they added some unagi sauce on top of it, but on the other hand, the spam itself was really flavorful. I do prefer the rice to be softer, but the outer layer of seaweed have a great crunchy texture. Overall, I think Onigilly is alright, it was a convenient small meal/snack for me. I could see myself holding an Onigiri and enjoy it while going around a mall.

This is a nice standalone kiosk in valleyfair that offers a variety of onigiri. My favorite part is their rewards system! Taste: I like their simpler onigiri! The ones with plum can be a little salty for my taste. Service: You order through a screen and then make your order immediately. Very nice too :) Parking: This is located in valleyfair by ramen nagi. Parking is free for the first two hours.

Been here many times. I've ordered both at the kiosk and online, and online is definitely easy--you can walk around the mall and they'll just text you when it's ready, which is super convenient. I always get the spam onigiri. I know it's basic, but I love spam and honestly you can't really mess it up. Other favorites are the unagi, baked salmon, and tempura shrimp--all consistently good and flavorful. The only one I didn't love was the snow crab. It was a bit too mayo-heavy for my taste and kind of overpowered everything else. That said, I'd definitely keep coming back. Easy, quick, and reliable spot for a satisfying bite while shopping.

Great spot for a quick, inexpensive snack! No spots to sit associated to the booth but the mall has plenty of tables in walking distance

Four stars for the quality and taste of their food. It was easy to order through one of two kiosks on the side of Onigily - which is a smallish food vendor at the Westfield Valley Fair Mall. There were good descriptions of their menu selections including pictures. They mainly feature onigiri: meat/fillings inside rice and wrapped with seaweed. Unfortunately, I chose to try Onigily instead of a sit-down restaurant because many of those restaurants appeared packed with long-lines. Well, it took about 40 min. for my food to be ready for pick-up. There was no way to know this upon ordering. But I did receive a text when it was done. I did enjoy the two onigiri, chicken karaage, and shrimp tempura. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality. But I would only try them again if I absolutely knew I would get my order within 15 minutes.

Bento set with 3 onigilly - spicy bacon, tarako-pollack roe, ponzu salmon poke

Wait was about 5-10 minutes with 2-3 people ahead of us. We ordered the bento set with 3 onigilly at one of the kiosks. The sides were all made well! The 3 pieces of karaage were juicy and the tamago was soft and sweet. The 3 rice balls we chose (spicy bacon, tarako - pollack roe, and ponzu salmon) all had the perfect texture of rice. The amount of filling in each wasn't really consistent - there was a lot in the spicy bacon (and it was pretty spicy) but not much in the ponzu salmon. Overall delicious though!

My husband bought some onigiris when I was at a nearby store. They're packed with filling so the rice wasn't overwhelming. I've had some pretty sad spam masubis recently so this spam onigiri was very satisfying. With the sauce inside it really pulled everything together! I had the spam and unagi onigiris. Both were good but I liked the spam more. My husband had the chicken and tempura shrimp. He said they were good. We didn't end up using the spicy mayo.

Crab 4/5 - it was good but I couldn't really taste the crab. It was overpowered by the sauce and there wasn't much of the crab Spicy roe 3/5 - this was disappointing. Get it at a Japanese market instead because the roe was tiny and you can't even taste much of it. Too much sauce.

I'm not normally a fan of onigiri in general, but our friend wanted to try it so to Onigilly we went! Ordering on a Thursday night around 8pm, it took 20ish minutes to get our order. There was a good amount of people here, so if you're coming and don't have time to wait, I suggest ordering in advance. Overall, the food was pretty decent. It fell apart after taking a single bite so I'm not sure if I was eating it correctly. Soy garlic salmon - 5/5 Spam - 5/5 Eel - 4/5 Spicy bacon - 2/5 It felt a bit expensive but I'd come back again! It's the perfect place to go when you want something light and to try food from multiple places.

Craving Onigiri and found this spot at Westfield mall since I was in the area. It's a big booth in the middle in front of Old Navy. They have meal bento 3 or 4 sets and plenty of sides and drinks but can be pricey compared to being in Japan. Bay Area prices! Select your meal at their two Kiosk stations but you may take time to select. Hopefully, no one gets impatient for those trying to decide what to get. I see many getting to go for their meal. Good selection. Two onigiri was good enough for me. My meal 4 onigiri bento was $22 as I added Kaarage. Adding kaarage chicken with only 3 pieces for $3.50 was not worth it. The onigiri was well filled with your selection of protein and rice was soft and flavorful. My onigiri flavors were good. I liked the spicy ponzu Salmon the best. Tuna and krab salad was good too but a little dry if not eaten right away. It's best to eat it fresh or within a few hours. Next day or reheating is no good. Since this was at the mall, it's hard to find a place to eat. There is no designated table seating for them only. Wish this was closer as this is a good quick meal that will make you full. Really impressed with this spot in the mall! I went around 1pm on a Saturday and my food was ready in 5 minutes. I got the set of 3 (ume, mushroom, and eggplant) and each one was delicious! I actually couldn't even finish all 3 and saved one for later. For an onigiri, the portions are huge and come with a side too (either edamame or seaweed salad) As for ambiance, the counter itself is a bit small, but service was super quick and the staff were friendly, so it made for an easy, enjoyable meal while on the go. Perfect place if you're hungry or want something filling to share. Definitely going back!

I love coming here whenever I come to valley fair. Their onigiri's are always fresh and warm and just perfect to have a little snack or order three for some lunch. The hardest part is always deciding which one I want to get because they all sound so good, but I have to say my most favorite one is the ponzu salmon poke.

Chicken Karaage - Fried Chicken 4pc Baked Salmon [GF]

Food is amazing, workers are punctual and extremely welcoming and kind. Deserved the tip, was extra kind to my partner and I and provided great service. To the kind soul who served us today, we hope you the best.

I timed it and it took 1 hour 5 mins to get seated. I appreciate their efficient process. They hand out a paper menu and a pen to fill out customizations on ramen preference along with figuring out how many people are per party. We got seated at a shared table. It's a bit crowded in the restaurant since it's so small. I do want them to expand so there's more space. I got the red king with kakuni pork and an egg. I love adding the side of bean sprouts as well. I got level 7 and felt like it wasn't that spicy :o I definitely want to try level 9 next time!

I still remember the first time I had it -- the broth was rich, creamy, and full of depth, and the pork tasted fresh, tender, and flavorful. Now it just feels inconsistent and careless. This bowl looked amazing visually with the spicy red broth and presentation, but the flavor just wasn't there. The soup tasted oily more than rich, and the depth of flavor that made Nagi famous felt missing. Even the pork and toppings didn't hit the same anymore. Maybe the chef changed or quality control got weaker, but it definitely doesn't taste like the Nagi I used to love.

It is straightforward with a good mix of udon, rice dishes, small bites, and drinks, which I really appreciated. The food felt delicate but still had layers of flavor. Nothing was heavy or overdone. The rice was one of my favorite parts. It was crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside, which made it so satisfying. The chicken karaage was also really good. Crispy, tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you order karaage. The only thing I would probably skip next time is the mixed sake drinks. They are fruity and fun, but they tasted like they were made with sugary syrup. So if you do not want a sugar bomb or you are watching sugar calories, I would stay away from those. The inside has a cozy feel that reminded me a little of something you would find in Japan, but with a bit of an American touch. It felt clean, casual, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive without making anything feel rushed. Also we had our son so they brought share plate without us even asking for him. I loved that they considered that. For the amount of food, the quality, and the overall experience, the prices felt well worth it. We will definitely be going back. It is one of those places that feels easy to recommend because the food is good, the menu makes sense, the service is warm, and the whole experience just works. We arrived around 5:50 PM and it wasn't busy but maybe 30 min in it was crowded and by the time we left there was a wait so plan to get there earlier. This was on a Wednesday as well.
