This is an absolute hidden gem! I absolutely love their fresh sashimi and poke bowls. Their deep fried shrimp onigiri rolls are melt in your mouth. I would go here everyday if I could

Chutoro bowl

My favorite spot for Japanese food to-go! Everyone knows about their rice balls, which are always tasty and very filling, but my personal favorite is whenever they have tuna specials. Truly some of the best tuna I've had! So fresh and reasonably priced. I always appreciate the assortment of sushi and bowls on offer, and how they usually carry a few types of fun desserts.

The black pepper karaage, that's all you need to know- DO NOT leave here without it! It can sell out by the afternoon, so come during the lunch hours if you can. Shalala Deli is located inside the "Fugetsu" store/building. In addition to items from Shalala Deli, you can also purchase prepared food items from: Fugestu, Rokko, Shalala Deli, and Doshirak. I believe they also added items from Koja Kitchen, but I don't remember seeing their section when I went. I ended up trying: -Black Pepper Karaage ($5.50): SO GOOD- a must try! They keep this dish under heat lamps at the store so you can eat it right away if you'd like. I didn't eat this until dinner time and re-heated it in the toasted oven, and it was still delicious. The skin/exterior of the chicken was nice and crispy, and I wonder if they use a little mochi in the batter since it had a subtle chewiness. The black pepper flavor was subtle, but the chicken was very flavorful, especially after you added the packet of Kewpie mayo on top. -Short Rib Onigiri ($5): Solid onigiri, and this was actually a giant portion of rice once you flatten it out. The short rib was tender, but not super flavorful. I would rather purchase their salmon ikura onigiri the next time around. I will be back for more of their black pepper karaage! Parking in this complex was fine during the weekday, but it can get very busy/crowded during the weekends.

Stumbled upon this little shop while walking around the plaza. I love love that there's a variety of different options on the different foods you can get. Everything we got was delicious! It was actually really difficult to choose what we wanted to buy. They also have some sushi, chirashit, onigiri, and lots of drinks to choose from. Cute small place - very much a grab and go! The people working there weren't all up in your business but they were very nice when checking out.

I LOVE the concept of a Japanese konbini in the states. I mean, this was what I've been dreaming of forever. However, this place doesn't hit all the notes. The okonomiyaki are dry when being held like that. Rice balls and bentos are decent but way overpriced. Why would I pay that amount for a bento that's been sitting around than a fresh one from a mom and pop Japanese restaurant? Flavors of the salmon shiso rice ball were great but I think clover bakery right next door has authentic rice balls for half the price. Hope this place gets better because I really want a Japanese convenient store like Famima! agaib

This place is a small and it's in the corner plaza near N7 ! They have a wide range of Bentos, Roman, Tehran, salads , Kim bap! Sashimi and different fried foods my favorite one is the cheese pork cutlet!!! I love everything here. It's good to come early in the morning because it's all fresh. There is parking so you can park in the parking lot. I love how they turn this into a deli.

I placed a catering order for my daughter's birthday party. I just had to tell them the budget and everything was sooo delicious!! Both quality and quantity was great and everyone was very satisfied with their food. This place is really reliable and I will definitely repeat for other occasions.

Daily bento with unagi, hamburger steak, potatoes, spinach, and a runny egg. Perfection.

This place is the ANSWER! I've always wondered when we would see a casual hot bento establishment in this area. Japan has been nailing the grab and go scene for decades, and it's by far one of the things I love most about the cuisine. Accessible and delicious are my food values. Sha la la deli has its own section inside of Fugetsu rife with a myriad of delectable options. Stacked onigiri triangles, salt and pepper chicken karate, daily bento special with golden runny yolk... need I say more? Grab an asahi black on the way out and you're set!

Black pepper karaage. So good.

My favorite bar is the bar seating has a foot placement which other places do not. Bathroom was also clean and there were instructions on how to eat dry ramen. Food: The soup was delicious! I got the spicy tonkatsu and it was definitely spicy. The chashu was so flavorful. I was shocked because this definitely might be one of the best chashus I've ever had comparably to Japan. The egg? Phenomenal, the texture, marinade was tiers above other ramen places and you get an entire egg not just a half! If I were to improve one thing, I think it'd be nice to have some more variety in vegetable toppings as I was looking for more throughout my bowl.

To preface, I'm comparing my experience with the Tsujita in LA that I have been to before. The tsukemen is not as flavorful as I quite remembered. It wasn't until near the end of the meal that I noticed the broth was concentrated at the bottom. I highly suggest mixing the broth first before eating. This was not an issue when I ate at the LA location. The salmon bowl is a new dish I did not try previously. There's a unique smell to the dish, which either comes from the sauce or fish, that can be off-putting to some people. I suggest to go with the tsukemen the restaurant is known for.

You order at the front, then grab a table and wait for your name to be called. We got the chicken katsu with curry, karaage with curry, and tonkatsu. We also ordered menchi katsu a la carte (side) which came with two pieces. All of the curry came with rice or cabbage and you can choose the spice level (1-3). Level 1 is a mild with a kick. Pickled radish is additional dollar, kinda wish the meal came with it. Honestly would recommend just getting the choice of protein with the curry because it's a couple dollars more than getting a la carte... Curry was very good! Nice flavors and the rice helped enhance it. I liked the menchi katsu the most. It is basically a deep fried beef hamburger with crumb coating, flavors were really good and was juicy; came with 2 pieces for a la carte. Can't go wrong with chicken or tonkatsu too. The chicken karaage came with a mayo sauce on the side! I liked it, but I think this would be better on its own. Overall would come back and try other options.

The curry itself was flavorful and well spiced, not mind blowing but definitely solid. Portion is generous. Maybe a bit too much rice for me, and I kind of wished there was a veggie side, but no real complaints. Food came out fast and hot. Staff was friendly. Seating is on the smaller side but it wasn't too packed when I went.

It is straightforward with a good mix of udon, rice dishes, small bites, and drinks, which I really appreciated. The food felt delicate but still had layers of flavor. Nothing was heavy or overdone. The rice was one of my favorite parts. It was crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside, which made it so satisfying. The chicken karaage was also really good. Crispy, tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you order karaage. The only thing I would probably skip next time is the mixed sake drinks. They are fruity and fun, but they tasted like they were made with sugary syrup. So if you do not want a sugar bomb or you are watching sugar calories, I would stay away from those. The inside has a cozy feel that reminded me a little of something you would find in Japan, but with a bit of an American touch. It felt clean, casual, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive without making anything feel rushed. Also we had our son so they brought share plate without us even asking for him. I loved that they considered that. For the amount of food, the quality, and the overall experience, the prices felt well worth it. We will definitely be going back. It is one of those places that feels easy to recommend because the food is good, the menu makes sense, the service is warm, and the whole experience just works. We arrived around 5:50 PM and it wasn't busy but maybe 30 min in it was crowded and by the time we left there was a wait so plan to get there earlier. This was on a Wednesday as well.

The food was honestly so good, very rich and creamy flavors, but what really made me want to leave a 5 star review was how kind and careful the staff were with my little cousin's allergies (she is allergic to a lot of stuff). You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. It made our whole family feel really comfortable eating there. Amazing service and amazing food, definitely coming back!

I liked their traditional izakaya decor inside. They also had a tatami seating area towards the back. We decided to go family style so that we could try more items on their menu. We ordered the Niku Trio Set, which included braised pork, grilled chicken wings, niku tofu, edamame, and shishito. The food came out really quickly. Other than the edamame, which was very bland, everything was very flavorful. The pork was very soft, and the sliced thin beef paired really well with the tofu in the niku tofu. Both dishes came piping hot, and were very comforting, like home-cooked food. The shishito peppers came with a lot of bonito flakes; they're charred very well and not spicy at all. Wings well nicely grilled, too. The seafood okonomiyaki was not bad. It's a bit softer than I expected, but had quite a lot of seafood. The large Deluxe Meshi was pretty big. It came in a hot stone pot with a generous amount of salmon, eel, flying fish roe and a poached egg. I loved how crispy the rice around the pot was. No wonder it's their most popular dish. If you like authentic Japanese food, I would highly recommend this place.
