The absolute best pancakes that I have had in a long time. We went a little crazy with the extras but it was so worth it. I ordered chocolate chip, pecan, banana pancakes. There was no way I could finish my 2 pancakes but I am going to enjoy having the second half for dinner tonight. The rest of my family ordered Belgian waffles and they were just as happy as I was. We even took home one of their homemade blueberry breads to pick at on the way home. The service was outstanding, all of the staff was friendly and talkative. We will be looking for this place the next time we are on the cape. read more

I stumbled upon this place while waiting for a friend to get home and I was very pleasantly surprised at how great it was! This place was hopping with customers (a good sign) and I was lucky a seat at the counter had just opened up. The food is amazing, especially the home baked breads. They start you with a piece to have with your beverage while looking at the menu. The staff were all great, attentive, but not overly so, they also responded quickly to any request, but most of all, they were all very pleasant. read more

Keeping Laura's on my Cape Cod Bookmark list. The bakery items alone are worthy of a visit. The initial entry smell is baked vanilla so prominent, that it rests it's tiny head on your taste buds. With a friendly greeting, and menu, we were welcomed with a plate of the current bakery sample. Lemon blueberry bread. The texture was cake-like and warm to boot. So glad I had already ordered hot coffee to meld with this delight. It must have been obvious that it was our first visit. When she returned to take our order, we were still moaning over the bread. I had the Jag, which is rice, beans, onion, kielbasa type sausage with eggs and bread. The idea that they are trying to do something different is applause worthy. I found it to have that rice 'sat to long' and slightly glutenous taste. The blueberry pancakes were plate size huge, moist and scrumptious. It was a bit queery that we sat at the counter, and had the hardest time getting a coffee refill. It feels rude to loudly say "EXCUSE ME". Breakfast was pretty prompt for the rotating crowd flow. It's not a big place. Beverages are water based, milk, juice or bottled coke products from the cooler. Pretty clean restaurant space. The servers are quick with a cleaning towel to avoid the hassle of guests sitting at dirty tables. I am writing this to remind myself that next visit... Take advantage of the mad baking skills by getting the Quiche of the day. Remember to bring a good hot sauce. Theirs was the usual. read more

Best breakfast place i have ever been. Went to see friends new house in Mashpee and then went for breakfast. Food served hot, fresh, and correct. 3 out 3 means perfect to me. The coffee was never empty. They gave samples of bread of day while you r waiting for meal. They also sold their bread and jam for take home. Def a 5 star plus resturant. This place was okay, food was meh, the wait time was horrible. We arrived and then we're seated 15 minutes later, then they took our order about 7 minutes later. Took about 45 minutes for the food to come. Some customer was touching and organizing all of the breads... like girl we are in a pandemic why do you need to touch all the breads?? Staff was friendly. They did not have many options if you are vegetarian, they mainly had eggs and meats with the exception of a Belgian waffle, french toast, and pancakes. Overall, it was average. read more

Stayed in the cape with some friends and on our last day we stopped to get breakfast before heading home. Laura's Home Cookin' was right down the road from our airbnb so we decided it would be an easy stop. This exceeded our expectations by a million. We were a group of 7 and they were extremely accommodating and made room for us even with the rush of people. The food was phenomenal and all home cooked but the best part by far was the service. We had two outstanding servers, Deyvin and Karen, who made our experience feel personal and meaningful. The owner, Laura, was the sweetest woman who very clearly cares about her customers and has a deep connection to her restaurant. This is by far the best place me and my friends ate at while we were here. Everyone should visit Laura's Home Cookin' at some point! 10/10!! read more

The service was kind, if dismal. On the rare occasions when our server came over she was very kind, if ineffectual. She never refilled our drinks and never checked in on us. Normally this isn't a big deal when we dine out, but it is an issue when you're also waiting almost an hour for food. Parking is very limited, and we were lucky to find a spot. We were seated relatively quickly, but from there our luck ran out. It took nearly an hour for us to get our food, and with no one coming to check in with us I was about ready to just leave. Just before I suggested leaving our food finally arrived. I supposed my biggest wonder is how it took almost an hour to make chicken tenders, and how they were able to screw them up in that time. The chicken was dry, the bacon was so burnt I couldn't eat half of it, and my boyfriends "special French toast" (which was French toast with m&ms in it) was also unpleasant. This is a boy who will polish off a plate that he thinks is just OK because it's food. He couldn't finish his plate. Speaking of plates, they use plastic plates which isn't wholly unpleasant, but very bad for the environment. At the same time, I fear that if they were to get regular dishes our food would take longer to receive. There were also piles of chairs in the corner (which just happened to be right next to where we sat) that appeared to exist in case they needed more chairs at a table. Surely there could be a less tacky way to do it, and a better way that would allow for more seating (as there is very little room to begin with). Overall Laura's isn't that great of a breakfast/brunch/lunch place, and I'm sure there are far better restaurants around. read more

I had a great breakfast at Laura's early on in the pandemic. It was a first visit for me and I was glad to see that the tables were nicely spaced out. The bacon and eggs were perfectly cooked and the marble rye toast was fantastic. When I commented to the waitress about how much I enjoyed it, she offered to order a loaf for me when they placed their next order. Two days later, she called to tell me when it would arrive then called next day when it came in. That's great customer service! read more

This restaurant is near to us and excellent for breakfast and lunch. We recently ordered Chicken, Broccoli and Ziti for a family event and it was reasonably priced and was delicious. We stopped in here since we pass it everyday on our way to the gym and read great reviews on yelp. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall but the inside is very modern and looks new. We both had the eggs benedict since thats what we were craving and read reviews about and it was just ok. The sauce wasnt as great and it wasnt as indulging as eggs benedict should be. I should feel guilty after eating them haha. We are on the fence about stopping ing to try other things on the menu. read more

Right away you'll notice the poor parking, the dismal atmosphere, and the limited seating.... BUT... When you get past all of that, you'll find a nice hole-in-the-wall place to grab some delicious and inexpensive food. Well, I though Hoagie's had the worst biscuits and gravy I've ever tasted last summer, and then I ate here. Honestly, I don't even know what to say. The gravy was yellow and tasted like butter, and had also managed to separate. Quite impressive. This dish was an absolute nightmare, with no redeeming qualities. The bacon was thin, overcooked, and just tasted cheap. My wife's scrambled eggs were ok. The home fries were good- sautéed onion and pepper and a nice char on the potato. Honestly, the best part of breakfast was the toast. That should tell you something. It was also very cheap. The staff knew most of the locals that were coming in, and how to joke with each of them, but the food here is basically garbage. Do yourself a favor and skip this. read more

I was trying something different for lunch, being bored of the same restaurants and saw this place out of the corner of my eye. It's really tucked away. Overall, I'd say the staff was courteous and friendly, attentive and conscious of their patrons and the food was diner style mixed with a little bit of character. Staff was AMAZING, we have a toddler and they were very playful, accommodating and very nice. There was a good "home/family/neighborhood" feel. We were visitors, but felt like regulars both times we went there. The banana pancakes were delicious and the corned beef hash as well! Not super oily like some places, which is good! When I say this place is amazing, I am not using that adjective as an understatement. This place is AH-MAZE-ING! Lives up to the expectation when you think of a comforting traditional American breakfast. Almost everything on the menu is tasty and cooked with true care. And the best part is that this place isn't even expensive (even though it surpasses a lot of "higher-end" breakfast/brunch places that try to rip you off). Everyone who works here is friendly and welcoming; they really make the place feel homey and cozy. The only complaint is that there's pretty much almost always at least a 10 minute wait to be seated because the place is so small. Don't get me wrong--I like that it's a small family owned business because that's what makes it so great, but I do find myself getting take out more often that I would like to instead of having a sit down breakfast. read more
