Starting with the good, the food was decent. Nothing special, but about what I expect from a breakfast place. I would have given this place another star if it weren't for the level of cleanliness, or rather the lack there of. We sat next to the bathroom, which had an odor wafting off of it. I don't blame them for that since I get it's a small place, although it was a bit unpleasant staring at the bathroom and smelling the toilet while eating. The worst part though was the dirt and grime on the walls, tables, and window sills. I have never seen so much visible dirt in a restaurant, especially when I'm not even eating outside. The worst part was the decomposing dragon fly that sat next to us as we ate our breakfast. They must not clean at all because I think it would be pretty hard to miss a giant dead dragonfly. Service was fine and I would have liked the place better had it been cleaner. If that's what the restaurant looks like, who knows what the kitchen looks like. Needless to say I won't be back.

Food is ok. Service was ok. Food is usual. Targeted primary for retired folks which is fine. The one star is because they fool people. My first check shown total 51.36$ , the one that lists food I ordered + MA 7% tax. After I paid and got a second check , I figured out restaurant already charged 4% service fee, which only shown up after I pay, on a seconds bill (the one where I suppose to give tips and write grand total and signature). So I was billed for 51.36$, but in fact they charged 53.28$ without any notice. This is awful. I still tip 25% before taxes and hidden fees, do not want to be rude to servers, they did a great job, but Im not coming there anymore.

This is a good, basic diner with typical breakfast foods. There was nothing on the menu that made it stand out. We did like the different choices of home made breads. My husband chose raisin bread with his breakfast plate and it was good. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was about average. We probably won't come back on our vacation to the Cape. They seem to get a lot of local regulars and it was really nice to see the waitresses interact with them. They definitely treat the regulars like family. But it seems like the tourists are a bit of an annoyance to them. We are here in the Fall and maybe they are just tired from the Summer crowds.

Just not the same, new owner. New waitstaff and of course new prices. Wicked cold in here today. Plenty of parking though.

Good breakfast spot! Just your average diner vibe. The food was good and the coffee was typical for a diner. Nothing outstanding to write home about. It hit the spot on the way out of town.

This place is such a good local spot! I came here during the week and it was quiet. There's not much seating so if you come during peak I would suggest getting there early. After we ordered food they brought out this homemade bread which was phenomenal. You can tell it was baked that day! I ordered some eggs and corned beef hash. Everything in this place is homemade. They also had some bread ready to go if you wanted to take some home. 5 stars all around

We got both fresh offerings of oysters to start.- so good. For beverages, I had a Maine IPA & Kate had a pear pressure. We really enjoyed them both. Kate got the Seafood Pot Pie. The good news is we try each others meals. An absolute home run! The scrod, lobster, scallops and shrimp were perfect. Add in Newburg sauce asparagus and spinach, top it with a puff pastry to soak up the sauce-10 out of 10. There is a reason it's a house favorite. I had the baked seafood trio. Shrimp, scrod and scallops, with baked potato and asparagus. 2 u-15 shrimp, 3oz of fresh Chatham scrod and 3 local scallops, done in a lemon beurre blac. A small portion of each but delicious. The baked potato was just like you would hope. Asparagus was underdone, by our tastes, but not knocking the rating over that. Overall 8/10. Will try the blackened mahi mahi next visit. Kate's not budging from the seafood pot pie Our server Taryn was nice and busy. They have runners who are all over the place. Owner? out picking up plates and checking every time to make sure we were happy. Nearly half of my life was spent in the front of the house-that's how I treated every person I encountered in my establishments. This place was crazy busy. Every server, food runner, host etc had a genuine smile. Customers were happy, among them, many locals. Our take; if you are here for a few days or a while, make it a point to enjoy a meal here. Pretty confident you'll be happy you did.

In my experience one can tell a lot from a restaurant's name. With cliche names like "Quarterdeck," "Fisherman's Catch," etc. it's almost guaranteed to be average at best. I don't know why but it's usually true. I got a clam roll which turned out to be a mistake. I got it because I wanted a smaller portion than the platter. But the clams were oversized for a roll and too few in number so it was hard to eat. Good for a platter but for a roll, smaller clams and more of them would be better. But the clams though were fresh, cooked correctly, and the batter was decent, not outstanding. The roll was toasted and buttered, and a small lettuce leaf completed the sandwich. My biggest complaint was the tartar sauce, homemade, which was a disaster. Tasted of little more than plain mayonnaise. Unfortunately the fries were almost room temperature. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waitress came by and asked I told her. She apologized, took them away, and returned with a new platter of fries, a very large portion, and scaldingly hot. I was no longer so hungry but ate a good fraction of them, as leaving them after she brought a replacement just seemed rude. They weren't very good though; greasy and the oil didn't taste fresh. To drink I had a "mocktail" version of a Moscow Mule. It was way too sweet. Without the bite of alcohol it needed something else to tone down the sweetness. It wasn't cheap either. I should have just had a plain ginger ale. I would recommend trying someplace else instead. Lots of choices in the area.

Although there was a short wait to be seated, it was less than three minutes, and we were quickly shown to a cozy corner table tucked away from the pub and the main dining area. Our waitress greeted us warmly and took our drink orders. I ordered a Blue Moon, while my wife tried their version of a margarita. The beer was enjoyable, but my wife was not a fan of her drink, as it lacked the traditional margarita flavor she was expecting. For dinner, I decided to try something new and ordered the traditional Reuben sandwich. The bread was nicely grilled, and although I am not usually a fan of pickled vegetables, the sauerkraut was actually quite good. Overall, the sandwich was enjoyable, though I felt it could have used a bit more corned beef. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas, but unfortunately, they were disappointing. The chicken was dry, and the dish overall missed the mark. As we were leaving, her final comment summed up the experience: "We probably would have had a better meal at the 99." While parts of the meal were enjoyable, the overall experience did not quite live up to our expectations after such a long time away.

Spend half of your toxic energy on your restaurant and it would surely improve :). The service was great, but unfortunately the food did not meet expectations. As a restaurant known for its pancakes, I was very disappointed in the quality of them. I had really high hopes for them especially as they were a major pregnancy craving, but they were not fluffy nor very tasty. I've had much better pancakes at chain restaurants or even at home unfortunately. We also got the philly steak omelet and lobster eggs benedict, which were just ok. Additionally a $6.50 side of bacon came with just a couple limp, greasy pieces. The restaurant is a little tight too and it feels like everyone around you is right on top of you. I wish I was a fan as most everyone else seems to be, but I can't get there. With so many options in the area, we'll try something else next time.
