Went here for breakfast on a Sunday around 9:45 and it was pretty open. We ordered the breakfast bowl, Jag and eggs, blueberry pancakes, and an omelette. Everything was very good. The one complaint was that the omelette was not made correctly - the fillings were not inside mixed in with the egg. The omelette appeared to be cooked first, and then folded with the fillings inside, despite this, it was still tasty. read more

Starting with the good, the food was decent. Nothing special, but about what I expect from a breakfast place. I would have given this place another star if it weren't for the level of cleanliness, or rather the lack there of. We sat next to the bathroom, which had an odor wafting off of it. I don't blame them for that since I get it's a small place, although it was a bit unpleasant staring at the bathroom and smelling the toilet while eating. The worst part though was the dirt and grime on the walls, tables, and window sills. I have never seen so much visible dirt in a restaurant, especially when I'm not even eating outside. The worst part was the decomposing dragon fly that sat next to us as we ate our breakfast. They must not clean at all because I think it would be pretty hard to miss a giant dead dragonfly. Service was fine and I would have liked the place better had it been cleaner. If that's what the restaurant looks like, who knows what the kitchen looks like. Food is ok. Service was ok. Food is usual. Targeted primary for retired folks which is fine. The one star is because they fool people. My first check shown total 51.36$ , the one that lists food I ordered + MA 7% tax. After I paid and got a second check , I figured out restaurant already charged 4% service fee, which only shown up after I pay, on a seconds bill (the one where I suppose to give tips and write grand total and signature). So I was billed for 51.36$, but in fact they charged 53.28$ without any notice. This is awful. I still tip 25% before taxes and hidden fees, do not want to be rude to servers, they did a great job, but Im not coming there anymore. read more

This is a good, basic diner with typical breakfast foods. There was nothing on the menu that made it stand out. We did like the different choices of home made breads. My husband chose raisin bread with his breakfast plate and it was good. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was about average. We probably won't come back on our vacation to the Cape. They seem to get a lot of local regulars and it was really nice to see the waitresses interact with them. They definitely treat the regulars like family. But it seems like the tourists are a bit of an annoyance to them. We are here in the Fall and maybe they are just tired from the Summer crowds. read more

I got the eggs Benedict with spinach and tomato with an additional charge for Canadian bacon. I asked and received hollandaise sauce on the side which was very good. The problem with this meal was the English muffins. First they must have been extremely thin E. Muffins. On top that they were soaked with water before I put the on the side hollandaise sauce. I didn't recognize them as English muffins. Possibly from the spinach cooking water. After eating what I could, I told waitess and manager about the thin soaked English muffins. They told me that they would tell the chef. I really should said something earlier while eating it. I did not enjoy this meal at all. I rarely have the money to go out to eat. This place is such a good local spot! I came here during the week and it was quiet. There's not much seating so if you come during peak I would suggest getting there early. What a great spot! The staff is as great as the food - which is outstanding! Five of us stopped in at 10:30. Two got breakfast, three got lunch. They were so accommodating!! Chicken cordon bleu sandwiches were delicious. One had a blt on raisin bread. Texas French toast and pancakes the size of the plate they came on. One of the best parts of the meal was the orange cranberry cornbread that came before the meal. The "fine China" was perfect and the coffee was endless. Such a homey comfortable place for a great meal with great friends. We got muffins to go (great even the next day) and the bill for everything was $70. Incredible. What a gem. read more

Their servers were very nice and quickly cleaned up available tables and combining them for the 5 of us. Their raisin bread and pancakes was very tasty! Their hash browns/home fries was so so good! French toast was good. However their steak and egg was over cooked, corned beef was very dry and under seasoned. Their egg Benedict wasn't that great. I had a very tasty breakfast today. My issue was not the food. It is the same high standard set by Laura when she owned the place for many years. My problem was the rude, overbearing waitress who "served" me. Tina, when you make as error putting the food into the kitchen, don't blame everyone else for your mistake. Tina, one doesn't deliver the order in shifts without any explanation. Tina, when the customer asks for an explanation, you don't speak over him or interrupt him as he is making the inquiry. Tina, you don't explain yourself by simply saying "the sausage wasn't ready" when asked why the order arrived long after the hash and eggs was served. In short, you're supposedly in the customer SERVICE business not the "take it as I toss it and be thankful business". Tina, you spoiled a nice morning simply because you are rude...and still got a 15% tip. Imagine what you would have received if you were pleasant! I'll be back but avoiding your butt. read more

Great great breakfast place here in mashpee. Very tasty pancakes and homemade breads. My poached eggs were perfect and the eggs benedict over housemade corned beef hash was delicious. The homemade jag is what brought us in. Our family has been making jag for years and we never see it on any menu. Since we are purchasing a home in Mashpee we decided to give Laura's a try, after having breakfast here, we are impressed! Everything here is homemade and delicious. The staff here was incredible and we loved out waitress Joy. We tried the Jag, corned beef hash as well as their pancakes. Everything was prepared perfectly and we didn't have a single complaint. In the end we ended up walking out with a loaf of their strawberry/blueberry bread. Overall, we loved this restaurant and can't wait to make it our regular spot. read more

This place was a total gem in Mashpee! We came here for a birthday brunch around 11:30 on a Sunday (in the middle of winter) with a group of 7 and they moved around some tables to seat us right away. They came out with free quick bread samples and even let us try some of their 'jag' (on the menu) because we had no idea what it was (pro tip: it's a portugese rice based dish). Our table ordered a pretty broad range of entrees (french toast, eggs benedicts, country fried steak, the breakfast bowel, breakfast sandwich) and everyone loved it. The toast they had on the side was so good that we tried to buy a loaf as we left (they were out for the day, sadly). We will 100% be back next time we're in the area! read more

Eh...meh...it wasn't ok, a few issues. I ordered a breakfast bowl. It had runny scrambled eggs. My wife ordered a sandwich and it was supposed to come with pickles...none were on it. Our friend ordered a sandwich as well, it had all the pickles and also it had a couple pieces of cardboard in it. I posted a picture...disturbing. We should have known a place this popular (and small probably only seats up to 25) would have a wait on Sunday morning for breakfast! On the cusp of hunger and deciding to go somewhere else we asked for a take out menu to get some breakfast to eat quickly since they said there would be a 40 minute wait for a table for 4. The waitresses who took our orders were very considerate as we waited, and it just so happened that after only 20 minutes one of the tables finished early so they let us stay and eat our food that was just ready. Perfect! As I thought we might be eating sitting outside or standing up I just got a breakfast sandwich with sausage on a bagel. I was very surprised to see that it also came with a huge portion of delicious home fries. The sandwich was so juicy and buttery it melted instantly in my mouth. I also got a cinnamon roll on the side, which was only a little strange tasting but that might have been the sugar (tasted weirdly of chemicals). My friends ordered a huge stack of pancakes and Eggs Benedict with home fries, which of course were also tasty! Can't wait to come back to this place the next time we are on the Cape! read more

Driven past this place for a while now and wanted to try something new so we decided to check it out. It's your old mom and pops diner. The places I love and what breakfast is all about. The moment we walked we were greeted and welcomed and since it was mid week and early enough, we sat anywhere. The waitress was very welcoming and kind. The coffee/tea order was quick, and they make a good cup of joe. Bottomless of course, is always key. The breakfast menu is of your typical variety. From egg sandwiches, omelettes, french toast, pancakes, eggs benedict/poached and the sides. They start you off w a blueberry muffin when they bring your coffee, nice touch. I was starving so I went w/ the two eggs (scrambled), meat(bacon), home fries and toast. For good measure and to eat like a viking, a half order of french toast (two slices). The quality was above average, the bacon was perfectly crispy, the home fries were cooked perfectly and nice and crispy, the eggs were your standard filling and white toast, maybe scali ? was great. The french toast wasn't too thick and had a great taste to it. Across from me they got the pancakes w bananas and it was a heaping portion of pancakes and bananas. Did not try but they said it was delicious. Laura's also has a bakery w muffins, coffee roles, moon pies, whoopie pies and cupcakes. We took a few to go and the frosted coffee roll was good, little dry, but still tasty. This place is def true to it's name. Home Cookin'.
