Came here for breakfast and had a great experience. There is quite a line but boy is it worth the wait. I came here with a big group and our server was over quickly and attentive throughout our stay. Everything we ordered came out quickly and tasted delicious. The staff was super friendly and the place had some great charm. Next time I am on the cape, I will certainly be coming back. I highly recommend!

This is such a cute place, so nostalgic of the 50's era. The mural on the wall, tables, and chairs made you feel like you were part of American Graffiti We went for breakfast before leaving the Cape. They had plenty of gf breakfast items along with ones that aren't gluten friendly. They ask if it's a preference or allergy. I had the stand bacon and eggs with gf toast. They did have french toast and pancakes that were gf. The waitresses were cheerful and friendly. We found this place by looking on Yelp. The proprietor at the place we stayed at also recommended it. We definitely enjoyed the ambiance, friendly service, and yummy breakfast items

In 2017, Betsy's Diner was listed as one of the top 15 diners in New England, by Yankee Magazine. When I googled that article this morning, it was no longer on an updated list from August 2nd, 2021. And the other 14 diners from the original list still made the cut. What happened???? Apparently, from speaking with several of the locals, ownership changed hands in 2019. The menu changed, prices went up.... I was in the area b4 knowing of the ownership change and decided to try it. The signage, ambience, and nostalgia still beckons. There was a brief wait on an off-season Saturday morning. Place was crowded. I ordered a make your own 3-egg omelet with ham and brocolli. Came w home fries and toast. I was underwhelmed. The eggs were way overcooked to the point of being crispy. The broccoli was not cooked at all. The home fries were nothing special....not spiced at all. And the coffee, unfathomably, was not very hot. Price for the omelet was $11.45. Bill came to over $15, so the coffee must've been $2.99. Note that it's not listed on the menu. All-in-all, pricey and not high quality. In fairness, my seating neighbors had pancakes and they looked good. Also, Kathleen, was GREAT. Constantly on the move, pleasant, efficient, etc. I can see why Betsy's was the only diner replaced from the original 2017 list. Great on nostalgia, but...... and the corned beef hash is not homemade.

CLEAN syrup dispenser! Unheard of at a diner! Great job Betsy's!

Totally impressed. Came on Tuesday morning at 8am and the two waitresses (blonde and brunette) were efficient, tidy and attentive. It did not feel grungy like our diner at home - windowsills, the drink areas and behind the counter just looked like they had been cared for and kept up. Breakfast food was great. The egg portions was huge and the home fries were crispy and homemade. Guess what? They had real maple syrup upon request!

YUM. I loves me a good breakfast. This little diner serves up a breakfast that satisfies those morning hunger pangs. I ordered the classic breakfast of fluffy pancakes, savory sausage links, eggs over easy and real home fries - not those stringy things - I'm talking real chunks of potatoes. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The sausage was juicy and perfectly cooked and the eggs were perfectly cooked. I wonder if the corned beef hash is home made? We will definitely return.

Unfortunately my experience was poor. I walked in and 2 waitresses were there, one told me I could sit anywhere. As I sat down at the bar I could see food stuck on the "clean" silverware setups. The typical 1950's music was playing in the dining area. In the kitchen different music was blaring which for me was sensory overload. I ordered black coffee. The coffee was good. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet which came with home fries & toast. I got a grilled English. The whole delivery was unappetizing. It gave me "slop" vibes. The omelet was overcooked & cold and whole slices of bacon were just thrown in making it hard to cut and eat. The home fries were burnt on one side and raw on the other. The English muffin was flavorless. The waitress who threw the food in front on me asked me if I needed anything else. I had no salt/pepper or condiments in front of me. So I said yes everything. I try to always have a sense of adventure and keep a sense of humor even when things are not as I had hoped. This whole experience was underwhelming and I will never go back. The guy beside me said there was another place close that had really good omelets. I will try them next time. This place has potential if the staff wanted to actually care about giving good service and maybe the cook stops slinging out less than appetizing food. Just my impression. Hopefully your experience will be better!

This diner reminds me of Happy Days waiting for Ritchie Cunningham and his friends to walk in. I just wanted a coffee and something sweet for a snack. Coffee is bottomless and delicious. My blueberry muffin was grilled with butter, yummy. The restaurant was bustling and the servers always had a smile and made sure you were ok. The decor is fun with sock hopping music. I recommend Betsy Diner, come on in and enjoy sitting at the counter or at a table.

The lack of kindness and professionalism on the waitress was enough to make me not want to come back. Too bad food was mediocre as well.

We got both fresh offerings of oysters to start.- so good. For beverages, I had a Maine IPA & Kate had a pear pressure. We really enjoyed them both. Kate got the Seafood Pot Pie. The good news is we try each others meals. An absolute home run! The scrod, lobster, scallops and shrimp were perfect. Add in Newburg sauce asparagus and spinach, top it with a puff pastry to soak up the sauce-10 out of 10. There is a reason it's a house favorite. I had the baked seafood trio. Shrimp, scrod and scallops, with baked potato and asparagus. 2 u-15 shrimp, 3oz of fresh Chatham scrod and 3 local scallops, done in a lemon beurre blac. A small portion of each but delicious. The baked potato was just like you would hope. Asparagus was underdone, by our tastes, but not knocking the rating over that. Overall 8/10. Will try the blackened mahi mahi next visit. Kate's not budging from the seafood pot pie Our server Taryn was nice and busy. They have runners who are all over the place. Owner? out picking up plates and checking every time to make sure we were happy. Nearly half of my life was spent in the front of the house-that's how I treated every person I encountered in my establishments. This place was crazy busy. Every server, food runner, host etc had a genuine smile. Customers were happy, among them, many locals. Our take; if you are here for a few days or a while, make it a point to enjoy a meal here. Pretty confident you'll be happy you did.

In my experience one can tell a lot from a restaurant's name. With cliche names like "Quarterdeck," "Fisherman's Catch," etc. it's almost guaranteed to be average at best. I don't know why but it's usually true. I got a clam roll which turned out to be a mistake. I got it because I wanted a smaller portion than the platter. But the clams were oversized for a roll and too few in number so it was hard to eat. Good for a platter but for a roll, smaller clams and more of them would be better. But the clams though were fresh, cooked correctly, and the batter was decent, not outstanding. The roll was toasted and buttered, and a small lettuce leaf completed the sandwich. My biggest complaint was the tartar sauce, homemade, which was a disaster. Tasted of little more than plain mayonnaise. Unfortunately the fries were almost room temperature. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waitress came by and asked I told her. She apologized, took them away, and returned with a new platter of fries, a very large portion, and scaldingly hot. I was no longer so hungry but ate a good fraction of them, as leaving them after she brought a replacement just seemed rude. They weren't very good though; greasy and the oil didn't taste fresh. To drink I had a "mocktail" version of a Moscow Mule. It was way too sweet. Without the bite of alcohol it needed something else to tone down the sweetness. It wasn't cheap either. I should have just had a plain ginger ale. I would recommend trying someplace else instead. Lots of choices in the area.

You could feel the energy as soon as you walked in. The bartenders were definitely in the weeds most of the night, but you'd never know it from their attitude -- still friendly, still smiling, and somehow making me feel like I'd been coming there for years (first visit, by the way). Grabbed a veggie pizza (solid choice), a cold beer, and settled in for a couple of hours of great local music and that perfect "this is exactly where I'm supposed to be tonight" vibe. Review: Jack's Restaurant and Bar - A Tale of Two Temperatures…read moreIf you're looking for a spot in Falmouth where the vibes are high but the Celsius is... conservative, Jack's Restaurant and Bar is your destination. I went in with high hopes and a healthy appetite. Here's the breakdown of our culinary "Goldilocks" experience--except nothing was actually hot. The Order The Boneless Ribeye: This steak was seasoned to perfection and tender enough to make a grown man cry. It had the soul of a five-star meal, but the temperature of a brisk October morning on Old Silver Beach. I'm convinced the chef cooked it beautifully and then gave it a pep talk in a room-temperature hallway for ten minutes before sending it out. The Scallops: My companion's scallops were seared wonderfully. They looked like little pillows of heaven. Unfortunately, they were also roughly the same temperature as actual pillows. Delicious? Yes. Did they require a scarf? Possibly. The "Lukewarm" Mystery It's honestly an impressive feat of physics. To have a crust that crisp on a ribeye and a sear that golden on a scallop, yet have both arrive with the thermal energy of a glass of tap water, defies the laws of thermodynamics. Pro Tip: If you're the type of person who always burns their tongue on the first bite, Jack's is your safe haven. You can dive in with the reckless abandon of a seagull hitting a discarded fry. The Verdict The food at Jack's is legitimately tasty. The flavors are 10/10, the bar scene is lively, and the service is friendly. We didn't even send it back because, frankly, we were too busy enjoying the flavor to care about the lack of steam. It's the only place I've been where the "warm" welcome applies to the steak, too. Final Score: (Four stars--would have been five, but I had to check my ribeye for a pulse to see if it was hibernating.)

From the second we walked in, the whole place just had an amazing atmosphere. The ambience is honestly one of the best parts about dining here -- you've got that perfect Cape Cod waterfront vibe with the boats in the marina, the breeze coming off the water, and the way the light hits the harbor around sunset makes everything feel super relaxed but still special at the same time. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your meal without feeling rushed, and just take in where you are. On top of that, our waitress Ashley gave us outstanding service. She was genuinely so nice and welcoming right from the start, constantly checking in on us without ever being overbearing. You can tell she really cares about making sure people are having a good experience. She answered all of our questions about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. It's rare to get service that feels that attentive but still natural, and she really made our night better. And the food was amazing. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You could tell it was made with care and not just rushed out. Between the service, the ambience, and the quality of the food, this was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Falmouth. We'll definitely be coming back, and we hope to get Ashley again next time!

Where to start.. I ordered the spicy crabby & cucumber salad…read more& it was not only a huge portions but it was the best I've ever had! Seriously, if you follow me, you know that is a compliment! My drink was a dirty martini & it was a heavy pour & a decent drink. Again, not the best but very good. For the entree I wanted to order the sushi pizza.. yea you heard it right, I wouldn't have even considered it but by neighboring table got it & it looked FANTASTIC. However, I was away from home & did not want leftovers so I ordered the special sushi roll Crimson Tide & added Jalapeños. The Jalapeños were fresh & crispy, but did not lend any additional heat. I am a sushi snob, so it was not the best I've ever had, but it was decent. For most it would be good. The menu changes regularly, which was a little disappointing. It was different online, vs on Yelp vs in person & the prices were about $10 more than listed online, but overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I would recommend checking them out, just know it won't be cheap. I originally wanted the seared Tuna, but when I got here, it was halibut & it was $36 vs $22. I will include pics of the menu, but like I said, it's subject to change. OK, take this with a grain of salt. I would probably have made it a 4 vs 3 so I'm on the fence. Regan, my server explained that the additional $6 added to my $12 martini was not because it was a dirty martini, but because it was up vs on the rocks, so it was a bigger pour. It makes sense, but I have never seen this before.. make your own decisions.
