My wife just got your basic eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. She said the home fries were real good and toast was made with home made bread. I tried the biscuits & gravy with 2 eggs, this is one of my favorite things for breakfast when we eat out, - OMG - this was by far the best I've ever had !!! Biscuits were gone made as well and the sausage gravy was incredible !!! Not a fancy place inside by any means, but had that nice local small town diner feel to it that I like. Food was good but was very surprised - and disappointed - that there was 3.5% Credit Card charge on my bill. Not only is that illegal in Massachusetts but there was no notification of the charge in advance. I understand that a lot of businesses do it now but at least give the customer the option of saving by using cash. Or........ just do it legally and offer a cash discount. read more

We have had Laura's about four times over the past two years. We typically get take-out which is very quick and convenient. The food truly is home cooking, simple and tasty. Extremely slow service. Waited for over an hour to be served and the restaurant wasn't that busy. When the food was delivered my eggs were underdone. The cook then burned the eggs. My sisters breakfast was cold. My brother ordered overeasy eggs and got poached. My nephew - who will eat anything- said that the biscuits and gravy weren't as good as Popeye's. So we went and I was surprised to see that I could substitute my toast for gluten free since most breakfast places I've been to do not even have gluten free toast. All waitresses over the age of 30 have no idea what's going on, had the wrong order brought to me twice, not to mention when I actually got my toast it was burnt, how do you mess up toast? The simplest thing is toast, a 5 year old can make toast. Overall unsatisfied, bacon was also low quality, stay away from the linguica very very small portion for $3.50. Went here with my girlfriend after church on Sunday. We came at 11:30 and didn't leave until 1. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food, when all I ordered was the loaded scrambled eggs with toast and she ordered two sunny side up eggs, potatoes and toast. Not to mention their AC wasn't working, it was hotter inside than it was outside because of the close proximity to the kitchen's heat. I was literally breaking a sweat by the time we left. I felt bad for whoever was in the kitchen, must have been only one or two people at most though because they were short staffed. Which is why I understood the wait would be long, but what I didn't understand is why they were taking to go orders. I overheard who I believe to be Laura say to a party of four that had been waiting longer than us "Sundays are our busiest days, we were slammed with to go orders." Okay, I understand you want more revenue coming in, but if you're short staffed you shouldn't be taking to go orders and making the people in house wait incredibly long for their food in the first place. Trust me when I say that we were not the only ones who felt this way. You should be prioritizing your in house customers food first, but that's just my opinion I guess. Oh and also the toilet wasn't flushing, and theres only one shared sex bathroom. So yeah. I usually don't like to be hard on restaurants but all in all I wouldn't recommend going here, not until they fix their workplace issues. Had breakfast there this morning and it was very good. We arrived early after 7 am Mass and I guess it was around 7:45 am. No crowds yet. My husband had the homemade corned beef hash and I had a bit of it, just delicious. He also had a side of biscuits and gravy. He is all about breakfast. Just back from breakfast at Laura's and it was delicious! I had the best Belgian Waffle with fresh strawberries since the NY Worlds Fair 50 years ago! Very light and crisp with a nice flavor; the berries were fresh and sweet. Wife really enjoyed her Eggs Benedict, served on large, grilled English muffins, with a side of homefries. The corned beef hash at Laura's is homemade and not salty; a very tasty dish. Prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly and experienced, as we recognized some of the waitresses from the Marshland in Sandwich. Give Laura's a try, you won't be disappointed! After reading the reviews I was really looking forward to bringing the family out for a late breakfast after church service. The service was great,easily a 5 out of 5. I found the servers very kind and attentive people. The food, maybe a 3. Wife had overcooked steak and undercooked eggs. Kids pancakes were "OK", but had too much powdered sugar. My scrambled eggs weren't anything special. Our special treat was to eat our food with plastic cutlery and off plastic plates! Then watch the cook, twice drag (leaky) bags of garbage through the restaurant service. I won't be coming back. read more

This place was recommended to us by a local who said it was their favorite. We visited this place twice the first time my breakfast was cold, so cold the butter on my English muffin would not melt, the eggs were gross and cold. The waitress felt bad and gave us a credit to come back. Decided to give it a second shot to try the Famous biscuits and gravy, definitely a let down the portion is small, the gravy tastes like it has chicken broth and cream cheese in it, not how a real sausage gravy should taste. Laura's Home Cookin' is a fairly typical townie diner. The inside is nice and clean, the service was very quick and friendly, and the gluten-free bread was delicious-- so nice to have that offered at a diner! However, the rest of the food was just okay. My friend said that the corned beef hash was dry and lacked flavor. The home fries tasted good, but the potato chunks were very large and a couple weren't cooked all the way through. My waffle was pretty good, though I've had better. Also, curiously, the restaurant was only using plastic plates and glasses, which produces a lot of unnecessary waste. read more

I am in the cape very infrequently, and decided to stop by with my cousins and niece. We got the farmer's breakfast (3 orders), the corned beef hash (1 order), and biscuits with gravy (1 order just as an additional side). Food was pretty good. One thing I would say is that there are flys (pretty unavoidable but still gross) the waitress had to give us napkins to keep them away and it can get pretty hot in there. Today it was 65, so not too terribly hot for fall, but it was pretty steamy in there. Overall good experience but we may not be back until winter when it's not so warm. read more

This place is a cute little townie diner with super friendly staff and great service. We were a party of eight and they were so accommodating while we had an understandably half hour wait on a weekend morning on the cape. I was surprised it was actually only a half hour considering the size of our party and the busy summer season. They offered us water as we sat outside at the benches waiting to be called and kept us updated on our wait. Once inside, the coffee is great, the hash is delicious, and the home fries are tasty! The food was soooo good! Everything was homemade and made in house. Toast was thick cut and light, the home fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked-crispy and not at all greasy.
