READ MY REVIEW BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH MARK…read more As a customer, you are entitled to reschedule as many times as you wish. Usually, the correct appointment is scheduled on the day and time you request upon availability..however, in this case, it's NOT TRUE. I rescheduled my appt. twice and on the 2nd time I caught on my invoice that Mark put the WRONG DATE & TIME. So I called him and corrected him and it got resolved. 2 days later, I call to reschedule for a sooner date due to moving changes..and it got confirmed for YESTERDAY. On the day of moving day which Mark verbally confirmed on the phone for WEDNESDAY, I look on my invoice AND IT SAYS PICK UP THURSDAY. I immediately text and call Mark, and he texts back with rude and sarcastic responses which expressed NO REMORSE or mistake on his part!! THIS IS A TRUE STORY! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY and you'll THANK ME LATER!!!

In addition, the guys kept complaining about how much stuff we had and it felt very disrespectful so they also complained that things wouldn't fit up the stairs when they actually did. They also did not take everything from the old house so I had to make an extra trip myself to try and fit things into my small car. I've had many moving experiences from different companies and these guys are by far the worst experience I've had.

Packing I was unable to pack everything myself so they stepped in to help. They brought boxes and wrapping materials and carefully packed everything. I was concerned about my TV since it was a long ride to SF but they seemed very experienced and was able to get it safely to the destination. Unloading I appreciate that they ask me which room they want certain things in instead of just dumping everything in one room for me to have to move it again afterwards. They put my office things in the office and kitchen boxes in the kitchen etc... They also helped me install my TV on the wall to make my life easier! Couldnt recommend them enough!

I hired Jia Jie moving after a recommendation from a friend. They arrived over 20 minutes early and…read moreI wasn't ready at that point. The move was completed in a little under 4 hours from SF to Oakland. I paid the hourly rate + gas fee and decided to pay them the rounded up hourly rate as the tip. They kept pushing against that in person and also called me 5 minutes later to say I hadn't tipped enough and there was a minimum. This was not stated before hand and is also not listed anywhere on their yelp page or website. I have never experienced this before and considering their rates are high I was very frustrated with this customer service. My home was also left messy. Pieces of plastic and bits of debris were left on the floor and the plastic wrap used to protect items was not removed at my new home. Adding to hours of extra work. The tip harassment really pushed me over the edge. I wouldn't hire them again, which is unfortunate because their thoroughness in other areas was appreciated. I've recommended many friends to my old movers but they don't service this area. Customer service like this means no repeat business and no recommendation which is much more financial loss over time compared to a slightly higher tip. Maybe think about the outcome before you call your customers asking for more?

I utilized the services of a moving company called Dependable Movers all because I needed to…read moretransfer items from sf house to Oakland and because moving day is typically a stressful event, I was mentally prepared to be stressed and anxious during this experience; however, once again, Dependable Movers exceeded my initial expectations and made what is normally a very stressful experience very smooth for me. Reliability: They arrived at the agreed-upon time and did not provide me with a 3-hour timeframe or tell me that they would arrive some-time in the afternoon; they arrived exactly when they said they would and immediately commenced with their tasks without any standing around or slowing down. Communication: I was also impressed with how they communicated with me. Prior to the beginning of any moving activity, they provided me with a detailed explanation of what they would do with each item and how long it would take to complete, as well as what I could expect. There was no technical jargon or talking quickly while walking past me. Trustworthiness: There were no surprises; the final cost was exactly what they initially quoted me, and all of the furniture that was moved from the storage unit was delivered to my house without incurring any damage. All of the furniture was delivered without any scratches or marks of any kind.

My husband and I moved from the Peninsula to the East Bay a few months ago…read more A few months before the move I was looking for moving options and getting estimates and quotes, but between the AI and whoever was reaching out to me, it was excessive. I literally had to ask them to stop contacting me 2-3 times a day before I was ready to make a decision. Every week I would get a text with sad emojis saying they understood we went with someone else blah blah. That was a bit annoying, and almost prevented me from using them because I felt so much stress and pressure before we even were ready, but I had heard good things and saw such great reviews. I did my virtual estimate, and wanted it with packers and materials. We were moving about 55 miles away. The week prior to our moving date my husband had taken well over 60 boxes on his own and majority of the house was already packed. The only things not packed were part of the kitchen, our closets, and the beds needed to be broken down. I packed my bathroom on my own and my husband did his own as well. My husband broke down the couch, prior, and we had boxed most of the kitchen already. I just needed some help on the actual moving day because my husband had to work. I was planning to pack the food, because I read somewhere they didn't transport perishables but they offered to do it. I had already purchased quite a few moving boxes and packing materials that I had been using to pack. Four movers arrived on time around 8AM and immediately got to work. I had to leave to grab some stuff for our cats, and came back around 10:30AM and they had finished so much stuff. I was amazed. However, they broke things without disclosing it to me. I found a broken piece on the floor and asked about it and he was like "oh oopsie I broke it." And the item, while not expensive, could not be replaced and had sentimental value. He just didn't seem to care which really bothered me. This was my second red flag. I had finished packing my bathroom, and I'm not sure what happened for those next four hours but the speed at which they were packing or effectively moving things diminished drastically. Not to mention they very haphazardly and carelessly threw all of my perishables into boxes that were damp and smashed by the time we got to our new place. They took a few breaks, which of course they are entitled to, but by the time they managed to get to our actual apartment it was almost 5PM. They cited traffic, and other things for the delay, which fine, I get that. But when it came time to pay, it was almost $2K MORE that what we were quoted initially. My parents were helping us so my dad was absolutely outraged at the price discrepancy. We paid the bill, and as the lead guy was leaving he asked for a tip. I felt bad but I was tapped and couldn't afford it at the time. I had every intention of tipping them later in the week when I got paid, but as I was unpacking more boxes I realized we were charged for packing materials we didn't use, and many items I specifically asked to be packed with care, were packed very carelessly and some things were broken. I really hate leaving this review because I am sure these people are nice and helpful. They really missed the mark for us, and the lack of transparency and accuracy during the estimate impacted us pretty significantly. A few hundred dollars, maybe even $500 would have been fine. But quoting us one price and charging almost $2K more is a pretty significant oversight or fundamental issue with the estimate process. Had high hopes for them, but we were really let down by the entire experience. I'm sure they have been great for others, but with all the hiccups I can't say we were overall satisfied with the experience. No disrespect to the movers, it's a hard job. They should be more transparent about breaking things though, and should be more careful about PACKING items. Especially when that is part of the service being paid for.

I asked the managers to check their gps location for proof and they refused. My family tipped each of the 3 movers in cash additionally and bought them food as a thank you. This was done before we found out some of our items never arrived. As of recent, they have ignored further communication from me. Half service deserves half payment.

I know sometimes people think that moving companies take their time to milk the clock but NOT Jubel! Their pricing was fair, I truly appreciated the fact that after 4 hours they charge per the 15 minutes so you don't get charged for the full hour. The supervisor gentlemen (I don't know his name) was very nice and super helpful he directed the other gentlemen and really made sure everything was well taken care of. Last year, we hired them to move furniture and items very locally, no truck required. We had 2 movers for 2 hours and took advantage of the lower rates Mondays-Thursdays. Julio and his helper were fast but careful with our items. This time around, Chalo and his helper were efficient. There was a point that we thought it was taking them a bit long to make trips back and forth to the truck but at the end, we understood why when we saw how well the truck load was organized. Both moves involved stairs within our apartment and they tackled it quickly and without complaints. I didn't like that they charge for move supplies but luckily we had enough of our own moving blankets, tape, and shrink wrap. They don't charge double drive time like their competitors and only a 2-hour minimum. While Chalo was the lead, both of them split the work evenly and we never worried if we were getting our money's worth. Thank you Jubel Movers!
