Went here for Sunday brunch, and was really impressed. The chicken and waffles and crab cakes here were some of the best I've ever had! The chicken was crunchy with a little spice, and went perfectly with the sweet waffle. The crab cakes are made from lump crab meat, with hardly any filler at all, and came with two yummy sauces- a chipotle aioli and a mustard sauce. They also bring out fresh bread from the wood-fired oven to start the meal, which was delicious. The ambiance and staff of this restaurant warrant five stars. Very friendly and accommodating, and the interior and outdoor patio were modern and beautifully done. The food was okay. My partner and I ordered the lobster risotto which was pretty good. We also ordered one of the daily specials which was a braised scallop dish. It consisted of three very well made scallops....and that's it. It should definitely have been an appetizer as opposed to a special main entre. Overall a great dining experience. First off, the ambiance was nice & so were the the hostess & server. That is what we must have paid for bc our food came out cold, not warm, not hot, COLD. We had already waited about 45 minutes for a basic breakfast so we did not want to wait any longer. I also paid around $24 for just myself to have as many mimosas as I would like. I only got one bc it was so strong with alcohol, I could barely taste the orange juice. Great if you want to get drunk quickly. So I told the waitress but she still wanted to just charge for endless mimosas instead of the one drink that I drank 1/2 of. I will not be returning to this establishment. What a pleasant surprise in downtown Hammond! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and a great wine selection. This little hidden gem was a hit from start to finish. From the greeters outside to the bread pudding we had for dessert. This place is very nice and the decor seems like some places we've visited in much bigger cities. If you're a fan of crab cakes you definitely won't be disappointed with theirs. I had the prime rib and she went for the NY strip. Both were cooked to perfection and the sides were also very good! Have been trying to eat here for a year! When and if 4hey are open, it's impossible to get seated with the multitudes of "younger" crowd swarming the place. The hours are crazy, closed after 3 on Sundays, closed on Mondays. I gave up when I called and was told no reservations needed, showed up 20 min later to a full house and was asked by the clueless young lady if we had reservations. If you want to be a good place, keep doing what you do. If you want to be a great place, try to appeal to all people and be a little more accommodating. read more

My husband and I went to brunch with our parents after church. It was great! I had attempted to call and make a reservation the day before (the restaurant website suggested reservations for parties of 6 or more) but had to leave a message and no one returned my call/confirmed the reservation. Been here many times but today for Sunday brunch the service was extremely slow. Took 40 minutes to get food with the excuse that there was two large parties before us. Not a good excuse really, the expeditor should manage better, all restaurants deal with this and should be prepared. The server was very inattentive took him 30 min before the first contact after ordering and had to get his attention for drink refills every time, Also get larger glasses they are extremely small. Got the chicken and waffles and was extremely disappointed the waffles and syrup were stone cold. The chicken was hot but is was not proportional to the waffles. The chicken strip was nothing more than a 2-3 bite nugget and you got 4 pieces of waffle but only 3 pieces of chicken. The waffle was also chewy and dense. I really hope you aren't getting a big head and the quality and service is going downhill Will try again but if I don't get the service I have come to expect from one thirteen I will be looking for another place to go on the Northshore. Had my first experience at OneThirteen with a party of 10 for a birthday dinner on last night. The location and appearance of this establishment is definitely 5 star, however, the food and beverages not so much. Our server was Brandon, very polite guy but certainly not attentive. I was extremely skeptical at first because 7 of 10 guest with the party had sent their cocktails back to the bar. Needless to say, I understand. The drinks were diluted and the purées were disgusting. It took over an hour to get our food orders and once we received those dishes I could have collapsed. Grilled chicken pasta with little to no Alfredo sauce, hard sun dried tomatoes, and cold grilled chicken pieces. Over-priced and unsatisfying. Was not impressed on our first visit. Thought we were going to an "upscale" steakhouse and when I pulled into the parking lot it sounded like I was outside of a club. The music was louder than at my gym. I will say up front the service was good.for the most part. I ordered a salad and it was a meal in itself. The waitress was kind enough to bring another bowl so my husband and I could split it and it was still too much for either one of us to finish. Not to mention it was all lettuce/greens. It had 3 croutons, 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half and and 1/4 of a cucumber sliced and halved set on top. There were only 4 dressings to choose from and I didn't care for the champagne citrus vinaigrette so I played it safe and just got ranch. Our entrees came out almost immediately after the salad so we had to set them aside to eat our salad. I ordered the Hawaiian steak kabob and didn't eat it because I didn't care for the taste at all. My husband had the salmon and he liked his. We had crème brûlée for dessert and that was good but I ordered a latte with caramel ($6) and it came in a small coffee mug and was cold. They remade it and it came back in almost a tea cup sized "mug" with no caramel. We saw a few things on the lunch menu we thought we would like to try but they aren't offered for dinner. We won't be going back to try them though because I don't care to eat in a discotheque and the food is overpriced. (The filet was $53. Not even wagyu). read more

From the best Bloody Mary to the flatbreads, everything is creative, inventive and more importantly delicious. Special menu items are always also outstanding and allow is to try different food items while still being at our favorite place. Make reservations though, as they get packed and people want to hang out longer than usually. It's such a cool place it's hard not to want to hang out. We ordered to drinks at the bar, Moscow mules. Strong but flavors balanced very well. After we got seated, We had two apps- the scallops & the grilled artichokes. Both were very tasteful! Our main meals were the pecan crusted trout and fresh carrots and the filet tips with the rice pryamid. Again, very delish! Last but not least we shared the creams brûlée. Mmmmmm it was heaven! "OH, a somewhat maybe sort of replica of a restaurant in West Hollywood"? Dont think so... Then once one of the hostesses saw the look on the bartenders disgruntled face she yelled across the bar at him. SERVE HER. I ordered a watermelon mojito which he begrudgingly severed me which I sent back and I never send anything back but because of his hideous arrogant attitude it made me very uncomfortable, but I did because the drink sucked! I requested more of everything because it tasted like a watered down watermelon ice drink. He brought back the same nothing drink and charged me I think $20.00. I decided I didn't want to ever sit at that bar ever again as a single very fabulous and accomplished single 60 year woman who is scouting restaurant locations here in LA for Wolfgang Puck my dear friend of over 40 years....I know Hammond is not Beverly Hills nor New Orleans but I dined there a few months ago and a young sweet girl served me a cold steak....I hope you get your shit together. The setting is lovely but I'd give the food a D minus. the chicken and andouille gumbo had flavor but no chicken or andouille. The pasta carbonara included a few bits of prosciutto, no seasoning, and was barely lukewarm. GROSS AND UNSANITARY! Terrible, Terrible, Terrible May 16, 2021 I'll make this quick as I'm a poor typist. Over an hour and twenty minutes to receive our order- a hamburger and a salad when the restaurant was not busy at- 3:30 in the afternoon. While we waited we got to watch the bartender setting up the bar and see her reaching into a gallon glass jar multiple times, up to her wrist, to grab what appeared to be pickled okra with her bare hand and eat them. Additionally, she prepared a drink in volume, about a gallon, in an open rectangular plastic container. At the end of her preparation she stirred the mixture with a straw, leaned over the mixture so any liquid that might fall would fall in the mixture and pulled the straw thru her lips from one side of her mouth to the other. Not only Gross but how unsanitary can this and the previous action be? Needless to say we will never be back and I'm planning to notify the board of health. read more

Walking in we were seated right beside the bar.. not a bad place but we were driving so no real alcohol needed and there was a larger room with available seating...but SEC football was on and music was cool so it's all good. Good suggestions by waiter ... but then.... steak recommended but no interest in how I wanted it cooked, no refills on drinks and the night got louder and the bar crowd closer. I think the food would have been great but just overcooked for me. It was so loud I really didn't think about him not asking until I got my plate. Five of us went for the Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere and seating was pleasant. The table ordered a total of three appetizers one of which was the crabcakes that I ordered. There were two crabcakes which were nice sized with plenty of crabmeat and very little filler however the center of both was ICE COLD.... I sent them back and got replacements which were just warm in the center... The artichoke appetizer was OK but I probably wouldn't order it for myself. We also all shared the scallops which had a good flavor but one side was almost blackened while the other side barely had a sear. We decided not to send them back as it was completely cooked and not burnt. Between us for entrées we had the Louisiana omelette the waffles and the steak and eggs... The waffles and steak and eggs were pretty good and the omelette was tasty but really needed more filling... Overall I thought it was a little pricey for what we received.. read more

One thirteen is a pleasant addition to downtown Hammond. Everything from the service, to the food, to the atmosphere is on POINT! Let me elaborate a little on the atmosphere. It has a gorgeous middle eastern, glamorous vibe (or at least that is my interpretation) with plenty of seating and multiple lounging areas. There is also seating that allows you to view the kitchen, which is a nice addition. I think one of the best features of this restaurant is the piping hot, fresh flat bread that is served at every table. Carbs are definitely my weakness, and the flatbread here did not disappoint! This place is a little on the pricier end of restaurant, but it is understandable for all that is included with the experience. Also, if you come for brunch, there are many affordable options. As mentioned earlier, I am obsessed with this gem in downtown Hammond, and I will for sure be visiting it more often :) read more

Just finished my second visit to 113. The atmosphere is wonderful- very unique considering it is in downtown Hammond America. Sort of an Austin TX type vibe. Our waitresses have been very accommodating and professional! Was disappointed at our first visit that we reserved a table for two outside, but the host did not seem to be prepared for us. We ended up sitting at the end of a very large group table, which was okay. Our second visit, we arrived early and received our food right away. However, we waited over 30 minutes on the dessert we ordered to-go. When it arrived, the owner offered to remove the charge from our bill (we already paid) but we were already ready to just leave so we declined. Overall we enjoyed both our visits, we will go back. The spinach queso was not hot, tuna tataki lacked flavor, and the honey pecan shrimp was amazing. As for entrees not much to say... the truffle fries were overcooked and cold.
