First of all the parking is horrendous over here. I was driving around for a while to find parking.once you walk in you're greeted right away and they have a bar, claw machines, and tables for eating. The karaoke rooms were clean, cute, and nice. It had tambourines in there to play with as well. The rooms are a bit smaller maybe 4 people would be comfortable in there. I do believe they do have a bigger room as well. it is recommended to book a reservation ahead of time. It I've a bit loud in the I could hear the next room singing. I didn't like the karaoke set up. It's literally your own YouTube WITH ADS if you don't have YouTube premium. I could do this at home to be honest. I kind of expected a whole karaoke machine with the book to select a song but that was not it. The only reason you would come here is for food and not even the drinks. They do charge by the hour and if it's only 15 mins over you get charged for another hour. The drinks soju didn't do much but it was tasty. I tried the watermelon soju and it was a giant shareable slushie of soju. That slushie a spicy sweet wings I had was not a good pairing. I got a stomachache afterwards. The spicy sweet wings seemed boneless at first because they're such a huge piece but there was a small bone inside it(I didn't order boneless). They do give you a couple of side dishes like a mac and cheese coleslaw type thing and radish. The kimchi fries just seemed like a bunch of frozen fries heated up all thrown together with the kimchi toppings. I also got the cheese corn fondue that wasn't bad. The Korean wings with the sweet and spicy sauce were hands down the best wings I've ever had in my life. Not just the best Korean wings, the best wings ever, period. They were huge and super crispy. The sauce had the exact right balance of sweet and spicy, and the flavor was insane. Every bite was crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. I genuinely wish they weren't so expensive because I would come here all the time just for those wings and the soup. The soup with rice noodles (I think it was the Buckwheat soba) was also a 10 out of 10. It was warm, rich, and extremely flavorful. The soup was thick in the best way and the rice noodles soaked it up perfectly. It would for sure be my comfort food, it's one of those dishes that just hits exactly right when you're hungry. The ambiance is really nice. The private karaoke room felt cozy with colorful lights reflecting off the walls. It had that fun vibe that makes karaoke more enjoyable. The main area is modern and lively, with bright pink and purple lighting, glass refrigerators stocked with drinks, and decorative touches that make it feel energetic but still clean and organized. My friend hosted her 30th birthday (part 1) here at One Shot Pocha and we had a great time. We had around 15-20 people so we reserved a larger room (ended up in room 9) which is way in the back. The front area is so cute, I love how there's almost cubicle spaces for privacy in the main dining areas. The soju bottles are so cute as decor and the bar area is really nice. The staff was very friendly and managed our large party (and many many food and drink orders) exceptionally well. Alll the food was amazing; please note that some of the food is pre-made so if you have dietary concerns, you should communicate early and often about any ingredients in any of the dishes. The karaoke part was also super fun! It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect but we had a blast. Came here to karaoke for our Friendsgiving. We've heard a lot of great things so we were excited to finally check it out. We booked a room for eight people, and since it was a Friday night, the whole place was packed and super lively. There's tons of K-pop decor and fun lighting, so even if you weren't in the mood to party before walking in, you definitely will be once you're inside. The room we got was just the right size for 8 people and all our drinks and food - the music was bumpin and the disco light definitely added to the fun mood. Ordering food and drinks was easy with the push-button service, and the staff were always prompt and friendly. Everything we had -- chicken wings, tteokbokki, galbi, and even the banchan -- was delicious. It was so good we joked that we'd come back just to eat. After a long day, I decided to treat myself to my preferred KFC (Korean fried chicken) and tteok-beokki. Since it was just me dining, I got 5 wings with the soy garlic sauce. So crunchy!! The wings paired perfectly with the banchan side dishes and tteok-beokki. The tteok-beokki is a really good size especially if you come with a party of 3-4 people. The banchan was very good and one of the better kimchis I've had, and the corn cheese and ramen were solid. It's more family style so I would recommend coming here in a pair of 2 or with a party. But the soy garlic wings?! They were delicious. The texture, the flavor, everything about it was so good. I highly recommend them! The ambiance was really cool and it was just as if you walked right into a bar in Korea. This place is amazing! I have been going here for years and well over 5 seperate occasions including my wife's birthday party. This is my favorite kbbq in all of Houston area. They serve food well into the late hours making it a great late night dinner with friends and parties. They also play K-pop which is very nice as a K-pop listener. However, one caution thing I will note is price has significantly increased on the menu. Never judge a book by its cover! I say this because the plaza looks quite unassuming. But once you walk in, One Shot Pocha's upbeat and lively atmosphere is the first thing you'll notice. The place was packed! There were already plenty of people dining when I arrived (and even more by the time I left). It is quite spacious inside, with lots of tables. I didn't get the chance to look, but I believe there's an outdoor patio as well. The interior is nicely decorated, with soju cap bottles on the partitions, and cute LED signs hung throughout the restaurant. My friend and I ordered the corn cheese, kimchi bulgogi fries, tteokbokki, and half chicken tossed in Korean sweet and spicy sauce. I was impressed by the generous portion sizes. The corn cheese was solid! You can't go wrong with it. The kimchi bulgogi fries were tasty and came with A LOT of fries. The tteokbokki was okay. I found it a little bland and too sweet for my taste. The fried chicken, though, was my favorite! It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce was savory and sweet and not too spicy. Excellent service! What an amazing birthday I celebrated at One Shot Pocha. Everything was smooth from the minute I made the reservation, to the minute we arrived and was happily surprised about our room, to the last minute we were there. It was such a great experience and I wish I would've came back here again instead of trying another karaoke place which was a horrendous experience. And I've tried a bit of everything from the appetizers like chicken wings, seafood pancake, to the army stew and meats like bulgogi and short ribs. It's decent overall, nothing food wise that really stands out and comparable to some of the other spots along Long Point. What you are paying for is the Pocha experience.. Good atmosphere during the weekend, TVs playing Kpop videos and very lively ambiance overall.. The karaoke rooms are often busy with a queue. The watermelon soju is a crowd favorite and we've gone through beers to sojus to cocktails here..again sold options but to me still overpriced/overhyped if we are rating strictly on food. Service is very efficient ordering/pay via tablets. The parking lot can be packed so often may end up parking across the street or next door. Overall, they do a great job capturing the authentic pocha vibe.. It's fun, social, and energetic. The room was really spacious and comfy and could accommodate only it large group easily. We had a party of 9 and we were able to get seated promptly on a Friday evening around 7:30 pm without a reservation. The ambiance is set up like a Korean bar with TVs playing k pop and soju paraphernalia all over. The table has a button that you click whenever you are ready to order and the staff promptly comes over shortly after. We ordered a lot of food, and I would say that overall things were pretty good. The chicken wings were outstanding with a super crunchy batter and excellent sauce. The wings came with fried rice cake which added a nice touch. The Kimchi Bulgogi fries were also yummy with perfectly crispy fries and decent amount of meat and kimchi. The spicy rice cake was very bland with very sparse amounts of rice cake. The seafood pancake was just okay, and it had bell peppers in it which is a little strange in my opinion. The rice cake and sausage skewer was quite appetizing and I really enjoyed the pairing. The Army stew was good but nothing was special or outstanding about the dish. The black bean noodles were flavorful and the noodles were not overcooked. The tonkatsu was the worst I have ever had. The meat was cut in the wrong direction and it was very hard to chew. The flavor was quite bland as well. The spicy chicken feet were very well seasoned and the texture was very satisfying. Soy garlic is a good flavor, but this chicken was a little more on the sweet side versus an umami profile from the soy sauce. There's a decent coating of batter on the chicken that makes it crispy. Japchae- Default protein is beef. The noodles were good. Overall, another "sweet" dish. The banchan sides weren't too impressive if I'm being honest. We didn't ask for any refills... Now, the great surprise- they had that Squid Games drinking game! You will need to give your ID/license to borrow it for your soju drinking pleasure! I remember just two years ago I was hoping a good pocha would come to Houston and then all of a sudden we had quite a few open up all at the same time. I've been to a majority of them and will say most frequented one is one shot. It used to be hard to get a table on the weekends but it has gotten a little better. I would still call ahead of time or make a reservation though. I've had quite a bit of their food some of my favorites are: Wings Rose tteoboki Seafood pancake Rice balls Large army soup Bulgolgi fries: large portion One thing that I probably wouldn't order again would be the mackerel which was really fishy. Overall I really enjoy the food and it's a fun place to come with your friends. I believe the karaoke room requires a minimum spend of $200 an hour. Man, this place does not miss! I've stopped by here several times already and their fried chicken is fantastic. The interior has such a fun ambiance and captures the Korean nightlife well. For dinner we ordered Cold Buckwheat Noodles (Spicy) Marinated Grilled Ribs Wings (Soy Garlic and Korean Sweet and Spicy) Fried Dumplings (Chicken) All these options were great but as I mentioned earlier, their fried chicken is a must get! The exterior has that satisfying crunch that you can't get enough of. And the chicken is juicy and so flavorful from the sauce that they use. I also love how they throw in some fried rice cakes with the wings which have that chewy texture that's so addictive. What I love most about this place is that they have karaoke rooms surrounding the restaurant, so you can transfer the party to the karaoke rooms after you dine. I'd say the pork belly was a solid 8/10, the meat was bouncy and marinade wasn't too salty nor spicy. One Shot Pocha didn't have to shoot multiple times to get it right. It's been a bullseye ever since the day they've opened. They've successfully captured what I miss about the Korean nightlife scene on both coasts: delicious food, accommodating service, perfect ambiance, and a high quality noraebang experience. The pocha experience is definitely alive here. I thought I had stepped into a place from Flushing KTown or a noraebang spot on Wilshire in LA. They have the intimate lighting, KPop vibes, a loaded bar, hangup bar decor (tickets, photos, a bit of soju promo etc.) etc. The feel is important and they nailed it. I am very impressed with the food. Budaejiggae is on point, along with a very crunchy and hearty haemool pajun, crunchy mandoo, tasty soy garlic fried chicken, even a legit tteokboki, and quality japchae. Swallow it all down with some watermelon soju and maekeolli and it's a party. Getting fed well is a crucial part of the pocha experience. The dedicated noraebang room is such a treat. It's not a mega room but it's good enough for a solid amount of bodies in one room. The seating was comfy, ventilation was on point, and the sound system was bumpin. Naturally they go hard with the Ziller selection, which means everything is coded to that large Korean remote. I know not everyone is, but I am always down with it. Owner Jin and his team are excellent at what they do. They have done such a bangup job that I wouldn't hesitate to head up to Spring Branch for a true Korean night experience. read more

Our group of friends has been overdue for a karaoke night and Shveta A. knew just the place to take us! We set a time and date early in the week so I was easily able to reach out on Instagram to reserve a medium room - they got back to me quickly to confirm the booking, and when we rolled up Saturday night we were promptly brought back to our private karaoke room/booth, already set up with plates/utensils/water pitchers and YouTube TV connection instructions. We were super hungry so we aimed to put in our order early and get a few songs in before dinner; little did we know our food would arrive in short order, and we quickly dropped our mics to devour the saucy, crispy fried chicken, the sweet, buttery corn cheese, and the savory, classic jajangmyeon. We additionally split the refreshing watermelon soju - it's sweet, juicy, and DANGEROUS cause you can't taste the alcohol at all! The complimentary banchan were welcome additions, though I did wish we had a plate of traditional napa kimchi too. We took turns belting into the mic and licking our fingers clean for the remainder of our two-hour block, and when the time came to pay our check, we were so reluctant to leave (though at least in good spirits and full bullies). Their ongoing promotion waives the hourly room fee after hitting spending minimums on food and drinks ($100/hr for small and medium, $200/hr for large), which is a great value proposition! We ordered: - Corn cheese - Sotteok sotteok - Marinated grilled ribs - Japchae - Rose tteokbokki - Korean sweet & extra spicy wings (5 pcs) The rose tteokbokki wasn't my favorite. It had a very strong cheese flavor that overpowered everything else. But I did like that it came with so much noodles, tteokbokki, fish cakes, sausage, and quail eggs. The japchae also wasn't the best. It was pretty bland. I do remember it being better when I ordered it in the past though, so maybe it was just an off day. Everything else was very good! The marinated grilled ribs were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The korean sweet & extra spicy wings were crispy, juicy, and indeed extra spicy! We got seated in a nice small room and was immediately greeted and assisted by our server, who showed us how to us the TV. It's basically just AirPlay, YouTube from your phone. If you need help, you press this doorbell thing on the wall. Great sound system and they clean their mic's (it has a cover) which is a plus. They don't allow outside drinks so don't even try. We got the Korean fried chicken and it was THE best fried chicken I've ever had. Pretty surprised for bar food. It was coated well with just the to go r amount of sauce and fried to perfection. My friends and I needed somewhere to catch up at 10pm, and very few establishments provide a high quality restaurant/bar combo at those hours on a Wednesday night. Dining here feels like the closest I'll get to Korea until I actually visit. The interior is decked out in Korean pop culture with neon lights, music videos, and Soju caps+posters hung everywhere. Although the atmosphere was lively, it wasn't overbearingly loud. Service was quick with immediate seating and rapid response to the call button. In my opinion, any variant of the Korean fried chicken is a must-order. The menu lists sizes such as "whole" or "half", but gets served as boneless wings either way. My group opted for the sweet and spicy sauce, but I could only taste the sweet aspect. Still tasty nonetheless. 4.5/5. Kimchi Bulgogi Fries - very tasty when combined with the bulgogi and mayo, but there wasn't enough bulgogi relative to the amount of fries. About 1/2 of the fries had mayo and scallions but no bulgogi. 4/5. Corn cheese - how they manage to turn a simple looking dish like this into a delicacy is beyond me. The place is split up into two sections. There's a general dining area with lots of smaller boots, but a few bigger table sprinkled throughout and then in the corner, our karaoke booth that you can reserve and pay a surcharge to sing and eat in. We did not do karaoke here unfortunately but we definitely want to check this place out again to do karaoke. One Shot Pocha has been my favorite pocha spot for a long time standing, and after trying out other spots in Houston, it still reigns supreme. It has the vibes down to the tee. The low lighting and neon lights, music is a a perfect volume where you don't have to yell to hear each other but still a good vibe, the perfectly cold water in those Korean pitchers, the well designed decor, everything! I also love the booths here, they are intimate yet not too closed off at the same time. It's always a good time at One Shot. For this visit we ordered Corn Cheese, Kimchi Bulgogi Fries, and Whole Fried Chicken in the Sweet & Extra Spicy Sauce. Each dish comes out in generous portions. My all time favorite is the corn cheese. It's sweet and so cheesy that you get a cheese pull every time you grab a scoop. We didn't drink this time, but when you have the chance, try out the Whole Watermelon and Whole Pineapple Sojus. They are a MUST! One Shot Pocha will remain at the top spot for me. And given how busy it is on weekends and having a good amount of people super late on weekdays is a testament to how good they are. Parking will be tricky when they are super packed, but they have a big lot behind the building for additional spots. read more

Is the best pocha in town, great service amazing food, if you're looking to spend a good night with your friends, celebrate your birthday or just get some drinks this is the best place to spend your money! And not only that but they also have karaoke rooms, so if you and your friends like singing while drinking don't think it twice and book that karaoke room NOW! Friends and I booked a private Karaoke room for the evening. It was SO MUCH FUN!! The room itself was nice and comfortable. The food was hands down some of the best I've had in a while and their drink selection was amazing. The service was quick but spectacular. Highly recommend trying this place out. read more

What a busy pocha restaurant! They get super packed for dinner time, especially on the weekends! Get here early because otherwise, there will be a wait. But you just have to walk in and add your name to the list on the clipboard to be called, once a table opens up. On a busy night, expect at least a 30 minute wait. The atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant is similar to any pocha restaurant, loud music, good company, and delicious foods and drinks. Loved their corn cheese with chicken and braised pork belly (bossam). Food came out fast and fresh. Service was helpful and friendly. read more

Maybe because I'm from LA I've had better Korean food their sweet and sour pork wasn't even authentic but I do recommend their cheese and corn that was fire, seafood pancake was 4/10 but their fried chicken is ok just not as good as where I'm from but can't complain they even have a karaoke area read more

I was staying near this place for a little while as I was trying to find another apartment to relocate to. And after a late shift at work, I was in the mood for rice and saw this place on Yelp so I thought I'd give it a try!!! This place wasn't too far from the Hotel that I was staying at, at the time...and I figured that it was a nice alternative to eating fast food take out. So I went ahead and drove to this place at around 11:00pm. I finished work around 10:45pm and I know that the Deny's restaurant across from the extended stay hotel did not offer any Asian dishes with rice... As I was following Google maps, it brought me into like a suburbs area and initially I thought this was going to be on the side of a main road or free way...but no, it was kinda tucked away in a very small area where there were other Asian type establishments. It was definitely one of if not the only establishment that was open thst night I came in to try the place out and remember that there was some type of Korean BBQ place that was in the same parking lot but on the opposite end of One Shot Pocha. I noticed that it was a bit busy and after walking in, it was packed!! I think it was a Thursday or Friday night that I went and it was packed!! I ended up sitting at the bar and decided to make a take out order. The staff were super nice and super patient. They were even kind enough to give a few of their recommendations as far as my to go food order, which was super nice!!! Anyway, this place is definitely more of a hip place to dine and drink at. But it was worth the time to come and check out!!! I didn't save any of my food pictures, but I do remember getting the pork belly and rice as well as the Korean Fired Chicken!!! My love for Korean food is never ending and my best friend took me here on a weekend. I was in awww, when I entered. Like literally, the ambiance made me feel like I'm in a k-drama. Then we ordered kimchi pancakes, soju, and a bunch of food. The taste is amazing and we had a great time. Definitely try this out if you love Korean food. The only downside I felt was the area wasn't too safe, it looked shady but maybe because i personally don't like it. Other than that, once we entered inside, it was just perfect. read more

The omurice had a very homey taste to it. The kimchi fries were LOADED. Everything we had was very filling. Especially for the price. We felt very welcomed by the staff and would love to come again. read more
