I've had my cleaning done here for several years. They also provide alterations and do a great job. There's a small fitting room to try them on and get measured. Every single time I show up to pick up my clothes, they're given to me with a smile. As a customer, I feel appreciated and that I receive good customer service. I recommend One Hour Cleaners and give them 5 stars!! They're right at Jackson and McKee near 680, behind McDonalds and in the same lot as 24 Hour Fitness. Misleading name -- not what I expected I came in on a Thursday to drop off shirts for laundry and a pair of slacks for dry cleaning before the weekend. After waiting while the owner helped another customer, he spent time inspecting my clothes -- including puzzling over a coffee stain like he'd never seen one before, telling me he couldn't be sure cleaning would remove it. Then he informed me my clothes wouldn't be ready until the following Wednesday. When I asked about Saturday pickup, he said they only do laundry on Wednesdays. He did offer to dry clean my shirts for $8.95 each if I wanted them sooner -- which seemed like an upsell rather than a solution. Nothing on the sign, website, or in the store indicated this limitation before I walked in. "One Hour Cleaners" implies quick turnaround -- not a once-a-week laundry schedule with uncertain results on common stains and pressure to upgrade to pricier services. I took my clothes back and left. If you need clothes done before the weekend, look elsewhere. read more

Upon arrival I was met by a rude old Mexican man who didn't have my items ready. I asked him to just cancel the service and give me my suit and he wouldn't give me my clothing. Warning!!!!! I altered three pants to make them shorter, they charged me 42$ and give me a small yellow receipt on Wednesday. I was told to pick them up on Friday. I came on Friday, they said I didn't pay yet and charged me another 42$. That is how they do business, charge you twice if you are a new customer! Better never go there! if you go, read your receipt carefully or they will just say you didn't pay yet and charge you another time. I noticed other people pay after clothes fixed on that Friday and wondered why charged me the first day (Wednesday)before anything done yet! So, be careful! they cheat on new customers! read more

It's unfortunate I have to write this review but I feel it's earned do to the lack of professionalism I was handled with. I walked in to see if I could get same day service at about 9:30 am and the woman (she was very sweet) at the front ask what time I would like to pick my clothes up. I reply asap maybe 1 or 2pm. She speaks to her husband who comes out the back, unprovoked may I add, and he says 5-6pm is the earliest with the nastiest uncalled for attitude. In my head I'm thinking, "she asked me, why are you upset." I then tell him I'm going to step outside and make a phone call to see if the other cleaners can do it sooner, if not I'll leave them and if I make it back in time I'll get them. He blows up telling me that he has enough work and doesn't even want to do it anymore and basically throws me out while verbally berating me until I leave. He lucky on that day I was being cool, but today I got time. Side note, the other cleaner I ended up going to said she loves that place because they always send business to her because of how he treats his customers. Lol read more

Be aware of this shop.... They will not do what they said they can do. I came her to get some keys done... after an hour the keys that I already paid were still not done. I needed 15 of them. The guy told me to come back another hour..... what this person failed to recognize was time is money... Shop is dated and not organized. Parking area is not the safe. Many panhandlers... I like this place a lot. It is really close to my house and they are open on Sat. I work at a bank so everyday I get out at 530. This place does not close until 7pm on weekdays so I am able to pick up my clothes on my way home. Dry cleaning is a bit pricey like $4 a shirt, but to hem pants is only $8. I've had people try to charge me $25 CRAZY. It is a very small place, but they do good work. The lady at the front counter is also always very friendly. I have been using this cleaners/alteration business for several years. They have nice front employees that greet you. I usually have them alter my uniform pants and they always do a fantastic job. The asian simstresses are amazing! If I dont know what length and seam I need, they have me try it on and they help measure it so it fits perfectly on me. They have reasonable pricing and would recommend them. I have never had an issue with them. read more

Quick Summary: 1-hr seems a bit a stretch but I was able to get it in time. So they're called one-hour cleaners but when I went to drop off, I asked for 1-hr service but he was suggesting same day (end of day) service. I pressed and got for 2pm (I had an evening photoshoot and clean shirts were a must!) It's a little cheaper if you pick up after 3pm... wonder how much it is for truly 1 hr service. All in all... what can you say... I got my clothes back and on time and they were in good condition. This is hands down the best cleaners ive been to almost every cleaners in san jose and nothing but disappointment. Ive been to places that couldent get certain stains off and made me mad because im paying a lot to get it cleaned but still having a stain? Made me mad. I over heard about the one hour cleaners from a co worker heard they can get any stain off took my jersey ther at 9 in the mornimg it was ready by 4. Looked better then new ive never been to any other cleaners since then hands down the best cleaners. The service there is amazing the lady in the front is sooo sweet she always gives ice cream and candy to my son lol he seems to like her. Over all I recomend anyone to give this cleaners a shot. Dropped off and picked up my dry cleaning and it was super awesome. Fries sh service and items delivered as processes hidden near the new-ish Phat Tri restaurant and Chavez market. The same gentleman was there when we dropped off the other day and he was as friendly as ever. The business looks like it's seen better days but if you take care of our uniforms and the price is right...no judgement here. $9.75 for a uniform (pant/blouse) set and $4.75 for an additional par of pants? I've always come here to get my stuff dry cleaned (dresses, dress pants, blouses, suits and even a comforter) and they've never done me wrong. Recently, I brought a couple pairs of dress pants in for dry cleaning and it was about $5/pants. I came 1/2 an hour before my promised pick up time and they were able to get them ready for me. I've tried their alterations only to get regular hem and they did a good job ($8 for the alterations). The lady at the front is very friendly and welcoming. Note, it was their 25 year anniversary today and they gave out mints with your items. If a place has been around for 25 years they must be doing something right. Affordable and friendly service. I liked this place at first but won't be coming here again. I dropped off my boyfriend's suit along with a dress to wear for a wedding on a Thursday afternoon and was asked when I would like to pick it up. "Saturday?" the woman asked. I said "Sure. Saturday works for me." She told me my stuff would be ready by 5pm Saturday. I come in that Saturday at 6pm. The young girl at the counter asked what I had brought. I told her that I had dropped off a suit and dress. She starts asking me what color my dress was. Did they lose it or something, I thought. "Can you come back later? Your dress isn't ready." I nicely tell her that it was supposed to be ready by 5pm and that it was 6:00 (they close at 7). She tells me in a rude tone that I can pick up the dress on Monday since they are closed on Sunday. I tell her that the whole point of me dropping it off a few days prior was so that I can pick it up on Saturday and that I needed it for a wedding the next day. She continues being rude then asked again about Monday. Wth? Apparently she didn't hear that I needed it for the next day. I tell her AGAIN, then she tells me to come back in 1/2 an hour. I was not happy. I had to be somewhere and had errands to run as well and now everything was being pushed back. There was nothing I could do, so I said I would be back in 1/2 an hour and walked over to Kohl's to kill time. I leave Kohl's and walk back into the cleaners at 6:30 sharp. The rude girl tells me "Your dress isn't ready still. They need to iron it. It's going to be another 5-7 minutes." WOW...I was so pissed. While the name one hour cleaners is a bit of a misnomer, this company came through when I really needed them. They got the job done well. I got a pair of pants and a shirt dry cleaned for less then 20$ in less than one full day (in before 12 and out by 6 on the same day). The two ladies working the front desk were very kind and helpful and welcomed me into the store right as I entered. It was a little odd seeing a travel agent sharing the store front, but I got over it and I am sure so will you. Great service, kind people, reasonably priced. You can't go wrong. read more

I have to disagree with the few bad reviews posted I have nothing but positive things to say about this facility and family. I absolutely love the dry cleaners and always recommend it to everyone! I am a San Jose native and tried MANY other dry cleaners before I came across this one. I have been with them for many years now, and I refuse to take my clothes anywhere else. I would rather drive the extra 16 miles . It looks like an older facility when u walk in but has a state of the art dry cleaning machine that's "ECO FRIENDLY" I got to see it! My whole family has been going there for years also. One of my aunts drives from Gilroy every other week because she refuses to give her local dry cleaners a second chance after they messed up her clothes. The lady in the front Raquel is super sweet , the owner Adolfo is very nice also, their son also works there. Furthermore, this location cleans just about ANYTHING from laundry shirts, to suits to leather, carpets , curtains, comforters, wedding gowns etc. They do alterations also for cheap, my jeans I got cut shorter where only $7 or $8 same day (they charge $10-12 by where I live) Moreover, they have also been life savers many times for me. I've had clothes dry cleaned last minute for weddings, parties etc, and ready for pick up within hours! As long as you drop it off in the morning you can have it back the same day!!!! They open Mon -Sat. There is absolutely NO other dry cleaners in town that will do that , ANYWHERE , I checked. I even met a customer that brings his clothes all the way from San Francisco!!! I absolutely recommend it!! They are very experienced and professional. Bottom line Im sure you can find cheaper dry cleaners but you wont get the quality. Oh and yes you may have a little wait sometimes not usually but if you do its because they are the best in they're business and many people know this. As for some of the bad reviews .. totally misleading they don't advertise anywhere " $2.50 for dry cleaning". There are "laundry shirts for $1.50 which is way different from a dry cleaning dress , pants etc and the person who says they had "already paid" but hed to "repay again" their hard copy is a copy of your receipt so even if you lose your receipt they will have a record of it, thats why they ask for your phone number also to help find your corresponding order. And when they ask "what your garment looks like" its not because they "lost it " its because if your order is not ready they have to search through the hundreds of clothes that have a tiny small pin attached to it with your order number. So if you can describe it , it makes the whole process much more efficient while searching. :) read more

This place is awesome! It's a small family owned business that strives to provide quality work. My whole family has been going there for years and we seem to be happy. They have late hours and are open Saturdays. The person who does the alterations is great too. I take my designer jeans to get hemmed there and they do a fabulous job! I have heard horror stories from my friends about their jeans getting lost, misplaced, or destroyed. I wouldn't trust another place with my jeans. I used to REALLY like this place. They always got any stains out, even though it was a little bit more pricey than drycleaners in the area. Then...I took my favorite dress here. This thing fit me like a GLOVE...absolutely perfect fitting and I paid a lot for it. I dropped it off for drycleaning here and didn't touch it. A couple of months later, I took it out of my closet and I went to wear it...and.....tight?! It looked like it was a size too small! Originally I thought maybe I just gained a few pounds or forgot how well it fit, but THEN I took a pair of pants which were very comfortably loose for drycleaning and when I got them back, they were tight too! It looked like they had been shrunk to a size smaller! I'm extremely disappointed. The whole point of having someone dryclean your clothes is so that they don't shrink and get all messed up. I now am sitting in the dress praying it will stretch back to its perfect fit...I doubt it and I definitely won't be going back here again. If you just have something loose fitting and bought at H&M or forever then sure, go here. Otherwise anything you paid some dinero for and want to keep perfect...avoid at ALL COSTS! read more

The other staff members are also polite. Definitely will be coming back. You have the option to prepay or pay on the pick up date. HORRIBLE PLACE, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER... I took a dress I was going to wear for my baby shower for alteration, it was too LONG.I am 8 months pregnant. The Mexican lady at the register was really nice, but the alteration lady (Vietnamese woman, I wish I know her name) gives HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I spoke to both of them and I was told the price. I agreed and I tried on the dress as I was told, so I told the Vietnamese girl I was ready. She didn't even bother to turn around, she was facing to the street. She said "fold it yourself, fold how much you want me to cut"... the Mexican lady said "she's pregnant" "call (a guy's name) to do it" she didn't even care and said "it's okay, she can do it herself. I'm eating"... (she wasn't eating when she told me to try it on) I got mad and said forget it!!!!! I turned around to change my clothes n she said "honey, come here I can help you" I just ignored her. The Mexican lady apologized, wasn't her fault. The Vietnamese lady didn't even care she had more customers there. I wasn't able to fold the dress myself as she wanted me too. HELLOOOOO I'M PREGNANT n she knew. I have been coming in for 3 years and they always did a good job. Until one of my shirts was stained and they couldn't get it out. I didn't recall staining the shirt but ok no problem. I'll buy a new one. Then it happened again! This time on a very expensive shirt same stain same place. How could I have done this?? I can't believe it. That's a steep price. That's an average of $6.73 a piece to get dry clean. I thought it was $2.50 as they advertise but I was wrong. I am never going to this place again. Honestly they don't even deserve the one star. We went to get my clothes clean. The old guy recommended that one of my shirts are really nice material, so I should get it dry cleaned instead of laundry. I agreed. When I came home all of my buttons were flimsy and broke off. It happened to two of my shirts. If it was one or two buttons it would be fine. I came back to tell them to fix it, but they said they needed to charge 10 dollars on something they broke. The lady and the man kept on saying that it was the machine. It was their machine that broke and ruined the materials of my nice shirt. Yet they had to charge 10 dollars. I DON'T RECOMMEND TO GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR SHIRTS TO BE BROKEN AND MESSED UP. Also their price is high compared to others around the area which is 2-3 dollars per shirt for dry clean. Trying out dry cleaners in our new neighborhood and this was recommend in getting out tough stains and working on delicate fabrics so I thought a launder and press of my shirts would be a breeze. Apparently not. I asked for VERY HEAVY STARCH, as in stand up by itself, the shirts I picked up today are soft and pliable AND they charged $4.75 per shirt!! Horrible place. I just left this "one hour" cleaners and I am never going back. I go in today to pick up my garments, which I paid for when I dropped them off. They say they have no record of me paying ( I paid cash) and denied giving me my clothes until I repaid. So there we are, their word against mine. They basically said I was lying and wouldn't even concider it was a mistake on their part. Bad management. My fault in this, was loosing my receipt and assuming this little shop knew what they were doing. (THEY DONT). With no receipt I couldn't prove much. I didn't think I would need to. We have been going to this dry cleaner for 10+ years. They aren't the cheapest for shirt laundry but you definitely get your money's worth. They do their cleaning in house. Recently we took in our daughter's wedding dress to be cleaned. It was hand made with silk charmuese, rayon, silk organza and a bustier foundation with lots of spiral steel boning. The dress was drug through a forest, had raspberry stains, red wine stains as well as food stains. I thought the dress was ruined! I asked them if they could get the stains out and if not what colors would do the best for dying. Since we had all the time in the world to wait, the owner asked if he could keep it for awhile, such as over 6 weeks. We said sure. After 2 months I started to worry the dress had a fatal flaw during the cleaning process as I hadn't been notified to pick it up. After calling and another month or so I was told to come pick it up. The dress was perfect! At this point, I don't care what the delay was caused from, though the owner did say he had to clean it little by little so not to harm the fabric. I'm just a thrilled customer as I had put over 225 hours into making the dress and it looks as good as when I made it. I elected to do the repairs to the dress so I cannot rate them on their sewing service. read more
