Rosie was who I was in communication with and she was so helpful and sweet and always had a quick response time which I really appreciated. We felt like they were affordable and we were able to get scheduled when we needed to, even though they were booked and had to switch some things around. The past winter rains created water seepage along the back of our house and subsequent mold damage. The mold in the sauna was so bad we decided to scrap it and remodel to a workout area. One-hat did an outstanding job from deep trench work to reseal the back retaining wall from leaking, mold remediation, sauna removal to rebuilding everything. Best work I've ever had done in my house! We've done several remodels and have had the worst luck with contractors to say the least! Reached out to Bryan at One Hat Construction and he immediately reached out gave me an honest quote and was able to fit my tile repair within the next day or two. Demo of my bathroom floor was done Friday, installation was done Monday and job was finished on Tuesday morning. His guys working for him are extremely clean didn't leave any mess and were very professional. From the first step of contacting Bryan to having this project finished, I can truly say he is the most professional and responsive person in the construction industry I have worked with yet. My project was about a 3 day drywall and carpet repair post water-damage, and with many companies you get pushed aside for bigger ones, countless delays and feel you're begging for your work to happen with no-shows etc. Not the case with this company! Bryan communicated incredibly fast to any questions or concerns I had, let me know when people were coming, followed up with photos and the work was done each day as expected. I didn't even know that was a possibility after experiences I've had. I had a couple small issues with workmanship (baseboard was sloppy) and his guys fixed it the next day. One Hat construction is not a reputable vendor. I would not recommend them because of their dishonesty. Brian Velasquez hired a plumber Leo Espana (Quality Plumbing) to fix a water leak without authorization by our adjuster nor did he provide a quote prior to beginning and completing the repair. Brian withheld the invoice/report until the bill was paid unknown to us until February 12, 2024. The water leak mitigation has been stalled for 35 days. We had our main sewer line clogged- I called around and got a few estimates but one hat construction was the best price and they were able to come out quickly. Bryan gave me a few options which was great. Luckily the part of the line that was broken was not under the city sidewalk- but they would have covered the permits with the city if it was needed (that was a relief to know they would have handled everything) Our home is very old and I chose to have the main line re lined due to tree roots.
