UPDATE: After posting my initial review (see below), Yaz from Saraay Remodeling LLC responded by threatening legal action if I did not remove it. I clarified that I am within my rights to share my honest experience and offered to update the review if the work was completed to our satisfaction. However, rather than accepting this offer, Yaz escalated his response by threatening to file a mechanic's lien on our property and issuing an arbitrary invoice and demanding payment. We have since filed a complaint with the California State Licensing Board, which will be investigating the matter further. I am writing to share my experience with Yaz at Saraay Remodeling regarding a home renovation project that began in Nov 2023. Initially, we were optimistic about the renovations; however, the project has faced significant delays, quality issues, and inadequate communication. We entered into a contract with an estimated completion date of mid-Jan 2024. As of Nov 2024, the project remains unfinished, and we have received no clear timeline or accountability for the delays. This level of project management is troubling, especially given that what was originally a two-month project is now nearing a year in duration, and still without a completion timeline. Communication has been insufficient throughout the entire process, particularly after Yaz received his payments. We have encountered more than 20 instances of uncommunicated worker absences, resulting in a lack of clarity regarding project progress and timelines. This situation has led to significant time lost waiting for workers who did not arrive, as well as numerous rescheduling efforts that only led to further no-shows. This lack of respect for our time has been both frustrating and inefficient. Workers have often arrived unprepared, lacking necessary tools and materials, which has further contributed to delays. There have been instances of workers using our personal tools without permission, resulting in damaged or missing items. The quality of the work performed has also been unsatisfactory. For example, we encountered HVAC issues that led to a ceiling collapse, 85" TV fell off the wall because the mount was not on a stud, and multiple attempts to complete bathroom renovations were required due to poor execution. If the work had been done correctly the first time, there would not have been a need for repeated fixes throughout our kitchen, walk-in closet, primary bedroom, primary bathroom, and guest bedroom--essentially, nearly every room that was remodeled. Furthermore, there has been damage to our home from negligence, including scratches and stains that could have been avoided with proper precautions. When we raised concerns with Yaz, his response was dismissive, suggesting a lack of accountability for his subcontractors. Financially, the arrangement was complicated. Upon Yaz's recommendation, we took out multiple home improvement loans (originated by him) to fund the project. Despite paying the full contract amount, the work has stalled, and Yaz continues to request additional funds even though the project has not been completed. Lastly, the lack of basic amenities (portable restroom) for workers resulted in them using our yard as a restroom for an extended period, which is entirely unprofessional, not to mention finding empty beer bottles in our yard and garbage cans. They also left trash after the demolition in our yard for weeks, and removed it after multiple requests. The uncertainty surrounding the completion timeline has created a constant state of stress and frustration, especially after our baby was born. The renovation was supposed to have been completed 6 months before the birth of our child. We have been unable to fully settle into our home, as key areas remain unfinished. This has disrupted our daily routines and made it challenging to host family and friends. Additionally, the frequent need to reschedule work due to uncommunicated worker absences has forced us to rearrange our personal and professional commitments. Many times, we prepared our home and were ready for their arrival, only to find that no one showed up to complete the necessary tasks. This not only wasted our time but also led to feelings of resentment and disappointment. Moreover, the ongoing construction and associated mess have made our living environment less comfortable and less enjoyable. We've had to navigate around tools, materials, and debris, which has added to our daily stress. Overall, the cumulative effect of these delays has been a profound disruption to our sense of home, peace, and well-being. In conclusion, I would not recommend Yaz at Saraay Remodeling for home renovations. The inability to fulfill contractual obligations and maintain professional standards has caused significant frustration. read more

My kitchen remodel started with Subhi coming to my house and giving me a bid. We discussed what my wife and I wanted and he gave us a good price, lower than any of the other bids I had gotten. The finished kitchen looks amazing thanks to Eric Cerda who brought in his highly skilled workers. Eric was the lead man on the job and he kept it flowing smoothly. Every step of the way I was impressed with the quality of their work. Subhi did a good job of making sure that we got exactly what we wanted as far as the appliances, flooring, counter tops, lighting and cabinets were concerned. He sent us to many different places to see in person the products that they would install. Eric made sure that everything was done to our complete satisfaction. Subhi got us financing with a low rate. I would recommend Saraay remodeling if you have a project that you want a great company to do the work. I've search so many roofers and the one that struck me most is the Saraay Remodeling LLC. So I hired them, I was not feeling good the first day when two workers came over and just went to the roof, maybe spent 2 hours, then left. The following day, 2 or 3 workers came again delivering materials and spent maybe 3 hours to unload and left again. I called Yaz and and asked him how can these workers finish the job by working only few hours I complained to him, but his answer was , no worry my friend you will be happy when you see your roof done. Third day, they came early like 7 a.m. and start working, so fast that I could not imagine, they were working, with so much teamwork and very happy. I admired them tremendously.
