I was really pleased with his thoroughness and his ability to adapt to certain situations specific to my build. Nelson makes daily site visits. He has a great eye for small details and can pick a room apart. His crew is quick to respond to issues he spots during the build. Nelson is an honest and sincere business man. While the work was in process we lived in AIRBRB unit so it was important to complete the work before our insurance for lodging ran out. Despite having to stop work while emergent work related to sewer lines was completed, they stayed on schedule several times working weekends. When we started, we only knew what we didn't like about our current kitchen. Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. They used a spray paint gun on my patio and got paint all over my kitchen windows and contaminated my family's garden. Owner makes excuses and lies. Crooked door trim. They left baseboards out in the rain overnight and installed them. They purchased the wrong swinging door and hacked away to make it fit rather than purchasing the correct door. They damaged doors and painted over them. I will be following up with the lawsuit information. Stay away!!!!! You're been warned
