Called Alex to see about repairing some water damage and renovating bathrooms in University City. He was prompt with his response and worked with me on some design solutions to modernize the bathroom and fixtures. After beginning the work, Alex found issues with the bathroom ventilation that was hidden above the ceiling. He quickly developed a fix for the problem and was able to incorporate it into the work without impacting the schedule. Alex and his team did a great job on time and on budget. I really appreciate how he kept me informed on each stage of the work and his crew did a phenomenal job. I recommend him highly. read more

I had an excellent experience with Alex and Daniel from AB Home Repairs. I had been wanting to change out my enameled cast iron kitchen sink. I thought about re-enameling it. But I wanted a single bowl. I also loved the undermount but I preferred a drop-in sink for easier maintenance. My undermount sink, however, was expoxied onto the granite and wedged on top of plywood. No clips to hold it in place. In other words, it was built in. Changing out the granite was not an option. I met the contractor Alex from AB Home Repairs. He was patient and confident. He came over and told me what he could and could not do. We went to Home Depot right after and got my new sink. He and his brother Daniel came the next morning and changed out the sink and the pipes underneath. I met him on Friday and he replaced my sink less than 24 hrs later on Saturday. And my new sink is amazing. I couldn't be happier. It was quite a challenge and we agreed to increase the price a little more than we agreed due to the difficulty of the project (which is understandable! Cutting out a heavy, thick cast iron sink while being gentle to not break the granite is no joke) Alex and Daniel were so respectful and personable. I felt like I was talking to trusted friends. Alex is also very detailed and considers his work as "art". I felt relief knowing that he and his brother would put in great care to this project. I also have a 1-year warranty for their workmanship. He encouraged me to call with any issues as they take great pride in their work. Alex is licensed, insured, and bonded (I checked). He owns his business and does not subcontract out. He just works with his brother (his business card is in the pics) I will definitely be calling on them for any future projects in my home. Thank you guys! read more

Finding a contractor you can actually trust is rare, but Alex from AB Home Repairs is the real deal. I had a significant mold issue in my kitchen and laundry room walls caused by a long-term leak from an upstairs bathroom. Since it had been building up for a year, it looked pretty bad and was honestly overwhelming. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and walked me through exactly what needed to be done. His attention to detail was awesome--he didn't just fix the surface; he made sure everything was handled correctly. If you want someone who actually knows their craft and cares about the quality of the work, call Alex. read more

So had another licensed contractor reviewed the job that Alex did, turns out Alex used the wrong duct for the vent, and the charge is more than it suppose to. Also, he did horrible work in my friend's house, completed incorrect protocol when deal with mod. He had fan to blow the mod everywhere in the house. He pretend know how to deal with mod when he actually does not. Not recommended at all. read more

I've used Alex and his team for a couple of urgent repairs, and they were great both times. They fixed my fence right away, which helped me settle an HOA issue, and later came out for an unexpected bathroom leak and handled it quickly. They showed up on time, explained what needed to be done, and got the work finished fast. Very professional, dependable, easy to talk to and reasonably priced. Highly recommended! read more

Alex and his team replaced a sliding glass door for me and did an amazing job. The work was all done right the first time and all done in one day as promised. AB Home Repairs - New walkway, cement all around the porch and of course the beautiful porch were all done by AB Home Repairs. - General Contractors Near Me - Chula Vista, California

I renovated my house and was actively involved through the process, so I interacted with many contractors. Most of them take advantage of the average person's lack of knowledge about renovations to cut corners. However Alex took his work very seriously. Both our conversation and his work demonstrated a sincere and diligent attitude towards his job. Of course, the quality of his work was also exceptional. He has successfully earned my trust and he is always the first person I think of for any job in my house. read more

I called Alex with a plumbing emergency, because my home warranty couldn't get a plumber for 24 hours. He came right away, assessed the problem and had the leak repaired quickly. I'm eternally grateful because I called him after 8PM, when plumbers charge double or triple for "emergency" or "after-hours" services. He was HIGHLY recommended by my in-laws because he completed a major plumbing project for them. He's EXTREMELY knowledgeable about plumbing, construction and home repairs. Provides multiple options, including pro's & con's related to the different options. Very Honest & fair. I already asked him to fit me in his schedule for another issue in our home. I'm personally going to call him first, whenever I need any work done on my home or property. Inow HIGHLY recommend him, as well. Thank You. read more

There was a leak in my hot water pipe that led from the garage into my kitchen area! It caused my entire original wood floor under the current New floor to buckle! Damage was done to the wall, the floors etc! Alex came right away to turn the hot water off, which saved a lot of money as I did not know how to do that! Once the insurance claim this company started to work and went beyond what I would've expected anyone else to do! The floor I got three years ago it was no longer available! They pulled flooring from my other room to the kitchen area and then finished the entire back room, the walls, the paint the ceiling everything was done meticulously! There was no dust no mess no debris left behind! The paint was matched up perfectly. I would've never known there was damage when I returned to my home! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone local needing! Alex is a professional and he does the job right the first time!!! read more

I woke up recently to sound of water running profusely. Upon inspection, I realized that it was coming from my water heater !! I frantically turned my water off and started looking for a repairman. I came across AB Home Repairs and spoke to Alex. He came out and gave me a free quote . We started chatting and noticed that I was a veteran. I contracted him to make the repair and he was done in few hours. He was very professional and clean. He even wore booties when walking on the carpeted areas. I was very impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail and quality of the work. You can tell that they get it done right the first time. At the end when it was time pay the bill, I noticed it was cheaper than what he quoted me . His response, " we take care of our veterans and law enforcement " the discount was the cherry on top!
