Oscar is FANTASTIC!! He truly knows what he is doing, and this was a difficult project, as it required two layers of concrete to level the floor before the vinyl flooring could be put down. Oscar carried bag after bag of 50 pound concrete up 33 stairs, as the condo was on the top floor. We could not be more satisfied with this great end result! We are very grateful to Oscar for his willingness to do this project expertly and at a very reasonable price. Thank you, Oscar - 5 STARS!!! Kemp Massengill, Encinitas, California. I contacted Oscar from Mandala Flooring about installing vinyl flooring in my mom's den in her home. I had purchased the vinyl flooring from Lumber Liquidators and their third party vendor World Flooring was assigned as the installation contractor. World Flooring was not responding to my request for an install date and in fact didn't seem very interested in doing the job so I checked out the reviews on Yelp for Mandala Flooring and was impressed with the numerous 5 star reviews. I reached out and Oscar responded in less than 24 hours. We set up a date/time for him to do a visual and provide cost. His cost was slightly higher than World Flooring but Oscar was very knowledgeable and I felt I could trust him 100% with this project. He provided the estimate and a few days later his team started the demolition and prep work and the vinyl flooring installation was completed in 2-1/2 days. I would definitely recommend Mandala Flooring for any flooring needs. read more

Very friendly and easy to work with. Reasonable pricing and completed ahead of schedule!

we had our house redone with new flooring. We had to but the material, it was a good product. they installed, the being of November 2024. I have to say be careful with this company. I had to repaint my walls, because glue all over the place, on my newly painted walls. and while they moved furnisher, the boke my new couch. customer service with this company is very poor. they said they would come back, to fix a mirror repair, no show, no call. this was an ongoing thing during and after install. got an excuse every time. never shows up when he will be here, and its 2 hours later. throughout the house there are small gaps were dirt and stuff get into. For the price we paid for service, don't bother with this company....... read more

Mandala Flooring did a fantastic job on my home! They installed beautiful hardwood flooring and tile throughout the house, and the results exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and craftsmanship really stood out--the floors look absolutely amazing. They also tackled my garage floor, which was in rough shape before. Now, it looks brand new! The transformation is incredible, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. The team was professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in their work. I highly recommend Mandala Flooring to anyone looking for high-quality flooring and reliable service. Top-notch experience from start to finish! read more

First of all, I heard about Mandala Flooring from my Son. I also saw the work that Oscar and the Crew (Miguel and Fernando) had done at my Son's house. Oscar and the Crew did an excellent job. That's why, when we had a leak at our house, right away, I asked my Son of Oscar's telephone number. And I made an appointment with him. Mandala Flooring demo our floors and installed LVP floors. The work they have done and the price I was charged was very reasonable. I will not mention how much but in my opinion, Oscar from Mandala Flooring gave me an Excellent price. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything from start to finish. Our floor looks amazing. Outstanding job! I will recommend Mandala Flooring to all my family, friends and everyone. THANK YOU TO OSCAR, MIGUEL AND FERNANDO! read more

I chose Mandala Flooring to tile one of the bedrooms in my house to match the flooring of the rest of the house. Oscar was communicative, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. The tile used in the rest of my house was no longer being sold, but Oscar went out of his way to find matching tile. I was really happy with the final result, as well as the price. I'll be using Mandala Flooring for my future flooring projects. Thanks Oscar! read more

Oscar and his team were great from start to finish. We chose Mandala Flooring because they had a passion for the job. Oscar was very knowledgeable about the job and made the work an easy process. Oscar helped us pick out the flooring and baseboards, which we loved! He has reasonable prices, but what makes his company is the passion for the work itself. Mandala Flooring worked on our entire first floor and staircase. They've transformed what was just an average house to what is now our beautiful home! I would not recommend anyone else, Mandala Flooring is it! read more

Oscar was doing the floors at my neighbors at the Alta development in DT SD. The condo associations are hard to work with sometimes with your interior renovations. You have to submit a bunch of paperwork, go through the board, pain in the rear. I had a few flooring contractors over and none of them wanted to deal with the HOA and the complexities of working in a high rise HOA building. I figured since Oscar was next door he might be ready, willing and able to "get it done". So glad I called him. He was responsive, experienced , reasonable in price even with all the extra work of working in a high rise! He came in , nothing was ever a problem and if there was he would only call me to let me know what it was but he was already in the solution nothing I needed to do! He went above and beyond finding people to do other work that came up that needed to be done. He went and picked up materials for me since I was remote. He came on time , finished on time and went above and beyond several times on little things making my life easy and just an all around pleasure to work with! And the floors came out amazing . To bad there wasn't a 6th star because that's the level of service Oscar provides!!! Steve Eveleth read more

So, was hopeful since this company has 'good' reviews. I called Oscar the Owner and he gave me a date and time to come to the house to give us a quote. Unfortunately, he never showed up at promised time and never attempted to send a quick text or call. I had to contact him who then stated 'things out of my control happened'. All I would have wanted is a quick text and we could have easily rescheduled. But in his words 'life is more important than a bad yelp review'. Ok, would have liked to do business with you but not if you don't respect your potential clients time. Don't do business here if you want a professional, on time contractor. read more

If you're reading this review seeking floor work to be done, look no further. What really resonates is my interactions with Oscar. My intuition really senses that he is trustworthy and transparent throughout the entire process (itemized quote to final product). Even after the job was done we called asking if he could put a transition piece on the LVP to carpet to prevent fraying and he gladly obliged. We paid for the carpet, LVP using his company discount from Lumber Liquidators, and his installation fee all itemized prior to the beginning of work. All his numbers were fair with no hidden fees. If your subfloors are discovered to be unleveled, he will immediately contact you prior to proceeding. Granted there is more material involved in order to course correct equating to additional fees. This is important because if your subfloors are not level there will be creaking along with potential wear and tear on the tongue & groove (how the planks piece together) leading to separation of the planks over time. Oscar knew the proper way forward for overcoming this common issue. Additionally, we were warned on day one if this common issue arose. Pictures shown is the final product without the LVP to carpet transition pieces. We're very pleased with the work. Thank you again Oscar! read more

Oscar G and his crew are the absolute best! We hired Mandala Flooring to actually replace a floor I installed incorrectly.... Think DIY gone wrong. Oscar was unbelievable with the whole process. He was timely and went above and beyond to do the job right. We ran into a few issues with our subfloor and to make sure the job still got done on time, Oscar came in on a Sunday by himself and worked all day trying to take care of us. Mandala Flooring (also identified in State of California Contractors License Board records as Mandala Inc.) did excellent work in re-planking the kitchen floor area of a unit I help with. I found Oscar G., the owner and team supervisor, to be very easy to communicate and work with. The fact that he is a state licensed contractor was important in my decision to work with him/Mandala Flooring. The two team members worked on the floor area were very conscientious in all phases of the project--preparation, actual re-planking, and clean-up. To Oscar G. and his team...thank you!!! read more

I can't recommend Mandala Flooring highly enough! They recently did a hardwood flooring repair project for us and it came out beautifully! They were on time every day, made sure to protect the part of the floor that wasn't being repaired, worked very hard on the job and cleaned up the worksite at the end of the day. They were very professional and very competent. Oscar and his crew exceeded our expectations and we now have a seamlessly repaired floor that looks beautiful. read more

Oscar and Edgar from Mandala Flooring did an awesome job of redoing the flooring in our kitchen and family room a well as both of our bathrooms. Our small bathroom was quite a challenge as it needed the floor completely torn up down to the studs. It all came out beautifully. The update for this 1955 house is absolutely life changing and gorgeous! They are very reliable and extremely hard working. We would highly recommend them any time and will refer them to anyone looking for a reliable company with hard workers who really care about how your job turns out. Thank you so much! read more

From the beginning of our initial conversation I knew I wanted to work with Oscar, but I also had to do my due diligence and shop around. From the start, he was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and informative. I shopped around and found he was also very reasonable with his pricing, so we happily hired him. His integrity is extremely high, and he went above and beyond our expectations. The results are a perfectly installed LVP floor we love. He also has a connection with Lumber Liquidators and can save you $ on flooring. His working partner Luis is also very nice and a careful installer. We have been lucky to find incredible people to assist us in remodeling that have become/feel like family. Oscar is no exception! He's very trustworthy and was also so kind to my kids, he even took time to teach them and let them help out!! read more

We had the entire downstairs wood flooring replaced with tile in our home. Oscar did an amazing job and we couldn't have been more happy with the process, quality of work and absolutely impressed by the final product. Oscar was always on time and his communication was excellent. He worked with us on a few changes along the way and was always willing to support our ideas and listen to our input. When deciding on a contractor for a big job like this, it can be nerve racking, but we were in greats hands with Oscar, his attention to detail was amazing, really made us feel as though he was working on his own property. I would recommend Oscar and his crew to anyone who is looking for a flooring contractor. read more

Incredible. We found Mandala after having had several other companies tell us that our 3 year old floors couldn't be repaired. The other guys told us we needed to replace everything; their quotes ranged from $7,500 - $25,000. Mandala listened to our concerns, did what we asked, and our floors look great! Price? $600. I will recommend this company to everyone I know. Prompt, professional and fair; an honest company run by good people. read more

Oscar just repaired our buckling, 15 year old, engineered wood flooring and we could not be more pleased with the results. Oscar is a perfectionist. Had them come re secure tracks to my laminate floor for my sliding closet mirror doors for a rental property. They were so accommodating with the times and a delight to talk to. I had a project to get my boys room redone in a short specific amount of time, including important details and on a budget. Excited about my project, I was pleased when Oscar showed up on time for both the estimate and the install. He listened to my needs and ideas and shared how he would go about it and made himself available to work within my time frame. The subfloor was super squeaky and they screwed it down to fix it. I also needed new baseboards installed. He painted and installed them accommodating specific measurements. To save money on carpeting I went to a place they recommended and was able to get an end of roll, last years style. Oscar was super great to work with. He was very kind and professional. Oscar and Edgar at Mandala Flooring did an amazing job installing flooring in our 3 bed 3 bath condo. They were professional and did a gorgeous job. Oscar is also somewhat of a miracle worker as he made it all happen very quickly. He drove to pick up the flooring instead of waiting for the normal delivery which saved us a week or more in time. He even picked up some items for us from Home Depot (not related to the job) because he was going anyway. These are basically good, honest people who are good at what they do. It was a pleasure having them install our flooring!! read more

Phenomenal. So grateful we found these guys. We had several damaged floorboards after our puppy chewed through them and baby gates scratched away the finish (about 10 planks total, in the middle of a room). They came out promptly to assess the damage and provided two options for repair / replacing them along with his recommendation. After agreeing on the repair solution (replacing only the damaged boards), they scheduled repairs within a week of our consultation, arrived on time and with all the supplies needed, and were done with the work in half the time expected. Everything was put back perfectly and all the dust from the work was cleaned up, like they were never there And the end result looks absolutely beautiful. - seamlessly integrated with the existing wood. I was a bit concerned that it would never quite fit together like when it was originally installed, but Mandala made the miracle happen and it looks like it was all installed together at the same time. We will definitely be going back to Mandala Flooring for wood repairs in the future. I give them my highest recommendation! read more

Sorry to be the only one to leave a bad review, but I wanted to share my experience with this company. My husband and I live in Eastlake and called to schedule an appointment after reading all the positive reviews. We confirmed our appt. with a text giving our address, phone number and time we agreed to meet. Oscar confirmed but never showed up. We realize maybe something may have comeup for him at the last minute, but we never received a phone call telling us he wouldn't make it. I'm happy for all that had a different experience than we did. I gave 2 stars, because he was very pleasant on the phone... *Update* After leaving my previous review, Oscar immediately contacted us. He explained the misunderstanding, and after our conversation, we hired him to do our flooring. He did the complete first floor of our house, along with the stairs. Oscar, and his workers did an outstanding job, and my husband and I couldn't be more pleased. The job was completed on time and every detail was attended to. We plan on doing the upstairs floor in the near future and will call Oscar as soon as we are ready. read more
