THIS ONE... Eek! Methinks no... is... right. I should have done my due diligence and read the reviews before stepping foot in that place because as the other reviews point out the owner is rude, uncooperative and takes no accountability. How do I know?? She called my job today to complain about the initial YELP review I posted. She left an aggressive voice message on my work voicemail (yes, no lie I have the message saved.... contact me if you want to hear it) I shared her nasty message with about 10 co-workers and friends and I am not done. They could not believe what they heard and they vowed to share with their networks. I cannot make this up I could not believe she left a message and pretty much blamed me for the issue I had. My daughter wanted to go to this particular shop for her prom dress and fortunately we found a dress she liked.. The seamstress came over and provided her critique and recommendations regarding alterations. She also made the recommendation to convert the shawl into straps because my daughter is top heavy. We thought that was an excellent idea but the shop was so busy and the wait to see a seamstress was too long. So we opted to purchase the dress and get the alterations done elsewhere. I noticed the seamstress had the shawl around her neck and I asked "are you going to take the shawl back to the dressing room so it can be placed with the dress" we drove 40 minutes to get there and I did not want to go back. The seamstress confirmed she was taking the shawl back. I went to pay for the dress and asked the gentleman who checked us out to confirm the shawl was included he assured me it was. After driving 40 minutes home guess what? The shawl was not there. I called and I was told "it was still in the store and to drive back to pick up. That was not an option and I requested that it be mailed to me and they obliged. After waiting I had to call 2 more times before it was finally mailed. We go to the "other" seamstress with the dress and shawl in tow and when we get to the dressing room my daughter puts on the dress and it is beautiful I hand the shawl to the seamstress so she can determine how to apply the straps and guess what??? The shawl was not the same color as the dress and the seamstress stated "we cannot use this it is too obvious"....I was livid livid livid. There was no time I had to drive to JoAnn Fabrics purchase ribbon for the strap and bias tape then go back to the seamstress. After another round of calls the emails re reached a resolution I would be reimbursed for the mileage and materials. I thought this was reasonable b/c I could have requested more an entire part of the dress was missing and there were no refunds. Not only was she unprofessional and disrespectful, but she was dead wrong. - She stated in her message that she understands my frustration but it was my fault for not getting the shawl from the seamstress room. CORRECTION: The business is responsible for ensuring all the parts and pieces are intact. I did my part by reminding the seamstress to take the shawl to the dressing room with my daughter and the dress. Also, never went to the alteration room the only time I was downstairs was to use the restroom. WHERE DID SHE GET THAT FROM - She stated she mailed the check and she is sure I cashed it. CORRECTION: Check your bank records. - She told me it was my fault and had I used their seamstress I would have had the shawl but again I should have taken the shawl when I was in the seamstress room (I WAS NOT IN THE SEAMSTRESS ROOM). I must say at first I was upset that this erratic woman called my job in an unprofessional manner during business hours. Does she call all the customers who provide bad reviews??? She ended the call by letting me know she has my work information and that she will be calling me back. What is she going to do challenge me to a duel??? Bottom line had the shawl been with the dress like it was supposed to this would be a non-issue. To tell me I am accountable for the dress is absurd . When you purchase groceries the expectation is that what you pay for should be in the bag(s). When I unpack my groceries I expect all the contents to be there. I was told it was going to be taken up to the register and my only fault was believing that to be true. You know the sad part...This is a business owner who does not value her customers if you look at the reviews she is berating brides-to-be for taking too long, her staff is unprofessional and sometimes rude but somehow it's the customer's fault. When does accountability play a part? I corresponded with the manager via email but the one time I get a call it is to complain about a review I gave. SMH read more

Suzanne made my first bridal shopping experience unforgettable. Firstly, she sat me down and asked an array of questions. She not only wanted to discuss every detail I was looking for in my dream dress, but wanted to hear the exciting part- the love story of my fiancé and I. She listened to my vision and picked out a plethora of options. Each piece embodied those special detail requests. I tried them on one by one, and she knew almost immediately when I disliked a dress, or if it didn't have that 'wow' factor. After a few maybe's, I found the one. Suzanne was genuinely excited for me, and it made me feel even more special. She made me feel beyond comfortable throughout the appointment, and did not make me feel pressured. She stayed after store hours to ensure I didn't feel rushed. I went to a different bridal shop, just to make sure this wasn't too good to be true. Let me tell you, it was a horrific experience. There were over a handful of brides packed in one area. I felt as though I could not leave my dressing room to showoff the gown I had on. There was a different employee every time I came out, picking out pieces the exact opposite of what I told them I wanted. Amongst the chaos, all I could think about was the dress I fell in love with and how amazing my experience was at One Enchanted Evening. This confirmed it wasn't too good to be true, and I had to return. We contacted One Enchanted Evening last minute, and Suzanne made accommodations to see me. I was beyond excited to be back with her, and said YES TO THE DRESS. I will continue to recommend One Enchanted Evening, along with Suzanne to anyone looking for their wedding dress. We grow up dreaming of the perfect one, and she found me exactly that. I can't thank her enough for all she did to make this a special endeavor, and I cannot wait to wear this dress on my wedding day. read more

MOST BEAUTIFUL DRESSES AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE TRI-STATE AREA. I have three daughters and we have shopped at One Enchanted Evening for the last eight years. Homecoming Dresses, Winter Formals, Sadie Hawkins and Prom. My youngest daughter is a junior and we were just at One Enchanted Evening this past weekend. They have a great selection. We have also been to a lot of other prom shops in the area but they do not have the quality and the number of dresses that they have. These other shops do not keep their gowns in plastic bags and the gowns are snagged and dirty. The staff has told me and my daughters that they have the widest selection of Jovani, Sherri Hill and La Femme dresses in the area and I have to say it is true. It does get extremely busy here on the weekends and the girls who work their try their best to be fair to everyone using a ring system so that all the girls get into the dressing room in a timely manner. We have been to other stores where they are very disorganized and one girl or several girls camp-out in a dressing room all day not letting anyone else try -on. Let me say that I read one of the recent reviews posted on this site and we have never had a problem with customer service. The girls that work there have bent over backwards - finding all of my daughers the most unique and beautiful gowns I have ever seen as well as shoes and accessories. I would say to anyone if you feel your daughter needs personal one-on-one attention because she is self-conscious go to One Enchanted Evening during the day or evening on a weekday as it is not as busy and the staff is able to work with you. read more

UPDATE: PLEASE READ THE BOTTOM. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My sister bought her wedding dress here and also bought a belt for the dress. The only thing was that the belt needed to be re-sewed so we had to pay for it without taking it with us, knowing that they would fix it for us before we could pick it up. That was back in July!! It is now March and my sister informs me that they have the WRONG belt for her and have no record of what they were supposed to do with it. There is no other belt that is the same as this one and now my sister doesn't even want the dress! They aren't even trying to fix their TERRIBLE mistake! They offered her a candle to make up for it. A CANDLE!!! Don't ever go here if you want your things to be taken care of with people who understand customer service! UPDATE- they did not kindly explain anything to my sister. What they told her was that her belt was gone and that she would not be able to get the same one. Then when she talked to the owner, the owner said this was the first time she was hearing about it. So either A) you're lying or B) you have terrible employees that need to be fired. Because you can't tell me that we've had a problem with this for 4 months and you've never heard about it. And it wasn't until we put up these reviews did they offer ANY kind of discount for their complete idiocy. Also, have you read a lot of these other reviews? The response that comes from the owner is so condescending. Just own up to your mistakes instead of trying to blame the customer for everything. Learn some customer service. read more

One Enchanted Evening was the first place to go on my hunt for the gown! Three years ago I went with my best friend and she found her gown there. They were so nice and extremely helpful that I had made my decision to go there someday for myself! Last year I got engaged and immediately made an appointment bringing my mom and bridesmaids. My consultant treated us like royalty! I loved the designer Allure and they were one of the only stores around that carried it. I fell in love with a dress quickly and my consultant Katie helped me to find accessories. One two different occasions after I purchased my dress I bought my dad in and my gram in to see me in the dress. Even though they were busy and I didn't have an appointment they were so nice And happy for me to show off my dress to family members who could not be there on the day I found it! My dress came in 5 months earlier than what they said allowing me plenty of time to get accessories and alterations to occur. I also had all my bridesmaids order their dresses from here. One of my bridesmaids will be 8 months pregnant at my wedding. They worked with her to customize and create a dress just for her for my day! You can't get much sweeter than that! My matron of honor was a one enchanted evening bride and now I am too! My maid of honor recently went there on her hunt for her dress. The only reason she did not order her dress from there is another store closer to where she lived had it. She decided though to order her veil from One Enchanted evening because they sales consultants were so helpful to her. read more

Worst experience with customer service, lies, rude, more lies, disrespectful, owner lies, I could keep going. Doesn't deserve one star, but I couldn't give 0. Long story short, because I'm still pissed writing this: My fiance', walked in this shop and told the ladies "if you can't get me in a dress by Jan. 2nd, I do not want to try anything on." As we are getting married February 3rd. They reassured her that she could get one by Jan 2. So she buys the dress, we pay extra for it to show up January 2. At the time I was on the other side of the world doing Uncle Sam's work. The staff told her over 8 different dates that the dress would arrive. The dress didn't show up until a week ago. It was extremely frustrating getting phone calls crying that the dress wasn't going to be in on time, nobody would "call her right back" as they said, nobody gave her an actual date on the arrival, while I'm very very far away and can't do anything about it. It wasn't until I called, the dress showed up 2 days later. "the manufacturer was holding it". I called the owner, she was extremely rude, hung up on me multiple times, and didn't do a damn thing, nor give us our rush fee back for her not doing her one job, and kept on with the lies that she never said that, this and that, and accusing me of God knows what. When I'm late in my line of work, good people get killed. All I ask for is a straight answer, and people to do their job. I don't need respect. read more

We purchased my wedding dress, mother of the bride dress, and bridesmaids dresses all from One Enchanted Evening. We had a great experience with each! Kim was our consultant for both my wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses. She did a fantastic job at both appointments and really helped to find dresses that fit my vision. When my wedding dress came in, it did not arrive from the designer in the short/petite version that we thought it would. Obviously, this caused a lot of stress and anxiety. Kim assured me that they would find a way to make it up to me, and she did not disappoint. She personally took off the additional length of lace for us to make it the length that I needed. She went above and beyond what was expected of her, and I am truly thankful for that! Next, we worked with Delya to have my dress altered. I cannot say enough good things about Delya. She not only did a fantastic job with my dress, but she was also kind and fun to work with. It is hard to find a seamstress as talented as Delya in this area, that is for sure. She was also very reasonably priced for all of her hard work. I had three appointments with her, and she made me feel super comfortable each time. My dress is now perfect for my wedding next weekend, and I have Delya to thank for that! Overall, I had a great experience at One Enchanted Evening! read more

The selection is unbeatable, the consultants are hard working and knowledgeable, and the establishment is honest. I should know. I'm speaking from the inside. As far as the negative reviews go, if you base your opinion on the handful of unhappy customers, you will miss out on developing your own experience and possibly finding that fabulous dress that you've been looking for. This store successfully and happily serves thousands of satisfied customers a year, they strive to please you. Their business has grown and there is good reason. Please don't be fooled by the few people who cannot be pleased no matter what is done for them. We all know those kinds of people, I for one, try harder to please them, but sometimes it's impossible. I had a wonderful experience with One Enchanted Evening! I walked in on a Thursday morning in June looking for my bridal gown. I had a "dress to beat" in another salon that I had been eyeing up for the past couple of months, but that didn't bother my consultant one bit. In fact, I was looking for a satin/mikado fabric that I couldn't find ANYWHERE other than in the dress to beat, but OOE had a really wide selection which surprised me! They have a ton of other styles, too, but I was looking for something specific and was pleasantly surprised. I did not end up buying my dress here, but I would highly recommend coming. They have an extremely wide selection of dresses for all price points. I was looking around $1,000 and felt very comfortable. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the seating arrangements for my family - they sat to the side of me while I was in the dresses, so they had to get up and walk over each time. We were the only ones in the store so it wasn't a big deal, but I felt it was worth mentioning. Definitely try One Enchanted Evening! Their prom selections are beautiful too! read more

I shopped for a mother of the groom gown and had been to two other stores prior to buying a gown at One Enchanted Evening. The wedding gown area was private and comfortable. Kim, greeted me and immediately asked what designer, style and color I had in mind and she began to pull gowns for me to try on. Kim made the experience fun, unlike the other two bridal stores I visited. I tried on about 12 gowns of all different styles and I actually bought the first gown I tried on. One Enchanted Evening has a wide variety of very high-quality, gorgeous gowns and Kim handled them with a great amount of care. One Enchanted Evening is also a one-stop-shop since they carry shoes, jewelry, wedding hair combs etc. Kim also suggested viewing the gown in bright and low light which made it a very real experience for me to view for daytime Mass at the church to the evening reception. This is the second time we purchased a dress from OEE and once again we had amazing experience! We stopped in looking for a graduation dress for my daughter. The dress needed to be an all white floor length gown with very little embellishment. Oh and did I mention it needed to be ready to wear with little to no alterations because graduation was less than a week away and I cannot sew to save my life. Everyone and I mean everyone in the store was helpful, friendly and made us feel truly special pulling every dress they had that met our criteria! My experience with Becky Kohne was AMAZING!! I walked into One Enchanted Evening with the excitement of wedding dress shopping for the first time however; a lot of anxiety as well. Becky greeted me & got to know me & exactly what i was looking for. Becky said lets go pull about 5 or 6 dresses & try them on to get started to see what you like. At that point Becky, my maid of honor & myself went & picked out dresses & started trying them on...The 4th dress i tried on was MY DRESS & i said "Yes to the dress"!!! We have shopped at several homecoming/prom gown shops between Pennsylvania and Ohio and One Enchanted Evening was by far the most organized and with a very friendly staff. My daughter had a great time trying on prom gowns and enjoyed her consultant pushing her to try different designs that were not necessarily what she thought she would like. From picking the gown, to the shoes and jewelry, the overall experience was excellent. It is important to note that all of the gown are covered in plastic throughout the store to prevent damage when transporting to the dressing room or during the "look through" stage of shopping. This was not the case at any of the other stores we visited. We will continue to shop at OOE for all of our gown needs. read more

I am the matron of honor in my sister's wedding. We recently went for her to try on bridal dresses. While she did find a dress, the staff was horrible to us. Our consultant never introduced herself, she told us to pull dresses for the bride and we then got reamed out by another consultant for pulling dresses. She never told us where to sit and they kept yelling at our group instead of politely pointing us in the right direction. She pulled a member of our group aside and said there are too many opinions going on, when we weren't even reacting until the bride did. We let her express herself first and then we chimed in. The dress selection is great, but the staff needs completely worked over. I will not be going here for my bridesmaid dress. read more

I went there this past weekend with my daughter to find her a prom dress for her senior prom. I am a single dad and I have to say the staff at One Enchanted Evening made both my daughter and me feel comfortable. They helped her select the right dress, especially making sure that it conformed to her private school's dress code, and explained in detail the types of alterations that could be done to make my daughter's dress perfect. I'm not sure why others claimed they had a bad experience. I know there were more customers in that store than in others we had gone, which leads me to believe this is the place for service and selection. Best bridal shop ever!!!!!! I stopped in for the bridal sale that they had going on. I had no appointment but they let me look anyhow and took such good care of my mother and myself. I've been to multiple other shops in the area and was treated as if I weren't important, Christine treated me like a queen!!!! I ended up saying yes to a dress that I would have never imagined I'd love and I cannot wait to wear it! I went today on my daughter's first homecoming shopping trip. She has Autism and she became very overwhemed looking at dresses and also very anxious coming out with everyone and just sat in the dressing room. My older daughter told the staff about what was happening and a young girl named Kendall who worked there took her under her wing let her go to a different dressing area in the store that was more private and helped my daughter out dresses. I was just here on Saturday and I couldn't have been happier! I went with my mom and my two aunts. I found my wedding gown! They made it so easy and convenient. The woman helping me was so nice and friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted. She even helped me putting my shoes on dress after dress after dress. I was very pleased with this shop. We laughed and had a great time and I found my dream dress. They have a great selection of gowns. I recommend making an appointment in advance. I have to rave about the staff!! I worked specifically with Suzanne, she made the whole experience amazing. Suzanne took the time to talk to me about what I liked and wanted. She really focused in on the little details and helped me find my dream dress for our beach wedding this June. I thought I had found the one on my first visit but she pulled a few for me to give one last look at my second appointment.
