If I could give 0 stars to these people, I would. My sister chose this store to get her wedding dress and our bridal gowns at. Living very close, I was excited to have a nice, easy going process. Out of all the dresses she chose, I picked the one style that wasn't at the Gibsonia location. No worries, they got it in from the Murrysville store for me to try on. It was a very distinct dress. The only lace up back, one shoulder dress with a train. When I tried on my 10, I could comfortably move it from front to back all laced up. I took it off, went out to order and the lady at the counter said, oh, I have to measure you anyway. I said, egh, thats fine. She told me I measured a size 14. I said well you saw my 10, it was big, I'd like the 10. She told me she couldn't let me get anything below a 12. So, I signed for my 12. She reviewed my order and wrote my dress style number down wrong, I corrected her quickly. Four months later I receive a call....we're placing the order and the writing is really bad on the card, what style number was it? So i repeated...981. I get asked to be in another wedding, try on the same dress, get it, get sized. I am a size 6. The Exquisite bride measured me a total of 12 inches off my bust, waist and hips. Horrid! Scared, I called and they claimed they could do nothing to fix this, and I signed for it so it's my fault. I would most likely need re-constructional alterations and they would not help me out with the cost because I'm short and would need alterations anyway. So the dresses come in. I go to pick mine up. After being hassled to try my dress on in the store, I clearly stated, I don't need to see how big this dress is on me, you messed up, I'm taking it elsewhere to be altered. I signed and looked at my dress and realized, THEY ORDERED ME THE WRONG STYLE OF DRESS. How did they do this when one, I corrected the style number the first day, and two, verified the style number in the phone call. I walked out of the store and let my sister handle it. After a LONG painful time with management who are just terrible, terrible people (except Judy) they ordered me a new dress, in the correct size I asked for, a 10, and hopefully it would be in by the wedding date. Being that it is June and the wedding is August 1st. Thankfully my correct dress, style and size, came in last week. I picked it up and took it home to try on. The dress fit just the same, big all around, but it was the size I felt comfortable in ordering, and my seamstress felt comfortable taking in. Not only did they screw up my size, but 3 of us out of the 9 girls had dresses ordered in the wrong size. These people are a disgrace of a business. They did absolutely nothing to ease my terrible experience with them. So I am making it my mission to let everyone know of their terrible business. DO NOT GO TO THE EXQUISITE BRIDE FOR ANYTHING. read more

The bridesmaid dress finding process was just fine. However, all 5 of us in the bridal party were coerced into ordering dresses sizes above our normal size. I believed that formal dresses run large, so no worries. Then the dresses arrive and all of us are stuck with dresses at least 2 sizes too big! I'm getting at least 4 inches of fabric taken off! The worst part is that I had to order a plus sized dress and if I had ordered a smaller size it would have cost me less money. This whole scenario is frustrating and uncalled for from a professional salon. These women are trained to measure and fit us and failed on all five of us! I do not recommend this shop to anyone. **I will add that our bride had no trouble with her dress and its sizing. read more

I was recommended to come here by a friend who models dresses for the company. My mom and I worked with MaryLou twice - once for my wedding gown and another time for my moms' mother of the bride gown. MaryLou was absolutely phenomenal. She spent so much personalized time with us, trying on at least 15 dresses each to help figure out the right style and dress that worked for both of us. She was patient, incredibly helpful, and has impeccable taste. We ended up buying everything she recommended - jewelry, veil, hairpiece. I also worked with Cindy and Judy, who were both wonderful. I have had a great experience here and have been nothing but impressed by their customer service thus far. read more

The bridal shop has an extensive selection to chose from. The bride is getting married in a few short days and she is extremely unhappy as to the alterations made on the dress. Mothers beware the shop also owns the alteration business so the entire bridal party was forced to purchase extremely large sizes and have them altered according to the "manufactures" instructions. One girl who is barely 5' tall small build but busty...was forced to buy a size 22 dress! I am extremely disappointed how the shop took advantage of my daughter and her bridesmaids. And to make matters worse my daughters gown was a mess. It is now with a different Seamstress not affiliated with this store who is trying her best to fix the mistakes made. By the time we are finished we will have close to $500 in alterations. The store reimbursed the bride for her alterations after it was brought to their attention. read more

My favorite shopping experience in my bridal journey was at Exquisite. The women were extremely informative and helpful. It was 100% personalized and they were so attentive! I felt like I was shopping with my favorite aunts. The layout of the store was conducive to browsing designers and gown styles, which made the process less stressful. The dressing rooms are large single stalls with a shared area for the mirror and riser. They do let you take pictures here, which was imperative to my decision making process. I highly recommend brides visit this store early in their search, you'll be thrilled you did, and you will likely find your dress. read more

I stopped by to check out their sample sale when I was in town visiting my family. It was my first time trying on dresses and I just wanted to try on a bunch to get an idea of what I liked. The woman who helped me was wonderful at pulling a variety of dresses and really helpful the whole time I was there. I actually found a great dress (and at a great price!) and took it home that day. They had a wide selection of dresses both in their sample sale and in the store. read more

I was going to provide a 3-star review but Jamie, the seamstress, saved it for them. I visited this salon twice to look at dresses and ultimately ended up purchasing my gown from there but my experience was not always positive. I had a great consultant the first time I went looking for a dress. She was very and nice and attentive. She listened to what I was looking for and pulled beautiful gowns. At the time, I was not ready to commit but came back a few months later. For my second appointment my experience was much different. The consultant was very rude not only to me but to my small party of 3 which I brought with me. Throughout the appointment, she was getting frustrated with me and refused to continuing pulling more gowns after about 45 minutes into the appointment. I was having a hard time with the dress because their sample sizes are too large for me and it was hard to even get them pinned properly to understand their true look in my own size. The consultant at one point did snap at me that I would have to 'get over' that the dress will not be in my size. As a tip to smaller brides, if you are looking for a store that has smaller sample sizes, Bridal Beginnings in Mt. Lebanon has them. It is very hard for someone trying on a gown that has a key hole in the back if the dress is 4 sizes to big. It makes a huge difference in the way it looks on you when it is finally your size in terms of how the dress lays and the cup sizing. The best employee in this place is Jamie, hands down. I had my dress custom altered and she did an amazing job! My dress back was a key hole and she opened it up to be open back. She was professional, polite and super sweet. She did an amazing job to transform my gown into my dream dress. read more

If i could give them minus stars I would! We had a similar experience like Katie S. stated in a previous review, with the exception that they did not try to correct the problem at all. Lori (the consultant) insisted that we had to order the size that was at least 2 sizes too big, the same size that was tried on and was falling off even though we told Lori that dress was way too big. Then today we go in for a fitting and Yes knew the dress was too big but now even bigger because of some weight loss, they said 4 inches less than 1st measured and the dress will have to be completely reworked for $1000 or we could make a whole new dress for a $1000. When I said this was the reason I did not want to order the dress that big to begin with and they made us, They replied we can not force you to do anything and you signed off on it. Then proceeded to tell me I was slandering them and yelling at me when I got mad. Sounds to me like this is their way of making more money if we are not the only people that they have done this to. I take the blame for signing off on this against my better judgement but I thought they are the professionals and they were advising me so I listened. My mistake. A time that was supposed to be special has turned into a nightmare and $1200 is thrown away. Now do I make a new dress or rework this one for another $1000. I am so sad now and can not understand how anyone can be in a business like this and be so rude to you and make you feel horrible when every bride deserves to be happy about her day all because they want to make a profit. read more

I could not have been more pleased with my bridal appointment and the service I was shown. Judy was more than accommodating for myself and those who came with me to help pick out my dress. The bridal suite was clean, ready for multiple guests and Judy made me feel like a one-of-a-kind bride! After telling her my style, she pulled some of the most beautiful gown while still considering price points! Not only did she pull a dress I ended up selecting but soon after I found the perfect dress for my bridesmaids. This place was an unexpected dream. Wedding dress shopping was extremely stressful for me at first. I had several horrible experiences at other salons and I went here on a whim with my mother and maid of honor. I'm a very laid black, go-with-the-flow kind of bride, but I felt very shy and reluctant at first given my time spent in other bridal salons. All three of us were greeted warmly and Joanne, my consultant, asked me some questions about what I was looking for and what price range I wanted to stay in. I'm a heavier bride, and I wanted something that would look good and that I felt good in whether I met my weight loss goal or not. Joanne took off like a rocket and ran around the store, grabbing dresses she thought I'd like. I was a little overwhelmed at first, but as I started trying dresses on, I realized that I was in good hands. Joanne was so upbeat and positive - all the stress I had felt from dress shopping and planning melted away. It never felt like she was pressuring me to make a decision, or that she was fine with me settling for something I was only somewhat okay with. At one point, she put some accessories on me to see what would go well with the kind of dress I liked, but she changed her mind because she didn't think they looked right. I greatly value when someone who is selling me something is also willing to tell me when something doesn't look good. Joanne is just amazing and genuine in that sense. I ended up finding my dress, which led to a flood of tears. She gave great advice and wasn't pushy when I wanted to think about options before ordering. I did inevitably decide to purchase the dress and a belt a few days later and I returned to get my measurements and place the order. I still wasn't sure on the veil, though. I knew I wanted a cathedral length, but felt like the one I originally liked was lacking. Joanne tinkered with some veils and found a shorter veil with a trim that I liked a lot more. She verified that the manufacturer could make it cathedral length (they could!). Meanwhile, I had been shopping in other salons for bridesmaid dresses with my bridesmaids and mother and we found a few that we liked. I have five bridesmaids of all shapes and sizes and heights, so it was important for me to find a dress that made them all feel good. One of my bridesmaids came with me to The Exquisite Bride so I could order my veil and we found the dress everyone liked, but for a slightly lower price! I was so excited, especially since bridesmaids get their dresses 10% off if they order their dresses there (only if the bride got her dress there too). All of my bridesmaids were in town this week, so we all went out today to get their measurements done. I was really happy that Joanne could help us as well as Giselle (I'm sorry if I spelled her name incorrectly - she was wonderful too and my bridesmaids liked her a lot). We had an absolutely amazing time. There was so much talking and laughing, and it was everything I've wanted for my wedding planning. My bridesmaids are extremely chill and they don't stress about sizes (and they are never shy about being silly or making fun of themselves). We were being a bit loud, though, and I was worried when the owner's son came over and introduced himself. He started joking around with us too! Then, one of my sisters was wondering if sleeves could be added to the bridesmaid dress. He talked to us about various options and how we could order some extra fabric, but also took two dresses off of the rack and tucked fabric from one into the other to show us how a pretty sleeve could be added. All of my bridesmaids loved the idea, so we ordered the extra fabric. I have a bridesmaid who is 6 ft tall and needed length added as well. They ended up giving my bridesmaids 15% off of their orders! Given that the dress was already cheaper than what we expected it to be, this was so awesome. I never felt self-conscious or stressed at The Exquisite Bride, and I'm so thankful that my bridesmaids felt the same way. They took something that was my primary stressor and made it extremely pleasant and relaxing. I was hoping I'd be able to look back on dress shopping as a happy experience, and thanks to the Joanne and the rest of the staff, I'm able to! Their selection is awesome. Words can't describe what a perfect memory this has left on my journey to getting married. I literally was sad the experience went too fast and was over. From the second I walked in, Jen made me feel like I was royalty. That red carpet was surely laid out for me and my closest family and friends who joined in the experience. Jen had chairs for the six people I brought, a little section for me to display the dresses I tried on, and the entire experience was organized. I can't say enough good about Jen. She gave up so much of her time to make my experience beyond perfect and fun. She is one of the most generous and kind-hearted people I know. She does anything she can to make your day special. She even gave me suggestions of where to eat prior to us arriving to shop. The second we walked into the store after lunch, she was at the door with a huge smile. It made me feel so important and good! She's incredible! Not only was my experience bridal dress shopping amazing, but so was bridesmaid dress shopping. That certainly gave me anxiety, but Jen and Danette had me know exactly what I wanted for my girls within five minutes of looking at things. Trust me...I'm picky!!! I had the pleasure of working with Danette. This woman has a heart of gold. She made the entire experience completely comfortable and all about me. If there's one person you want by your side on a day such as trying on dresses...well, then she's your girl! Trying on dresses is most definitely exciting, but somewhat nerve racking at the same time. She has this presence about her that is so calming and positive. She makes you feel beautiful in every dress you try on. I came into the shop with a somewhat idea of what I liked in a dress. I was thinking long sleeves and a simple, country look. I tried those dresses on, but was open to anything. I gave Nanette the reins and she ended up choosing this absolute BEAUTIFUL dress for me. I know for a fact I would not have chosen it for myself. But, I trusted her and she found "thee dress"!!! It fit like a glove and made me feel like a complete princess. She got my mom's tears flowing for sure! I am still tearing up as I look at pictures of it! Nanette takes the time to get to know you...and BIPPITY BOPPITY BOO like a fairy god mother...she has this ability to chose a dress of your dreams. I had read some very good reviews of this shop online, however I had a completely different experience. First off the woman who wrote down the 10 or so dresses that I loved told me they carried all of them. When I arrived they only had 4. The woman helping me did it bother to fluff my dress or even try to make me look nice. She did not really care if I wanted their business or not. When I asked if I could try a few more dresses on, she told me she didn't think their was anything else for me. So I went out to look around. I found one I liked she said, well this is an 8, it's not going to fit you. To say the very least this was not my dream day and I will not be giving them my business! read more

I could not have had a better experience at the Exquisite Bride in Gibsonia. Everyone there is amazingly helpful and friendly and they really know their stuff!! I wasn't quite sure what I wanted for my wedding day (my tastes ran across the board), but I knew I wanted beachy and sparkly. The woman helping me listened to my ideas and then picked out several beautiful dresses for me to try all in the style I was looking for. There were a lot of varied opinions there that day, (I had brought a few bridesmaids, my mom, her friend, grandmas, etc) but the woman helping me made sure that I loved the dress and wasn't just listening to everyone else's opinions. She told me, "it's your wedding day. Wear the one you love." In the end, I chose a gorgeous, flowy, sparkly beach wedding dress that I could not have been happier with. When I came in for my final fitting just a couple of weeks before my wedding, I had lost some weight and it needed to be taken in. The accommodating seamstress and the same saleswoman made it their priority to get it done before my destination wedding. From start to finish, the staff at the Exquisite Bride were friendly and professional. They made what could have been a challenging process such a breeze!!! Let me start by saying that this was my 4th Bridal salon I visited in search of the "perfect" dress for my destination wedding next year. I visited multiple salons all around Pittsburgh and even one that is located an hour and a half away. While I read terrible reviews about each of these salons, I was pleasantly surprised that I had a good experience at all of them, even at the big cookie cutter bridal shop. I had good experiences but I just couldn't find the one or even a few that were worth what the salons were charging until I came to Exquisite. I was treated well at all of my appointments but the professionalism, attentiveness, friendliness and quality of gowns are incomparable to the Exquisite Gown Gibsonia location. I was lucky enough to have one of the best consultants, Joanne helping me this past weekend during their huge sample gown sale. Joanne was very friendly, listened to my wants/needs and expectations and she and myself pulled about 8 gowns that day and I feel in love with each and every one of them. Joanne was very patient with myself and my entourage of 3 and helped me narrow each dress down 1 by 1 by 1. I tried each dress on twice while my family took pictures and it finally came down to 2 dresses. I ended up walking away with a dream Sottero & Midgley Couture $3650 gown that I "stole" for a mere $700 during their sample sale! This dress is fully beaded w/ Swarovski crystals and pearls and is an absolute show stopper....it is nothing like a typical "destination" wedding dress that my guests are expecting and it was actually less expensive than some of the destination wedding dresses that I tried on at the other salons. I have read a few negative reviews on here about Exquisite and the other bridal salons I visited and I just want to mention that you should not believe everything you read on these sites, I think you should visit the salon with an open mind and a positive mind set and not be so nit picky. Every salon I have visited was a good/positive experience but The Exquisite Bride and my consultant Joanne were top notch, professional, the stores styles are up to date, their pricing is absolutely amazing on the Sample side, it's a clean boutique with personalized service and I would highly recommended visiting them!! I went into this store and it took a few minutes for the women at the desk to stop talking and greet me. They said it would take a few minutes to get started so I looked around at the dresses. I found it strange that they were all in plastic garment bags. It made it very hard to see the dress. Once we went back with the consultant, she asked me what I was looking for. I told her I wanted a strapless princess dress with detail on the top and straight tulle at the bottom with no designs. She processed to interrupt me and tell me that actually straps are now trending. I felt that she completely disregarded what I wanted. She then asked me to go out into the floor and pick my own dress whereas the place I went first they picked out dressed and brought them to me. All of the dresses that she pointed out to me had straps or detailed skirts. I finally told her that I didn't see anything I liked or wanted and would be going elsewhere. She didn't seem to get it and just kept showing me dresses that had features that I continuously told her I didn't like. By all means if you like a designer they have then go look, but if you are looking for quality service I would look elsewhere. read more

Terrible experience. I will not recommend this store to any of my friends. The manager kept mentioning that the issues with my gown were a rare issue and that everything would be taken care of. I was not given answers and eventually told that I was not permitted to speak with anyone but the owner or owners son who were never available. Each employee fed me different information about my gown and was given misinformation about paying in full and the credit you receive when paying in full. The owner was ultimately disrespectful to me and continuously told me "whatever." The seamstress also shared that my dress looked fine and that it really did not matter how I felt in it. She said I insisted on alterations. When my chest was falling out of gown because it was too big she said it looked find and shared this with the owner. Horrible experience. I will not go back here and am so disappointed in the experience that was apart of my wedding day. read more
