My daughter and I went prom dress shopping here recently. I was not pleased with the experience we had. We were given 45 minutes to try on and pick out dresses and after the 45 minutes was up we were told we either had to choose or make a new appointment to come back. I did not appreciate driving well over an hour and being told that I had to pick a dress that was $935 that day and I couldn't stay more than 45 minutes. It is outrageous to expect people to drop hundreds of dollars on dresses and not give them time to choose. The system here is very flawed and I would not recommend to anybody... If you can, go buy the same namebrand dresses at another dress store. They probably allow more time than 45 minutes! I will not be going back. read more

My daughter and I went there today and we were so dissatisfied and disappointed. There was no one to help with any questions- you are completely ON YOUR OWN to find what you need... they hustle you in and out of the dressing rooms- they don't allow moms to even come close to the dressing rooms- and it just feels a bit shady. The girls have to come out infront of EVERYONE in the store to "show mom the dress". Well what about the girls who are not comfortable with doing that and being infront of an entire store while deciding on a dress? Just poorly run in my opinion. As soon as I stepped inside I felt a very negative vibe. It felt as if we were a bother. When we were talking to the staff about deciding between a couple dresses, they were very uninterested, dismissive and had very little input and communication. When we asked if they registered dresses, they were very rude about it. Also we came in with drinks and they allowed us to set them on a table and said they would keep them here and no one would touch them, when we were heading out they were gone. Dress was ripped 4 inches and they promised the dress to be repaired like new. I pick up 1st time (25 minutes away) and the hem looked awful. Gabbie (STORE MANAGER) said the seamstress did by hand and was irritated that I wasn't accepting the dress this way. She said the dreaded would have to do by machine and take it home and it would be a few days. Okay, fine. 5 days later, they call and we go right there to pick up (another 25 minute drive) and the hem still looks bad. Not a bad as the 1st time, but still not good at all. She is now condescending to me and then I say, fine just refund the money then because this isn't okay. She tells me no. I asked to speak to the owner and she tells me very rudely that the owner will not speak to me. There's where you went wrong. So a business owner, won't speak to customers??? Maybe take some of your money and train her on how to problem solve and run a business. Inappropriate and poor attitude. I give this business no stars at all. I'm a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding in October of this year. She went to the business and picked out a bridesmaid dress in September 2024. They even measured one of the bridesmaids since she was pregnant at the time. After deciding on the dress and getting all the info out and registering with the shop for the wedding. The business was to hold 8 dresses for the maids to purchase. The bride was even told that the bridesmaid should order by July for proper time to schedule fittings before the wedding. Our group decided to go together in April, but the bride tried at least 3 or 4 times to get ahold of them since March to schedule this appointment. She called and texted. After calling all day one day, a bridesmaid FINALLY got through only to be told they don't sell bridesmaid dresses anymore and tried to tell her that they must be "remembering incorrectly". At this point, the bride asked to speak to the manager who stated she'll look into it. The manager proceeded to leave a nasty, gaslighting voicemail to the bride the following day basically stating that they never had any record of her being there (she has pictures and other receipts) and "good luck on your look"...I would not recommend this business to anyone. I don't recommend taking a chance on this business for your big day or any event for that matter. No one should have to be put through stress after months of believing that this business had their back and things were in place. Extremely disappointing and I DO NOT recommend. read more

HORRIBLE. Homecoming dress shopping was a nightmare. The owner is not only rude but yells at customers. They clearly don't have the capacity to support large crowds, yet they let way too many people in with reduced staff to support. The owner felt it was necessary to silence the entire store to scold EVERYONE. She blamed everyone for being rude to her staff when what we experienced was a very crowded space full of super patient and supportive women. Rather, the owner was the rude one... yelling at mothers who wanted to go back with their young daughters into the dressing room but were told, that's not how we do things here...Scooping dresses out of mothers laps and lecturing that the dresses either need to be on the rack or in the dressing room...Taking center stage and grandstanding to the entirely packed store that they are no longer running sizes...That this is their busiest weekend and they are short-staffed because workers were home vomiting (yes, she really said that)...that there were people waiting outside to get in. It was one big gaslighting event for a complete meltdown at the store operations level. I wish I had read reviews before going. Definition of a $hit$show that apparently is the norm. read more

Huge assortment of dresses in sizes for everyone. That's about the only pro. Some staff were nice, others not so much. Prom shopping was chaos. They use a card method to keep track of dresses you pull, you can try 5 on at a time. This is nice so that people aren't hoarding dresses, but if there was a dress you wanted to "save" from the original 5, it becomes confusing and dresses get lost in the shuffle when you transition to a new set of five cards. Girls have to come out in front of everyone and look in the big mirrors on the runways. There are tons of young girls working, but my kid kept waiting for someone to zip/unzip her from the dresses since guests aren't allowed in the fitting room in order to prevent damage to the dresses. I get it, but if they're going to be so strict with everything, they should take appointments for prom like they do with bridal. We spent over 2 1/2 hours here. We came in looking for a specific dress- was immediately told they didn't have it, then we found 2 on the floor. Seems to be lots of miscommunication among staff. We did end up purchasing a dress; when paying, there's a line for a tip- LOL what a joke. Oh yeah and you're not allowed to take pictures/ videos in the dresses- they'll come around and yell at you. For selection of dresses - yes. Great selection. Awesome help. Those girls know what they are doing. Alterations - DO NOT GO THERE! What a rip! Along with making you wait till the last possible moment to get your dress, even if they have had your dress for weeks. We went to them since the dress was ripped prior to buying. But the amount they charged for hemming and bustling was 4 times the amount that everyone around us paid. The dress wasn't ready until 2 days before the event. We live an hour away, and my daughter dances every night so she didn't get to try it on. They left no room for if there was an error. They were also rude every time you called and asked. WARNING!!! At the beginning of January, I called one Enchanted evening to make an appointment to find a gown for my daughters' upcoming wedding on May 3rd. During the phone call, I gave a list of 10 dresses with item numbers to be pulled and ready to try on on the day of the appointment. When my daughter and I arrived on the day of the appointment, we walked in and two workers were at the front desk. Neither one of them said hello or even looked at us. After a few minutes, a salesperson came out to help us. I gave her my name but she knew nothing of the list of dresses that I had requested to try on nor did she try to find out from other co-workers. I asked her if she had the one specific gown that I was interested in and she did. She proceeded to bring more gowns for me to try on as she complained about a personal issue that she was having at home. I shortly decided on the gown that I wanted. When purchasing, the full amount must be paid and a contract is signed. Completely my fault that I did not read the fine print on the contract as I was caught up in the moment of finding the perfect gown for my daughters' wedding. The fine print simply states that one Enchanted evening can charge any additional shipping fee if necessary. I was told that the dress would arrive in a few weeks and we went home. Two weeks later, I got a call from the salesperson that an additional $250.00 must be paid for a rush shipping fee. This was completely over budget and I asked if I could just get my money back and go elsewhere. The salesperson told me that I was responsible for the additional cost and that no refunds are given. I was so upset and asked to speak to the manager. I asked the manager if they could at least guarantee that the dress would arrive in time for the wedding. The manager stated that she could not guarantee that the dress would arrive in time for the wedding and I was responsible for the additional cost. The manager was short and rude. I have been calling the past few days, as I still have no dress. The manager refuses to take my calls and has not called me back. I asked if there was a tracking on the dress but the receptionist said that they cannot track the dress. The receptionist told me that they reached out to the designer and that the dress had been shipped but they do not know when it will be in. It is now less than 4 weeks to the wedding and I still have no dress. The store has not returned my phone calls and I do not know if and when the dress will arrive and I am out over $800.00!!!! I myself am a manager and specialize in customer service and service recovery. This establishment has no skills when dealing with customers. I am very limited on time and must now find another gown as alterations may need to be made. I only have one daughter and being the mother of the bride is supposed to be one of the greatest experiences in life. This place has turned my experience into a nightmare and has caused me so much stress and anxiety at an already stressful time. read more

Staff are the rudest people on the planet. We drove over an hour to try on dresses and left within 10 minutes of being in the store. My daughter didn't feel comfortable going in the back by herself, and the staff made a huge deal about mothers not being allowed in the back with their children. There wasn't an option for zero stars or I would have selected it. Do not buy a dress from One Enchanted Evening. We bought our daughters Sherri Hill prom dress here for $400. When she tried it on we were surprised to see 3-4 ripped seams, and they kept it for repair by their seamstress. Apparently, this is common. On the night of the prom, before we left to take photos, a seam on her right hip had opened up, and thirty minutes later when we were taking photos a shoulder strap broke. We were in panic mode and attached the broken strap to other straps to keep it from falling apart further. See the photos, these were taken at the picture session prior to the event. That's a seam coming apart as well. I called the store immediately, so that there was no question that this happened before she went to the dance. Around 7:45, while at the prom seated for dinner, a second strap broke, my daughter and three other girls were in the restroom at the event patching the dress up with safety pins. By the time she returned to the table her food had been removed. The quality of the dress was only outdone by One Enchanted Evening's response to our complaints. The manager, Gabrielle Celender, called and after reviewing the photos, she did apologize. But then offered a $100 refund, and to have the dress repaired. I expressed my displeasure with this offer, at which time she reminded me of the "contract" that I signed absolving them of any responsibility once the dress left the store. So she was actually doing me a favor by offering $100 for a dress that very literally fell apart while my daughter was wearing it (before even going to the dance). There are two things going on here - they are selling subpar merchandise, and then they won't refund you if it falls apart, because they make you sign a contract. Either sell quality items, or be ready to stand by the crappy products if they fail. Lastly, I asked to talk to the owner, Linda Scolieri, and was told that she doesn't talk to customers. I'm giving this 2 stars only because of the staff who helped my daughter find her wedding dress last year. They were patient, welcoming, and helpful. However, the poor experience was yesterday when she went to try on the dress after final alterations. She called me on the way to let me know that not once but 3 times their seamstress commented that she "gained weight". She has been struggling with some weight gain this past year, but the dress fit perfectly. IF a bride gains weight she knows it and doesn't have to be told. My daughter was excited to get her dream dress only to leave their feeling bad. I'm sure she will tell her friends and my younger daughter will most likely not want to shop there when she gets engaged. A wedding dress and alterations are expensive, but they aren't just selling a dress but making a bride's vision of her wedding dress come true. A rude comment by someone who's opinion shouldn't matter can diminish that vision. My hope is that when she wears it down the isle next Sat she forgets about the insensitive comment and sees nothing but the beautiful woman she is inside and out!! I considered calling the manager to ask her to educate her seamstress, but after reading these other reviews I doubt she will care. read more

Went here last night looking for a dress for my daughter's military ball she was invited to and I would say it's okay when you first go in and the selection of dresses are beyond any I have seen before, but the sizing for some girls are not all tiny little bean poles! The average high school girl size ranges from 12-16 and they had 1 row of dresses from 12-20. You really know how to make a young girl look down upon herself as there were plenty of size 0's, 00's and 000's. Not all young ladies are that little and the way they had dresses set up in my daughter's size we could not even look at them well because they were all jammed in there tight and together. You might want to rethink your displays because I walked out within my daughter's first 5 dresses disgusted! read more

I love One Enchanted Evening especially my consultant Amanda she was amazing I had lost all hope because my wedding is months away and I had no dress I've been to several wedding stores for wedding dresses and I could not find that dress that screen pic me so I have want to give all the credit to One Enchanted Evening this store is enchanting Amanda was able to to find the perfect dress for me and I am so grateful because I thought that I was going to go with a mermaid look but I ended up going with a gown look and it's just as beautiful as the mermaid look and I only can give all the thanks to Amanda she really took her time with me it was like I didn't have to pick from from several dresses like you know how are you going to the store you find so many dresses to try on and it's just not the dress for you! We have purchased several dresses from OEE and have always been happy. This year was Senior Prom and we found a beautiful dress that needed some specific touches to make it extra special for my daughter. After having the dress altered she tried it on and burst into tears. It just wasn't what she envisioned. The girls were so helpful and supportive, and we were able to see our seamstress right away and she worked with my daughter to fix all of her concerns. This is such an odd place. We went to look at homecoming dresses. They have this system where they give you playing cards on a key chain and you place them on the dresses you want to try on and then take them back to the fitting room. There seems to be no reason for this other than helping you keep count of your maximum of 5 in a fitting room.... So you juggle this extra thing which is weird. All of the dresses are organized by size, which is nice (hence the two stars). However, they are all crammed together and in plastic wrap. It's impossible to look at them without a lot of effort. You also can't join your child in the dressing room. They go in alone, and one of the staff zips them up and helps them get into the dresses. Then, they are paraded out to see you with the salesperson got on their heels. My shy daughter was mortified. Won't be back. read more

Just had a terrible experience talking this business over the phone. I called and simply asked how much a dress was and if I ordered it how long it would take to arrive. They refused to tell me how much the dress cost at first and refused to give me even a general time frame on when I would receive the dress. When I simply said " I don't understand why you can't give me a timeframe of 1 month..2 months so that I can plan?" This establishment ruined my daughters first prom dress shopping experience. There are no mirrors in the dressing rooms. The girls have to come out on a runway sight unseen and all of the other child's parents are out there watching. My daughter was very uncomfortable walking out in front of a bunch of strangers when she doesn't even know how she looks. This is a nightmare for a self conscious teenage girl. I was not allowed to go into the dressing room area. The fitting staff helped my daughter zip or tie the back of the dress. At one point one told her "it's a little tight honey but you can still go look". The fitting staff brought her dresses that were the opposite of what she asked for. Trying on prom dresses is stressful enough and this establishment made my daughter feel uncomfortable and self conscious on top of it. read more

Zero stars is what they deserved!!!! i purchased a 450$ dress for my daughter to go to prom in and they kept it for over a week doing "repairs" and "alterations" to the beads of the dress. When it came time for prom the beads literally were falling off the dress all over the porch. They did absolutely nothing to fix them and there were hanging threads off it as well. When i called to file a complaint they did absolutely nothing for me in return they basically just told me to calm down. Horrible customer service and terrible quality for ridiculous prices!!! We had a horrible experience today at this dress shop. First off, my sister called in advance to make an appointment to try on wedding dresses. She gave them the name and number of the dresses and they told her they had them and would have them ready and in a room for when we got there. When we did get there, there were NO dresses in a room for her let alone the ones she asked for. Turns out they only had 1 of the 7 dresses they said they had but they couldn't locate that one. Next, the lady helping my sister was terrible. She would help my sister out a gown on and then disappear for 20 minutes but when i tried to help my sister out on a new dress she bursts into the room and kicks me out rudely. The service was horrible. Do not buy a dress from here, in fact i wouldn't even go here Reply: The problem was not that you didn't carry the dresses, it was that you lied to my sister and said you did when you didn't even have one, and that you would pull them for her. If you don't have it/aren't gonna do it, don't say otherwise. Also, her appointment was very unprofessional. Christine's "style" was one of the worst i've ever seen. She was very rude to me as my mother. If she did not want me in the room with my sister, she should have stayed with her while she was deciding instead of leaving her after every dress. She was talking about my mother and i to my sister. She even told my sister i was picking the wrong dresses for her when i wasn't picking anything at all. She asked me if i was finding anything i said no and before i could even get another word out she ran down to my sister to tell her i was picking out the wrong dress (not that she knew what the right dress was). Also when we called today to get the number of a dress to buy elsewhere since this was such a poorly run dress shop, a girl told me that she would get the number of the dress my sister liked but Christine didn't write the numbers down for some reason. When no one at the shop felt like looking for it, they called back and said it was policy that they can't give out numbers.. which again, is fine, but don't tell customer you will do something if you won't. Terrible Customer Service. THEY WILL FORCE YOU INTO A DRESS. Fiancée decided on a dress and purchased it. One Enchanted Evening called to inform her that that dress was discontinued. Fiancée went back to the store to look at other dresses and was told by sales people that a refund was not an option. Fiancée was forced into settling on a show room dress that she ultimately did not what. After multiple attempts to return the dress and get her money back the Bridal Manager lied and tried to say that she said we could have had our money back before selecting the second dress. If getting our money back was an option then, why is it still not the case now? She settled on a show room dress, we would understand if the shop had spent money to obtain the dress specially for us. I have to echo the complaints of other shoppers in regards to their dress sizes! I live in Los Angeles and was in Pittsburgh trying on dresses with my mom and sister- just looking to find the silhouette I wanted with no intention to purchase that day but Michelle was my consultant and she was magical. I had been so frustrated with my first two appointments that day that I had almost given up. Michelle took her time helping me, she was incredibly kind and positive, she listened to my questions and concerns and took cues from the inspiration pictures I had brought. Thanks basically entirely to her ended up finding my dream dress. I fell in love and purchased it on the spot. I was told it would be ready in about 6-8 months and it arrived almost exactly 6 months after I ordered it. I flew back to Pittsburgh in August excited to pick up my dress. It didn't occur to me to make an appointment (because I knew I would be getting the alterations done in CA) but YOU SHOULD. I was only in town for the weekend and their hours on the weekend are shorter. They did let me come by and grab it right before they closed on Saturday (so awesome of them, actually) so I did not get to try it on until I got home. I couldn't put my finger on why but I was genuinely disappointed! I brought it back to LA and continued to try it on with a variety of different undergarments hoping I would fall in love with it again but it honestly just felt like I was wearing a sack so I set out early to find a seamstress. My fears were confirmed the dress was ordered nearly two sizes larger than it needed to be!! Additionally I was told that it may not be able to be taken in at the hips (where it pillows) because the appliqués are glued over the seams and the tulle is so delicate it may rip. Hoping my seamstress can work magic but I'm pretty annoyed that I spent so much money on a dress that can't simply be altered. I didn't bother to reach out to the store again because I told them when I was leaving town at the end of the weekend and asked for an estimate how much it would cost to insure and ship the dress and they didn't bother to return my phone call before the end of the weekend so I just ended up having to fed ex it. read more

To discriminate against a 16 and 17 year olds, who went to look for a prom dress, stating no one under 18 without a parent is ridiculous. They work, have school, can go to see a medical professional independent of parents, but cannot try on a dress, is ridiculous. Run away from this store as fast as you can! And, I am not kidding. They will promise and tell you anything to get a sale. My teenage daughter was dress shopping with friends. I warned her not to go to his shoppe as I have not heard anything good about it. But, you know kids.... Turns out, this was the beginning of our nightmare. My daughter tried on a red dress, which fit her very well. She fell in love with the dress, but immediately noticed some flaws. The dress had 2 rather large grease stains on the back thigh area, a scuff in the fabric in the front thigh area, a frayed strap. Now keep in mind, this is supposed to be a "new dress." The staff promised her that they would clean the dress and address all of the issues. It would be perfect when she picked it up. I called the store to pay the dress off and advised the staff that my daughter would be picking the dress up. I actually called twice, to double check that the dress would be pressed and ready to go. Oh yes, they assured me that it was ready for pick up. My daughter stopped by and picked her dress up. A few days later we visit "our seamstress" (who is A LOT cheaper, btw). We immediately notice, the dress was not cleaned or pressed. It actually had dust on it! Come to find NONE of this issues had been taken care of! It looks as though somebody wore this dress. This dress was NOT acceptable! We left the seamstress and went right to the dress shop to address our concerns with the owner, Linda. While waiting for the owner, I was talking to another customer who was picking her dress. I advised her to look over her dress before leaving and told her why I was there. The owner comes up to me and told me who she was and said, " what's wrong with the dress?" In a nasty/snotty tone. I proceeded to tell her that my daughter and I just left the seamstress and that we have several issues with the dress. She wanted to know the name of the seamstress we came from. I asked her if I could hang the dress up and show her. I hung the dress up at the check out register and unzipped the bag to begin to show her what was "wrong with the dress." I started off by showing her the clear scuff in the material on the front of the dress. She told me, " that's not a scuff, those are finger marks, we see it all the time." Again, in a nasty tone. Next, I began to show her the grease stains. This is where she lost it. She reached down, grabbed the bottom of her dress and began to put it back in the bag and said," I tell you what, take you and your dress and get out of my store!" In disbelief I again, explained what was wrong with this dress. She was screaming at me, telling me that I am drama and I am crazy. She was threatening that if I didn't leave her store, she was calling the cops. I again, told her the issues we had with the dress. She then kept walking at me ordering me out of her store, pushing me towards the door. As I walked to my car across the street, she came running out of her store. I began talking to a mother and daughter about what had just happened. She's yelling, "don't talk to that woman, she's crazy." I immediately contacted my credit card company to file a dispute. I am so glad I used my credit card!As a credit card holder, you have protection from misleading/dishonest vendors. I am dumbfounded and in disbelief that a store owner would treat a customer this way. NEVER BUY A DRESS FROM ONE ENCHANTED EVENING IN ZELIENOPLE! First of, I live local and I try to spend money locally. I want local business to prosper but this company is a sad excuse for a business. Customer service is a joke for one and overpaid dresses. Michelle who helped my sister in law to her dress was amazing. Went over and out for us. Sweetest lady ever. She has great customer service. To come back to a lady named Kim, who was disgusted with us from the get go. You can tell by her demeanor and facial expression. We ordered our dresses in October and told they would be in in February which turned into March then April 12 to the 15 and they just came in last night. 3 weeks before the wedding. We were told they would be in on time and we would have time. Leading up to today, we have called to check on our dresses multiple times throughout the month to check on it. Never get anyone of the bridal side always went to the prom side and everytime u asked the status. They were so rude. Even rude to the bride. So we go in today and all but one dress didnt fit. I asked to speak to the manager who mind you didnt fit the part. Everyone else there is dressed to the nines and she looked like she rolled out of bed and threw a tee shirt on. Not professional like at all. She supposedly said she was going to speak to the owner about this. Wasted another 25 minutes to come out to start saying that it's not their fault and had no intentions on fixing any of it. Giving us a stupid ass barely discount for alternations. She began to point her finger in my face and almost scold me. At that point I was done being nice. She was beyond rude and it was her way or the highway. The so called manager never asked how she could fix the problem like most managers do. She didnt even care that we have a bridesmaid that doesn't fit in. I would tell all my friends dont waste your time there. I go to David's bridal anyday! And this doesn't even deserve a 1 star! read more
