Our son uses a wheelchair, and before this renovation our home was honestly very difficult for him to navigate. We relied on temporary ramps and awkward workarounds just to get him in and out of the house. We wanted to make our home fully accessible, but we were worried it would end up looking institutional or awkward. Ray completely exceeded our expectations. He redesigned and rebuilt all of the concrete in both our front and backyard as well as the driveway, raising and adjusting the grades so everything is ADA compliant with smooth ramps and proper transitions. He also added new walkways that didn't exist before, making it possible for our son to easily access every door of our home. The most incredible part is that Ray managed to make everything functional without sacrificing the beauty or charm of our home. The ramps blend so naturally into the design that they honestly just look like part of a beautifully planned landscape. Instead of looking medical or industrial, the house actually looks even better than it did before. The project also included removing several very large trees, re-landscaping, and completely repainting the exterior of our home, which tied everything together perfectly. Due to Yelp's maximum words rule, this review has been largely shorten…read more Can't say enough good things about the Builderwell team- They're a one-stop solution, and have done an excellent job for our just-under-800sq.ft DADU project in Irvine, and kept everything transparent over the Buildertrend App. In a golden triangle, where only 2 of 3 can be picked, Builderwell leans heavily towards "time efficiency" and "built quality". The ADU build is summarized into two general phase and one extra phase for us: Phase 1 = Arash the architect led the way on the planning, from 2D architecture drawings to 3D renderings; after the city approved to break ground, Alan the lead builder & team took care of the foundation & structure of the build, this phase was finished under 6mo., between Dec '24 till April '25. Phase 2 = Mahroo the interior designer led the way on the interior design, she provides further interior design & parts sourcing, that pieces everything else together inside the DADU once phase 1 was finished. Ariyan the project leader also helps greatly to sort out the communications between us & his team. This phase was finished under 3mo., even with much changes in the details such as appliances, between May '25 to August '25, including final inspections from the city. Phase 3 = Consider this icing on the cake, and optional phase that includes landscaping and utilities around the DADU in the backyard, as well as front yard touch ups. I've also hired 3rd party inspection which Builderwell 100% complied and made extra corrections thereafter. This last phase was finished under 3mo., between Sept '25 to Nov '25. Coordinator Jay was a gem. She worked to keep everything going on time. The team worked efficiently to get the work done. Now the Bad: I did not know I had to buy everything from windows to doors to sinks to vanities. That is at least 10% of the contract value. Finally the Ugly: I did not know I have to find separate contractors for awnings, solar panels and the driveway. I think that is too much for a person who is not working in the construction business to negotiate all those subcontracts.

Look wow hires unlicensed subcontractors to work for dirt cheap while he inflates bill double…read morecharges and does not deliver quality product. He had to repeat marble work twice in master and kids bathroom and admitted his worker didn't know what he was doing. The marble was uneven, not level and the floor bubbled up in several places. The grout was cracking and missing in many spots throughout. The wood floors were installed with gaps and splintered wood. His workers left unsanitary environment. His worker admitted to not being licensed or employed. This raised red flags after seeing the poor quality work. A month over deadline and he is still trying to redo marble but won't disclose who his contractors are upon request which is illegal. Therefore, I can't check his workers against insurance, bond or license. Would only give me contractor company name and that is it, which is illegal according to sb517 7159 section under disclosures of BPC. He had in his contract he would deliver bookcases that were painted and then changed it to upscale me in a kitchen remodel or high additional charge. He did not catch or remedy any mistakes or defects in his work leading to tons of my time spent supervising his guys and keeping an eye out for damages and major defects. He did not how to do the trades he subbed out and had no clue what was industry standard. He didn't plan in advance for specs of materials costing money and time including not accommodating two vanities, shower plumbing needs to be Moved to be centered. And thousands in materials ie Marble and tile to redo the bathroom a 3rd time. He argued everything pointed out and would say it's normal when obviously a problem. If you want a salesman with overinflated prices and cheap illegal labor so he can profit then don't be amazed when Lookwow fails to wow and walks away with all your money and another renovation to fix everything when he leaves.
