My family is currently undergoing a kitchen and bathroom renovation, and unfortunately, we ran into…read morean unexpected asbestos issue that forced our contractor to pause construction. Since we're living in the house during the renovation, the delay was especially stressful--we really couldn't afford to wait weeks to get the issue resolved. I called over 10 asbestos companies. A few returned my calls, I received one estimate, but everyone else said they couldn't come out for several weeks. Then I reached out to Eisen Environmental, and Dan responded quickly. He gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone and took the time to explain the project and asbestos removal process in detail. I really appreciated this because I wasn't familiar with asbestos remediation and had a lot of questions. We felt comfortable moving forward and signed the contract that same night. The crew came out the very next business day and even showed up early so they could get started on time. They removed 12 HVAC boots with very minimal damage to the walls. I was expecting much worse, so I was extremely impressed with how carefully they handled the work. My kids and I also had to stay out until they finished. Dan and the project manager called me the moment our home was safe to return after the negative air clearance test. Thank you! From the initial response to the completion of the job, Eisen Environmental was professional, punctual, responsive, and efficient. Most importantly, they helped us get our renovation moving again much faster than we expected. I'm very happy with their service and would definitely recommend Eisen Environmental to anyone dealing with asbestos removal. Great job, Dan and team!

We were concerned about it, worried about any longterm effects it may create to our home and our health, and so decided to look for a company to remove the white substance build up, treat the the whole area, and apply protective barrier to prevent the moisture. After getting an estimate from another company, we decided to go with Bordi Restoration. The work included: scraping the top soil, spray a disinfectant onto the soil, used a HEPA air scrubber, and then fitted a crawlspace moisture barrier. They just completed the work today. The work was estimated for three days, but they finished in two days instead. Everything was done nicely, with the moisture barrier fitted neatly, really clean install. The workers were friendly and respectful of our property. Communication with Craig (owner) was easy, as he responded quickly to our text messages, explained things very well, his responses being detailed, but also easy to understand. It was also easy to communicate with Donovan, the staff member who handled the scheduling and billing, as he was very easy to work with, and very helpful. The value was very good, as the estimated cost was cheaper than the other company, and the work they did came out very nicely. Working with this company was easy and smooth, and we would recommend them for sure. Thank you Bordi Restoration for the great work on our home, and also for the awesome service! Very happy with tour work! Much appreciated!!

First, I'd like to say that the service was great! Craig had came out to take a look at our closet…read morewhich developed surface mold due to moisture and lack of air circulation in the corner and helped us understand if there's other sources of water/moisture/leaks we need to be worried of. We got a quote which was very competitive and reasonable and moved forward to setting a date for the crew to clean and do a deeper assessment. We had accidentally forgotten that we agreed for the work to start on a Thurs instead of Friday, and the office called right away to clarify and sent the team out very quickly after we sent them away. The cleaning crew themselves were great! Shu, the forewoman, was on top of it, communicated the problem and solution in a very straightforward and simple manner. Was very thorough with pictures, instructions, and her assessment. Craig identified that we may need a moisture barrier in the crawlspace to really help decrease the amount of moisture impacting the walls during the rainy season. Another quote for the closet and bathroom clean-up was sent to us, which had not changed in terms of pricing. We knew that the 2nd project would require a new quote later. After 3 days of drying, we contacted Craig to coordinate time for pick up of the equipment. We also received the finalized invoice- the cost ended up being nearly 2x the original quote, which caught us off-guard. Craig explained that the labor hours had to increased from an estimated of 4 hrs to 12 hrs and covered for travel (though we only live about 2.5 mi away from his listed office) and equipment loading time, which surprised us as it was never mentioned or called out. There was already a $100 service/trip charge, so for additional hrs counted for travel felt unreasonable. The crew was on-site for 5 hours max. He did give us a discount which was appreciated, but we felt that the quotes and pricing model were not transparent. This really disappointed us, especially given the quality of service and how easy it was to work with Craig initially. We had a 2nd project to encapsulate the crawlspace which we went with another company whose pricing ended up exactly as estimated, despite taking a 1.5 days more than anticipated.

It was a pleasure to work with MG (Irek in particular) for our asbestos removal project (HVAC…read moreducting). From quote to finish, it took 2 weeks. I think details are really important and MG: - Did not cut into our ceiling, which another company planned to do. This would have cost me more for drywall repair and painting. - There was a minor detail at the end that they addressed after the walk through. I obtained 4 quotes for this project: - MG: $3280 - Company with 5 stars recommended by HVAC company we hired: $5500 (site visited) - Company with 3.5 stars recommended by another HVAC company: $3400-3600 (received video from HVAC company) - Company with 5 stars I found on Yelp: around $3000 (verbal quote, no site visit, 1.5 months out for scheduling) So MG is on the same ballpark as most companies, but had better customer reviews and got the job done more quickly. Easy decision to hire them and I am glad I did!

I'm writing to slightly revise my review because the owner of the company called to attempt to…read moreremedy the situation. During the call he seemed he hadn't actually read my review as he didnt know the details of what happened. When I tried to give him the details, he was in disbelief that this quality of work was performed by his team. He was nice, but seemed to be more concerned with the negative review than with understanding where things went wrong. He told me repeatedly how his team always does a good job and always gets good reviews. He asked me twice on the call if I would update the review. I'm giving 1 star back because they did come back out and remove the remaining absestos that they missed the first time. However they didn't offer anything to cover the cost of repair for the damages to my walls. Over all I do believe the owner had good intentions, but it seems he is pretty far removed from the actual work that is being performed. After they removed the additional absestos, I had planned to update the review and told the owner I would do so. I hadn't gotten around to it yet, but the owner reached out to me again to request a third time that I remove or revise the review. So here you go.
