This review is overdue! I am filled with anxiety and worry all the time about everything! And their team was so helpful and courteous to all of my worrywart questions. Jaime was the person who came out to our home to run an inspection and was able to put my mind at ease about any mold in our home. Thankfully, there wasn't anything and he provided god sounded advice on how to avoid and did call attention to some areas of concern for plumbing. I am writing this review also for posterity, if in the future, we do have the unfortunate need to remove mold, I know exactly who to call! read more

Fast and responsive service. Was very helpful and gave me a lot of useful information on how to manage mold in the new house.

Like everyone said, I appreciated Marco's honesty. I initially found them when looking through Yelp since we were having issues with our bathroom and shed that I wanted to get remedied. After communicating through the Yelp Services option, Marco showed up the morning of during the window of time to get a free consultation. Starting in the bathroom, instead of selling us his services, he told us honestly that we could fix it ourselves by purchasing a few items since they have a minimum charge that wasn't worth it for the bathroom fix. He took the time to walk us through how to fix it and why vinegar doesn't solve the root of the problem. He pointed out things from our paint to our bathroom ventilation issues that we should address. For the shed, he truthfully told us the cost of how much it would be for him to fix it versus us doing it ourselves or hiring some people he was training instead. He wasn't afraid to recommend other people instead of himself and I truly appreciated the information he gave us. We told him we wanted it to be a gym and he even gave recommendations on how to prevent moisture problems in the future. Sometimes it's tough with people being salespeople and selling their services (and I get that they need to sell themselves for their business) but I'm grateful to meet people like Marco who I'd definitely recommend to anyone who needed mold remediation services. read more

I really appreciate this honest business. Marco came by, assessed our issue and his answer really blew me away. He said if it were his house, he'd do the job himself to save money and told us exactly what to do. He could've preyed on us and told us we needed a lot of work but he was so honest. I'd totally recommend working with him and if we have any major mold issues in the future, I'd want to work with an owner like him. If he says you need mold remediation, you can likely trust that you really need it. He won't scam you if you don't. read more

Jaime came out to check out our space today for mold and humidity issues. We were so impressed by the experience that I felt compelled to leave a review right away. He was absolutely fantastic, and the complete opposite of pushy. Jaime was incredibly honest and never tried to sell us on remediation services we didn't need - total opposite of another company who checked out our space, saving us thousands of dollars. Instead, he took the time to clearly explain what he suspects is going on and offered thoughtful, practical suggestions that we should tackle first to address our humidity issues. He even called out a few things in our home that other contractors never noticed and pointed it out to us! He spent a generous amount of time with us, was extremely patient in answering all of our questions, and you could immediately tell how knowledgeable he is. It never felt like a sales pitch, just someone with real expertise and integrity and genuinely wants to help you make the right decision. After working with Jaime, it's very clear why One Call has so many 5-star reviews. If we do end up needing mold remediation services in the future, we wouldn't hesitate for a second to use them. These guys are honest, experienced, and I highly, highly recommend having them come check out your space if you need these type of services. read more

Very responsive, reasonable with cost, do not try to sell more than is needed. A team i can trust.

We recently discovered mold on a storage closet wall and found ourselves in need of mold remediation. We suspect it was the result of a hot water heater leak a couple of years ago that we "thought" we had taken care of. Never having had to deal with this before, we started researching, and soon realized "mold" can be a big headache and big expense and needs to be handled correctly. We received 3 quotes and decided to go with One Call Services. First contact was with Marco, the owner. Very friendly, professional and helpful. Jamie was the representative that came to the house to check out our situation so he could provide us with a quote. Again friendly, professional, knowledgable, did some preliminary testing with a meter, and walked us through the steps they would take so we knew exactly what to expect if we went with them. We had One Call Services' estimate by the end of that same day and were soon on their calendar. They give us a competitive quote - neither the highest or the lowest, BUT the real reason we chose One Call Services was a level of comfort and confidence that we received from both Marco and Jamie and the feel that this company had integrity; That they would do a good job and do it right so this wouldn't come back to haunt us again in another couple of years, and that they wouldn't take us for any more than was needed. A crew of 3 came to do the work - Jorge, John and Israel. Customer service is obviously a priority with this company. Again, these 3 guys were friendly, polite, considerate, respectful, clean, efficient and communicated well; Easy to have around the house. They efficiently prepped the house covering our floors and anything else that could not be moved out of the work area. Then they set up enclosures sealing off the work areas to prevent mold contamination while they removed the necessary materials. When all of the contaminated materials were bagged and removed, HEPA filters were set up to clean the air left in the chambers while the treated areas dried. From start to finish, we were very impressed with One Call Services and although I don't wish this need on anyone, we highly recommend them to anyone who does. read more

We had a mold issue in our bathroom and wasn't sure how to remedy it...we were able to connect with Marco and his team who was able to give us an honest assessment and how to prevent mold in the future. Thank you very much for getting this project done in a timely manner! read more

I called up One Call Services at least twice now and both times Jaime came out to assess the damage. He was punctual, communicative, and polite. He gave his honest advice and the different possibilities, course of actions, and experiences he's seen in other jobs that allowed me to make the best decision on how to proceed with the water damage I was dealing with. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call again based on my interactions with Jaime alone. Thanks again. read more

I recently communicated with this business with a concern about my home's air quality. I appreciated their quick and honest response to my questions. Marco apologized for the mix up. He gave me 20% off. In the end, everything worked out and I would recommend his company to others.

I was looking for odor removal services and came across One Call Services and messaged the business on Yelp. Marco was very quick to reply back and provided information that was very helpful. He offered a free evaluation and was able to do it the same day. I was able to ask questions and Marco took the time to ensure I understood the process. He was very knowledgeable and I went ahead with his recommendation. He was matter of fact and honest. I also trusted that he has been in this business for 12 years so experience matters and so I'm glad I went ahead with One Call Services! read more

Marco was great. Really quick, timely responses after I was worried about some mold in the bathroom. It turned out to be a minor thing just due to maintenance that we could fix ourselves, but we really appreciated his honesty and willingness to give us some pointers during the inspection. Real friendly and warm guy. If we ever need these guys back for a bigger issue they will be the first we call. Thanks Marco! read more

This review is for a visit in October 20, 2025. I called and hired One Call Services after seeing their track record and reviews on Yelp. I selected One Call Service because they agreed to come when I needed them, though being located in Fremont they were further away than companies not responding closer to where I live. I spoke with Marco, the owner, and said I wanted to have someone inspect a problem area for mold. He said they'd come to look at the area, and either give a verbal report of what they found or take a test to send to a lab for a report on the results. I'd had my carpets shampooed two weeks before for the first time since buying my place. The carpet cleaning uncovered an area on the carpet by the entryway that, when dry, showed a fairly large area within which darker irregular sections showed up, not visible before. I had the carpet cleaning company come back to re-treat the specific colored areas, but the 2nd shampooing didn't change what had appeared before. When re-treating the spots, the cleaning company's person said that the liquid he was extracting there seemed to be soapy/bubbly. I had to rent 2 carpet blowers to help dry the carpet after the first cleaning as the carpets seemed very wet, taking longer than expected to dry. Because of this, seeing those dark irregular areas appear made me concerned it might be caused by mold. I needed to have new furniture delivered but wanted to have the areas inspected first and, if an expert felt it necessary, I wanted test samples sent to a lab for final determination. Jaime, the manager at One Call Services, was the person who conducted the visit. He texted me when he was leaving and gave me an ETA. I was kept informed of changes in arrival. Jaime was polite, professional and listened to my concerns, asking pertinent questions. He inspected the affected areas carefully, noting they were dry, but felt different to the touch than other nearby areas that hadn't developed the darkening. I also could feel that it seemed as if the fibers were matted as if something had spilled on them. Jaime's final evaluation was that it didn't seem to be mold, and in his opinion there didn't seem to be a reason to take a sample of the environment or carpet to incur the expense of testing for mold. He was straightforward, patient and answered other questions I posed about accidental water overflows from appliances and how to be aware of them. In the end, he did not charge me for the visit and time spent looking at my problem or answering my questions. I was very satisfied with the exchange and his demeanor. I would not hesitate to hire One Call Svces again if there were a need in the future. read more

We have a rental house that had a leak. After fixing the leak we need to do water damage repair. We called several water damage repair services. Marco of One Call Services came quickly to take a look and gave a very competitive estimation. The did the job thoroughly and gave a clear day by day report and pictures. They also help provide information when we need to do insurance claim. We will recommend One Call Services to our friend and family if ever needed. read more

Water overflowed on our second floor bathroom which caused water damage on the second and first floors. Marco and Jaime were amazing throughout. They were quick to respond, provided a very thorough estimate, and executed on time/on budget/and with high quality. They shared their knowledge and always answered every one of our questions. By the end, everything looked exactly as it did before. Highly recommend if you have any water damage issues. read more

Worked with Jaime on this and had a great experience. He was very patient and clear with the extent of work that was needed for my water damage / mold remediation and even took time to explain items on his quote on the phone prior to starting the job. They were very thorough with the cleaning/ removal of the molded drywalls and kept me in the loop with the work that is needed as they peeled back pieces to see the extent of the damage beyond what we could see. The job was finished on schedule and they did a great job cleaning up and asking if I had any more questions. They were pricier than other quotes I had but i ultimately choose them because they included more work that , (using hepa filtered vaccums to clean surfaces, anti mold solutions on all surfaces) that other vendors did no include. read more

I am going to leave this review for Marco at One Call even though I did not order any services from them. On a Friday night, after recent rains, as soon as I started the heating, a moldy smell started coming from all the vents. Since it was late, there was nothing much I could do except turn off the HVAC for the night. Saturday morning, I started calling around, and had a chat with Marco. Over about 15 minutes, he listened to my problem, gave his opinion about what things might have gone wrong, and how I could proceed to troubleshoot the problem. He even suggested getting HVAC experts if the problem persisted, and was helpful in answering questions about how I could go about doing a air test and how much it would cost, and even suggested I did not need it right away and that it might be a waste of my time and money. Outstanding advice and support, a knowledgable professional taking the time out to help out neighbors. If I need mold repair and restoration services in the future, Marco will be the first person I call. read more

Jaime and his team were the most helpful and honest people I have ever worked with. They were extremely punctual and very organized. What I loved the most was the honesty this company provided when assessing my damage with the appropriate amount of work. This really makes me feel more inclined to work with a company: their honesty. Another thing I really liked about Jaime and his amazing team was he treated my house as if it was their own. They were so professional in finding the dry spots and taking off my baseboards along with precisely cutting open the dry wall. They maintained a clean space at all times and respected all our requests when performing the restoration. I highly recommend this company. They take all the pictures, provide logs and professional documentation to provide to our insurance. It was such a great experience. Thank you all so much and God bless you! read more

I had major water damage caused by a radiant heating leak on the 2nd floor. Consequently, the downstairs areas was flooded. After abatement of the kitchen & flooring downstairs, I called One Call Services for help with mold remediation. Marco and Wendy were courteous and very responsive. They explained clearly what they would do, how much it would cost, and delivered on what they explained. I looked at 3 different companies to do this work and I'm glad I chose One Call Services because they did a solid job as noted above. Currently, I am awaiting a 3rd party mold test and hope that everything passes. If it doesn't, Marco/Wendy have assured me that they will come out and clean again if needed. I would highly recommend these guys. Thanks again! read more

Marco and Jaime helped me out twice. Once when my house was flooded by mud and they helped to tear down a 3rd car garage storage room and another more recently when my master bathroom toilet flooded and the water found it's way through the floor down to my family room. Both cases the concern was mold developing in the walls. In both cases, One Call was super professional and honest. There are many instances where they could have nickeled and dimed me for longer rental of fans or dehumidifiers (would have been justified in doing so) but they did not. In these disaster situations you're looking for someone who you can trust. there's a lot of contractors that will scare you into tearing up the entire wall and floor to clean up the area, essentially telling you to remodel the area. One Call will give you advice as though it's their own house and money. Since I was a return customer, the 2nd time they gave me a great discount and just wanted to help me out of this stressful situation. Jaime's advice really gave me piece of mind. I could have tore everything down and remodeled a kitchen and family room..which would have cost a lot of money and time. Might have involved my insurance as well. Jaime's guidance helped me avoid extra headache. Telling me to tear everything up actually brings their business more money, yet they advised me otherwise. I hope I never need disaster recovery help again, but I can save time shopping around since I know One Call is trustworthy and reasonable when it comes to cost. read more

You will not find a more honest person than Marco Herrera. I've dealt with other remediation companies in the past such as Service Master and Servpro. My experience with them is, they were recommending services which cost thousands of dollars, which were unnecessary. Enter Marco. Marco came earlier than our scheduled appointment, and he spent over an hour, assessing our water damage and making recommendations. He used his infrared camera, moisture detector, and inspected the various areas of the floor, wall, drywall, cabinets and floorboards where the water had gone. Marco explained the purpose of each device, and how he determines damage. Marco also inspected and assesses the presence of mold. Based on his assessment, he recommended doing a few things which did not require his services. He informed me how I could accomplish those things on my own by just going to Home Depot and purchasing two things. I was completely amazed and grateful with Marco. He demonstrated that there are professionals out there, who are willing to help, and not just trying to squeeze every dollar of you or taking advantage of your situation. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MARCO AND HIS COMPANY! read more

I can not express how happy I am that I called Marco! We had one "5 star" review company come out before him saying we had a huge mold problem inside our walls(we are talking 1000s of dollars) We decided to get a second opinion from Marco and he told us the exact opposite. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism and I will definitely trust him if we ever have a real problem in the future. Thank you Marco. read more

I don't usually write reviews ( as you can probably see from my profiles haha) but Jaime, the Regional Manager, has been freaking awesome. I had a leaking fridge which ruined my entire kitchen cabinet, flooring, and some drywalls. They came out quickly, helped me rip everything out and completely dry it with no issues. Communication was quick, always on time, and frequent. Probably one of the best home repair companies I've called. I used them again recently for a smaller water issue and once again Jaime came out, figured out how bad my damage was, and started the remediation process quickly. I strongly recommend you give these guys a call. read more

We had a roof leak recently and found water damage in a walk-in closet. We called several water damage restoration companies for inspection and estimate. Jaime from One Call Services was the only one gave every details of steps in their estimate. And Jaime is such a nice guy, he not only answered all our questions and also gave great suggestions. When George and his team came to my house, they started the work professionally. They protected our floor and cleaned everything even cutting a hole on drywall. Jaime also stopped by to monitor the process and discussed the remediation plan with us in case there is any changes. We talked to the boss Marco over the phone a few times. He is a great guy, smart, knowledgeable and get to the point. Overall, we are extremally satisfied the service and glad made the right choice. We will recommend One Call Services to everyone. read more
