Not only did I get a sample of his handmade recipe, but the origin story of how he discovered it while serving in the military in Germany. It was a sweet / tangy mustard and onion concoction that I will definitely order on my next trip if it's available on his rotating menu at that time. My Chicago Dog and Chili Cheese Dogs were perfection. The Chicago Dog had all the proper fresh ingredients with a Vienna Beef dog and a soft poppy seed bun. With one bite I was transported back to my frequent Chicago Dog lunches when living in Chicago almost 30 years ago. The Chili cheese dog was just as magical with a creamy warm cheese sauce between the soft bun and dog and then covered in a no-bean saucy meat chili...just as God intended.
