Bobo’s Drive In - Single cheeseburger with onions, pickles and mustard along with their chilly - Fast Food Near Me - Topeka, Kansas

Like eating with family. Great food, awesome staff . This place opened in 1975. Proof they are doing things right

Food wasn't very good. They young lady working the front counter was friendly and helpful.

Slow and rude I will not be giving my money to bobos took over 20 minutes for a Burger that's 1/6 of a inch thick

Stopped at Bobo's upon recommendation from friends who have dined there. I pulled in to one of the spaces and waited for a carhop to come out and take my order. They were busy shuffling orders out to cars and I waited maybe three minutes. Explain that it was my first trip to Bobo's and ordered a double cheeseburger, onion rings and a Coke. The carhop said that she was surprised I wouldn't order a shake on my first trip. So I added a Oreo/caramel shake to my order. Glad she made that upsale because the shake was delicious, and my burger was juicy and wonderful. The double cheeseburger comes with lettuce, pickle, tomato and mayo. The lettuce was crisp and fresh which can make or break a burger. The onion rings were lightly battered and delicious. Now, Bobo's will be a must-stop when traveling through Topeka! read more

Bobo's is a cute local hamburger joint that has been serving Topeka for years. I really don't go there even though I drive by it daily. I decided to try it out since my mom was in the Hospital and I wanted to grab lunch nearby. It was delicious so now I add it to my list for hamburgers. I stopped in last night 5/21 with my lil doggy Hershel. They have a small quaint inside dining as well as a drive up/car-hop-they come out to take your order. I pulled into the Car Hop area and was greatly fairly quickly. I ordered a Cheeseburger and of course Onion Rings-theirs are delicious! I asked the car hop if they had a kids burger which I wanted to order for my dog. She said they did not but that they have Pup Cups, so I said we would take one snd then I saw a hotdog on the menu so I ordered a plain hotdog no bun for him as well. We waited maybe around 10 minutes for our food which was no big deal. I think for my meal a cheeseburger, onion rings and drink plus hotdog $ pup cup totaled around $17. The food was hot and fresh when I got home to eat it. I'm glad the car hop attendant told me about the pup cup because Hershel devoured it! Food/service/ is Two Thumbs Up! I'll get a pic of my food next time! I was so hungry I forgot read more

The car hops provide excellent service! Tip them well. Nothing better than a. Burger and chocolate malt.

We had an unexpected and unplanned tripped to Topeka today and after taking care of business needed a quick bite before heading back to KC. We could have hit the same ole same chain restaurant that we have here in town but I wanted to try something unique to Topeka! So, Bobo's it was! Every item we got felt like it was prepared fresh after we ordered it and highlights were the cheeseburger , hotdog, and tenderloin. You can't replace that worn in cooktop that has all that grilled in flavor. Everything else was good too, nothing unexpected. We also got their house-made root beer, this was good but didn't have any bite, definitely vanilla forward. The service was pretty quick and the server was nice! It was a pretty quiet time, around 2pm when we stopped in. So, nothing to crazy happening. If you are stopping through, definitely give the burger, hotdog, or tenderloin a try - hubs thought their onion rings were also worth a grab and definitely seemed breaded in house. Everything else was fine but you could also get elsewhere...anything from the grill is a shining star! read more

Food, Service, Ambiance 5/5 Believe the hype. It's just plain good. I and my buddy ordered onion rings, fries, burgers, and pie. All good, flavorful and nothing was disappointing, but be sure to get a doble as the patties were thin. Overall, I will go again if I am in the area. Nothing much else needs to be said. read more

Clean restaurant, food is delicious, and the help is all so nice! Can't wait to go back and try that Spanish burger

If you are ever in Topeka, check out Bobo's Drive In for some local food. This tiny little restaurant has been around forever and has the sweetest lady that owns the place (Not Bobo, but I think she said 3rd owner.) My waitress who I think was the owner's daughter was super sweet and friendly too. The food is so good and they even make their own root beer! They talked me into a double cheeseburger with Spanish sauce and I couldn't eat it quick enough... read more

Stick to what you know. Don't order something new. Because if the new item fails to meet your expectations they will not do anything for you. Used to if you didn't like a food item. A restaurant would ask if you'd like something else or comp the item you bought. Now restaurants are not interested in pleasing the customer or repeat business. read more

Burgers and side were amazing. Definitely worth a trip or two. Lots of options not just burgers

Got a to go order a while back. Ranch fell out my bag when I grabbed it and I politely asked for a towel to clean it up so they didn't have to...owner/manager looked at me so rude...will never go back lol read more

When I think of a vintage diner, Bobo's fits the bill. First off, it's tiny with seating for no more than 20 people. It appears that a good part of what they do comes from the drive-in business. They've been open since 1948 with pretty much the same menu and all items made by hand (hand cut fries, onion rings, and the apples for apple pie). We chose to sit inside at the counter. Burgers, fries, a hot dog, onion rings, and milk shakes. That was pretty much our order. I'd say the Spanish burger and strawberry shake were the star items. The rest were pretty normal, nothing special. It's definitely a fun nostalgic place to visit. Hey, even Guy Fieri checked it out a couple of years back. 2022-9 read more

Food was good. They have steakburgers, which I love. I had a shake and that was awesome. I had a pickup order and the owner walked over to introduce herself to my mom and self. That added a nice touch. I love an old school diner and this fits that vibe. read more

Bobo's is a great little diner to get a bite to eat and a whole homemade Apple Pie to go. In 2007, Guy Fieri filmed Diners, Drive-ins and Dives there and I can see why. I don't know what particular dishs brought Guy there but I'm guessing it had to be their Double Spanish Burger. This was not just some pre-formed round, flat burger, cooked to death with toppings. It was fresh ground steak, loosely packed and spiced up. It was super juicy and full of flavor. I wish we had a Bobo's here in Buffalo.. To top it off the whole staff was real friendly. We were there on a weekday afternoon between lunchtime and dinnertime so for a while we were the only ones in there. However, it's a small diner so during peek times, expect to wait in a line outside but do wait, it's worth it. read more

They serve some great burgers, but their apple pie a-la-mode is delicious. The best part is that it's only three blocks away, so I usually walk there. read more

This is a fluke find last minute as we were coming through town and we are so bummed that we couldn't spend longer here. We will be finding excuses to come back. The fastest service ever, with amazingly fresh food. I wish we had told them it was our first time because after we were done they recommended next time to get the onion rings and pie. We got a single burger, fries and a chocolate shake. You can tell it's fresh for sure. Highly recommend a stop if you like a legitimate old diner environment. read more

If you're looking to take a step back in time, Bobo's could be just what you want. Bobo's in Topeka, KS might be considered a historic drive-in because it's been open for more than 50 years. One can just imagine carhops on roller skates coming to take your order. Today it was a person in sneakers. The menu is a giant painted board on the wall as you drive up. There are faded prices on the board, but they seem to be accurate because we got two sandwiches with fries and onion rings for about $10. That's historic! There's a small eat-in area, but it's closed right now. The busy, double row of parking spaces is stretched out under a roof from the main building, kind of like Sonic but without the lighted, electronic menu. Simple, like the good old days. The menu is straightforward and also simple. I had wanted the bean soup, but they were out so I got the melted cheese sandwich with onion rings. It was exactly like it sounded--a white hamburger bun with a slice of cheese that was melted. Different but tasty. The onion rings were really good and appeared to be made there, not pre-frozen. Bookguy had a cheeseburger and fries which he liked. The portions were pre-SuperSize me style, meaning it was just right for lunch but no leftovers. Apparently they are known for their apple pie, but we didn't get it this time. If we ever get back to Topeka, we'll give it a try. read more
