Dr. Nack is a wonderful dentist! I trust him with my family's dental needs. The staff is also a pleasure to deal with.

The absolute best! I was visiting family in Phoenix for an extended period of time from NYC when my crown popped off on a Thursday night. I found it nearly impossible to make an emergency dental appointment on a Friday...all of those nearby were either closed or had very limited hours. Plus, it's no picnic visiting a dentist you're not famiiar with. I contacted my friend who lives in NYC but who lived previously in Scottsdale for several years and she recommended Dr. Nack. The lovely staff at Seventh Street Dental accommodated me immediately. Dr. Nack was a dream...he was very thorough with great attention to detail. And he's funny too! Love this dentist office! I couldn't be happier. I went in for an initial cleaning, nothing unusual. The staff was very nice. They have early appointments which is great. I went in 1/22 to have my wisdom teeth pulled. The staff answered all my questions and concerns. Told me the dos and don'ts. I showed up with no anxiety. Come 1/22. I was ready. Teeth came out, fillings in. Dr. Nack personally called me that night to make sure I was ok and answer any other questions. Went in a few days later for a check up. Today (1/27) I am almost 100% back to eating normal and minimal swelling. I am so happy I found this dentist and his staff. I am very impressed. I've been going there for over a year now, for cleanings. I was impressed with the nice decor and friendly staff. But it was most recently wowed by the quality of care I received when having my wisdom tooth removed. I had heard horror stories from friends about pain and swelling. Not only was the procedure not unpleasant, (they gave me headphones and let me pick my favorite pandora station), but I went home without any pain or swelling at all! I didn't. Every experience thusfar, and there have been several, has been 5 star from the front office staff to the hygienists to the dentist. Have not had any major work done here but have been pleased with all services rendered thusfar with no concerns as to professionalism or competence and I will continue to see Dr Nack and co. for my dental needs. read more

My daughter came to see Dr. Nack to remove 2 of her wisdom teeth when another dentist wasn't able to get it done the previous day because they were too deeply impacted. The experience in Dr. Nack's office was outstanding. I was impressed from my initial call with Cara in Reception, where she went out of her way to get my daughter in the next day, communicated with Dr. Nack about the urgency and had genuine care and concern for my daughter's situation. Dr. Nack exceeded my expectations (which are extremely high). On my daughter's day of surgery where she was made very comfortable. Dr. Nack took his time, was very personable, fun and sweet with her. He did the work quickly and skillfully and even walked her out to the car himself when it was time to leave. This is a 1st class office led by a 1st class dentist. If you want a first class experience, this is the place to go! read more

I like this office very much. They changed my appointment and fit me in the next day. They let me know about construction delays. I never feel like they are in a hurry. They are open most monday holidays. My only warning is they have a lot of product pitches. read more

Dr. Nack recently removed my daughter's teeth for orthodontic treatment and the experience was nothing short of perfect, especially considering the nature of the appointment. Needless to say, my 12 year old was pretty apprehensive right before the appointment, and Dr. Nack was so patient with her and calmed her down, she even slept some during the visit. He was so gentle during the procedure she had almost no pain after! Definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dentist and a friendly team. A+! read more

I am one of those myriad people who has, for most of my life, had a "fear of the dentist." I don't think it can be categorized as a true "phobia," but it's strong enough that I had to have 6 fillings today, and my (impacted) wisdom teeth still need to be removed, which has been the case for probably 20+ years now. (I will be 40 in a few months.) I probably would have continued indefinitely with the periodic pain and constant annoyance of the wisdom teeth (and cavities, etc), except that one of my molars was broken a few years back, most likely due to the force of the impaction and its movement. (I swallowed a chunk of my tooth, and just kind of went on with a hole there for 5 years or so, avoiding chewing on that side.) I would have periodic flare-ups of sharp and throbbing pain, but I'd always work through it and it would go away. Well, last year, it flared up again and lasted longer than normal, and it felt like it started to spread and wasn't going to get any better. On the recommendation of a trusted co-worker, I set an appointment with Dr. Nack to have the offending tooth removed. I was able to be seen very quickly. (I don't remember if it was considered an emergency extraction or not...but I was pleased with the time frame, either way.) Not only was Dr. Nack very adept at the removal, but he was also warm, friendly, and sincerely caring. He understood the fear that I (and many others) have had about dental visits, and he talked me through the process and helped settle me, even when I had a couple of choice words for him (which I don't know if he heard). :) The procedure went as well as it could have gone, and Dr. Nack even checked up personally to see how I was doing. I returned later for a plan of action (or maybe it was that same day; I don't remember) to restore my oral health. I also want to get braces, so there are steps that will need to be taken to get to that point, and I am finally surrendering after all this time. Over the past year, I've had a few periodontal appointments with Lisa, one of the Registered Dental Hygienists...and she is one of my new favorite people. (I'm sure all the hygienists are great, but I feel blessed that I landed in Lisa's care.) We mesh pretty well, and we laugh a lot...not everybody gets my humor, so that is a big deal to me. She has a stupendous chair-side manner, as does Dr. Nack and each of his assistants I've encountered. The office staff are great as well; they are always very friendly and happy to answer whatever questions I may have. I feel like it is a little family there. So, long story short (too late), I have found my dentist, and I am pleased to entrust him with the care of my oral health for as long as I have teeth and/or gums and haven't moved out of state. Even then, I'd probably still just come back to him. read more

Made an appt for my son for his first dental appt at 18 months old. Specifically asked if I was "covered" and I was told yes. Appt went great. Everyone was nice and patient with my son, so I even made an appt for myself which I was also told specifically "there wouldn't be any cost for me". He had no work done that day because they didn't want to traumatize him, which is great. However, for nothing to be done, they still charged my insurance $92. And when the insurance got it, they were "covered" as out of network. Why wasn't I told this at the very beginning? Apparently being told I was "covered" meant in or out of network. But here's a way of looking at it: if you went to school for say your degree in dentistry and you forgot to wear any pants and have only underwear to your final exam, but on your way out the door your roommate said "you're covered"..... Are you really "covered"? According to this practice, yes. According to normal people, no. I shouldve been told, "you're actually out of network". Nice people, deceitful practice. read more

My husband and I have been coming to this practice for years! Dr. Nack is wonderful and he and his staff always make the visit comfortable.

On the up side: Nice people, professional, pleasant, high quality work, they did discount the price 10% (as long as I paid in full) when I mentioned I was on a fixed budget (medicare), and I appreciated that. On the down side: Extremely expensive. Not a place for those on medicare, unless you are financially comfortable. I was verbally misinformed (very clearly) about a follow-up second cleaning; a hygienist told me it was already included and I would not be charged. It's not the kind of thing one imagines. When I arrived for the appointment, this proved to not be the case. So, I left with no service. They did show me something in writing that indicated a charge for this follow-up cleaning, but I do not recall seeing this ahead of time, and frankly I took them at their word previously when I was told no charge for the next cleaning as it was included in the payments I had already made ($1,160). This is the first time I was seen at On Pointe Dentistry since my former dental office merged with this practice last March. I was immediately impressed with how vigilant the practice was in reassuring patients about the COVID19 virus. All patients were distanced in the waiting area (or waited outside) and all had their temperatures taken prior to being seen by the hygienist. My hygienist Tenchi - as always! - was fabulous. She as well as the staff from the previous practice had transferred to the new office. This was the first time I had been seen by the dentist on duty, Dr. Nack. Obviously I was a new patient to him, but he took the time to fully examine my teeth, mouth, etc. I just happened to mention that some times I woke up with my jaw aching. He immediately took notice and recommended further X-rays, antibiotics, and a referral to a root canal specialist. It turns out I was in need of a root canal and had an infection in my jaw that had probably existed for at least a year. Thank you, Dr. Nack for being so professional and caring - especially to a new and unknown patient. read more

This review has been a year in coming. I am having the treatment received by Dr. Nack repaired so all the pain is resurfacing. Dr. Nack removed a bridge in the front of my mouth next to my incisor and in the process broke off a sizeable portion of my incisor. He used some sort of car repair tool and pounded on my teeth until the bridge flew across the room with the portion of my incisor. He then used a composite material to attach the bridge to the broken incisor, leaving me looking like modern abstract art. So, unless you don't mind looking like a hockey player I would rethink the option of using this dentist. I am making light of this now, but it is my real experience. read more

It really is hard to find a quality dentist that you can trust. I went here a couple of times to give it a chance, but in the end was very disappointed. The office, dentist and staff are reasonably nice but the bottom line is I ended up feeling like all they wanted to do was upcharge me and get me to agree to things (very expensive things) that I really didn't need. (One of the more honest staff members actually told me privately that I probably really did not need what they were recommending). I have pretty good dental insurance and would have been ok going there for general dental care, but that just didn't seem to be enough. They just kept pressuring and pressuring for me to do and buy more (a lot more) than I really needed. Worst of all within hours of my first visit they began repeatedly calling, texting and emailing multiple requests for me to give them "5 stars" as a customer review. Absolutely audacious. Would not go back, not recommended. read more

After receiving a filling that brought me constant pain for almost a year and after having three terrible dentist visits at two different offices (All Smiles Dental Care & Downtown Phoenix Dental), I followed the recommendation of a friend and made the 25 minute drive to Seventh Street Dental. The entire team there was awesome. The desk personnel made it a thorough and easy check-in. The dentist assistant put my nerves at ease. And Doctor Tom Nack really listened to my concerns. Their office was able to squeeze me in during the last week of the year (so I could use my insurance) and they gave me top of the line care. A couple months later I had an issue with the same tooth. As it turns out, a small piece of the filling (at this point I had gotten 3 fillings on the same tooth) had been chipped. I called Seventh Street Dental and they made me an appointment for the next day. Dr. Nack identified the problem right away and took care of the problem at no cost to me. He even called me the next day to make sure I was doing okay. I could not be more pleased with the service that I received at Seventh Street Dental. read more

I went in with a pain in my back upper molar. They got me in quick which was awesome. Then I walked out after saying I was organic and nitrogen was used in my mouth with me having to ask to rinse. Then I was scared into a EXTRACTION. I went with it and was charged over $400 dollars and that was a "referral price) l got home and my Mother just had the same one pulled two weeks earlier in Chicago by a oral surgeon for $175. They left me with gauze in my mouth without even checking me for a second time to make sure then bleeding stopped and all was looking good to go. Then I actually communicated with them about my problems with the price. After a run a round I got Patty "in financial " that blamed the whole thing on me and ditched me. After scared by the pain and a dentist telling you extraction s needed.. talk about under direst. Then found out I MOST LIKELY DID NOT NEED IT PULLED!!!!! I miss my tooth and this is going to lead to problems. Looking into further action. JUST SHADY BIZ. I heard other un needed crowns and dental work being unnecessarily recommended to a bunch others. My son was referred to the practice from his insurer, and called the office to make sure they actually did take his insurance. He was assured that they were, so he made an appointment to get a cleaning and some work done. They sent him to another office for his visit and he gave them his insurance card and was again assured him they took it. He made his share of the payment and thought everything would be taken care of. He was shocked when he got a bill for the total cost, because his provider stated this office was out of Network. He called many times to clear this problem up, but they would not cooperate. The insurance company even agreed to pay them a set amount but they would not take it. Now he is being harassed and it has ruined his credit, because they split the amount into several payments to make it look even worse on his credit report. Maybe the doctor is great, but his billing office is terrible! read more
