This review will also be on another social media site that I know the owner prefers. I let Joe know that I am an elite yelper and that the review would likely go here as well. I brought my 2011 JKU (Jeep Wrangler Rubicon for the non-Jeep folks) here when I ended up with a check engine fuel cap type issue. I decided to take my JKU in because gas ain't cheap and the tank overflowed the last time I filled my tank. Joe was polite and professional on the phone and we scheduled an appointment. He said that we could try a smoke test if needed when I mentioned that I was suspecting the JK filler neck issue. On the day of the appointment I did have a bit of confusion locating the entrance of the facility. I was entertained while I waited for my ride to pick me up and then dropped my JKU off for service. He called back within a couple of hours letting me know he completed the repair. In addition to that he also tightened my the track bar bolts from my recently upgraded steering that should not have been loose. This is definitely my go to place for repairs now. read more

On Point Performance & Offroad (specifically Joe) came highly recommended to us from several off-road friends, as a trustworthy mechanic that is willing to go the extra steps to really help diagnose a problem and get it fixed correctly. While the vehicle we brought in to him is not our off-road vehicle, it is my daily driver and I am attached to it. (I also plan to drive it until it dies, so maintaining it correctly is important to me.) My van had been throwing an error saying my catalytic converter was having issues. My van (dodge grand caravan) had also been makings some "clicking" noises for awhile. When we made the appointment with Joe and dropped off the van he took the time to listen to all our concerns and explain a couple of possible things that it cloud be. We ended up having a cam replaced as well as several rockers (that was the clicking noise). While he was in there and since my vehicle has over 100K miles we had the PCV valve replaced. My van is driving great now and no more error code. I greatly appreciated that Joe took the time to explain the problem and give details. He even talked with us about my hubby's Wrangler and gave advice on maintenance based on the engine type we have to help prolong the life. My 99 Cherokee XJ would run rough, stop running and just made funny noises. I made the call to meet with Joe and right off the bat I could tell Joe was a down to earth fellow. We talked about my Cherokee for almost an hour, about the problems I have now and the work I would like in the future. We made an appointment for the engine work which was really a CPM problem. My Cherokee CPM thought it still had the old engine in it instead of the new Stroker, with 24 lbs injectors and new exhaust header. Joe made changes to the CPM and BAM I had a NEW JEEP. I can't say enough great things about Joe and his shop. He's worked on my truck twice now, and on both occasions, proved that exemplary customer service still exists and in the automotive industry to boot! His knowledge and his prices are second to none, but it's the no "bs" factor that makes dealing with Joe such a pleasant experience. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm not one to fall for muffler bearing replacements and blinker fluid either. On Point did not attempt to upsell me or make any suggestions that I thought were suspect. In fact, I had to plea with Joe about what else I should buy to help improve my truck's suspension. With most shops, that would open up the floodgates. Not the case here. He suggested a simple upgrade (again, "suggested" being the operative word) and that was the end of it. I don't write many reviews, but unfortunately, I don't stumble upon events/situations that warrant them either. I wholeheartedly recommend this business, and it's shops like this and owners like Joe that deserve praise and recognition. I would give 6 stars if I could. Joe is the best. I brought my Jeep into be re geared. Not only was his price good, he is great to work with. Even checked out my AC and don't charge me any extra and fixed a couple of other little things he saw while working on my Jeep. Treated my Jeep like it was his own.
