This place is a cut above store bought musibis. It's a good snack, but I would not say it's something to replace a meal. In terms of it's ratio, there is so much rice, the problem is that the rice isn't seasoned well or at all - at least use some mirin or salt! (Sesame seeds and furikake isn't too expensive right?) The salmon roe musibi, most of the musibi had no roe, they place all of it onto one side which did not lead to a balanced bite. As stated earlier, too much rice before you get to the center - the rice needs to be fun to eat too! The crab meat one was nice and balanced, the tarako was evenly spread unlike the salmon roe musibi. Of all three I tried today, the crab meat was most tasty, but again, too much flavorless rice (I give them props for the texture being correct though). The beef sukiyaki musubi is not a trational flavor offering, but it had the same problem as the salmon roe: the egg was off to the side and not mixed/blended well! So you would bite one end and then the other to get the flavors together. Overall better than grocery store musibis, it is just lacking in blending the ingredients and the rice needs flavor!

We came to the plaza on a Sunday afternoon when we were shocked to see that there was a line was out the door. We wanted to try to matcha icecream but when we got to the counter, they said they ran out. This was about 2p in the afternoon. We decided to stick around and try their other stuff. Prices were steep for the omusubi. The yuzu matcha was on the sweeter side and overly priced at 8 dollars!! It was a disappointment and I probably won't go back.

This was our second time visiting, and we were excited to finally try the sukiyaki since it was sold out during our first visit. In total I ordered 9 omusubi to help support the business and share among friends. Unfortunately, after taking a bite, we found a hair in the sukiyaki. We had ordered five sukiyaki omusubis in total, but after discovering the hair, I completely lost my appetite and my group and I couldn't bring ourselves to eat any of them. It was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience, especially since we had been looking forward to trying it for so long. This was right when they first opened as well

O Mu Subi is an absolute gem in the Enclave and easily one of the best new spots in the Torrance/Gardena area. I came primarily for the matcha, and it did not disappoint. The matcha is sourced from Kyoto, and you can immediately tell that quality and preparation matter here. The woman preparing our drinks was incredibly meticulous with every step. When she handed us the finished matcha, she even bowed, a small gesture that reflected the care and hospitality behind the experience. I ordered the unsweetened matcha (not a latte), and it was outstanding: silky smooth with no sediment, rich in flavor, and remarkably balanced. As impressive as the matcha was, the real surprise was the onigiri. Both the spicy tuna and beef sukiyaki were excellent. Each one is made fresh to order with warm rice, and the balance between the fillings and rice is spot on. A quick tip: follow the wrapper instructions carefully (pull tabs 1, then 2, then 3) to keep the nori intact. It's worth the extra few seconds. Yes, the onigiri costs more than what you'll find at nearby Japanese markets, but the difference in quality is obvious. The ingredients, freshness, and preparation justify the price. O Mu Subi manages to combine exceptional food, thoughtful craftsmanship, and genuine hospitality. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

We happened to be at The Enclave during Omusubi's grand opening weekend, so we decided to give it a try. They were running a promotion where purchases over $30 came with a free matcha latte, I chose the hot latte option. We shared four omusubi flavors: Yakiniku Beef, Avocado Tofu, Salmon Roe, and Shrimp Tempura. Overall, they were all quite tasty, though the beef was a bit chewy. I especially liked that the seaweed was packaged separately, keeping it crispy instead of getting soggy before eating. We also added the grilled corn and fried chicken as side dishes. Both complemented the omusubi nicely. As for the free matcha latte, I'm not sure if it was because of the promotion, but the drink was surprisingly small, more like a kid-sized portion. Overall, I think Omusubi is best suited for a snack, light meal, or grab-and-go option rather than a hearty meal. You can take your food and enjoy it anywhere in The Enclave's spacious outdoor seating area. We had a great time during opening weekend. Between the photo ops, balloon artists, photo booth, and festive atmosphere, the whole event felt welcoming and fun.

    Grand Opening 05-23-2026

I came for the Grand Opening on 05-23-2026. They were super organized and had different entertainment areas! I was #40 in line. Prior to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, the first 50 were called to return to line up. This restaurant is located next to HiroNori Craft Ramen at The Enclave. Parking lots available in the front & back. Free parking. This is more of a Grab n Go place. The Enclave has outdoor seating directly outside. If you prefer indoor seating, you can go to the building where there are more shops as well as a large indoor seating area. They are giving the first 200 people in line 2 Omusubi, a side, a drink, and a sauce. There was a hiccup with my order because I opted for alternative milk. All the orders like this were delayed. They called 15 orders past my number before I asked about mine. My bag had been sitting on the counter waiting for my drink. Grand Opening only, I hope! I took my food out to the indoor dining area in Building C. I first removed the Mt. Fuji shaped Omusubi! I was glad to see that the Omusubi had the Seaweed pre-wrapped separately waiting for you to assemble it yourself when you are ready to eat it! The rice was fluffy and soft and the Salmon & Roe filling was delicious! I do feel like this is a premium Omusubi! I brought home the Crab & Tarako to eat later. I didn't really care for the fried chicken side, probably because it was cold. The picture shows 3 pieces, but my container only had 2. The Sriracha Mayo was good. It had a tiny bit of detectable heat. I'd probably skip the Chicken next time. I feel that for the quality of the Omusubi, $7.50 is worth it. You can save money if you order the two or three deal. Looks like they will have more than 4 options of Omusubi in the future. Next time I want an Omusubi, I might come here. I usually get a Spam Musubi from Faka's Island Grill when I order from there. I would like to try their Soft Serve Ice in the future!

I came on Grand Opening Day. So many festivities happening. They gifted the first 200 with 2 musubi, a side and matcha. I arrived around 9:20 am and was number 186 and 187. Waited about 2 hours, but plenty of things to do while I waited. When we finally arrived to the counter, we were asked to choose two musubi each. We got the beef sukiyaki, crab and tarako and 2 salmon and salmon roe. We could also choose a side, chicken or corn. We opted for chicken. We also got to choose a hot or iced matcha. Everything was absolutely delicious and so filling. Definitely get a matcha! We even met the chef from Japan. Definitely coming back to taste the other musubi options! I feel this place will be a go to place for me. Plenty of parking in the Enclave. Welcome to the neighborhood!

The staff here is very friendly, especially the gentleman in the white/tan cap who made the experience even more welcoming. I've had onigiri/omusubi from Asian markets before where they're pre-made and refrigerated, but having it fresh and hot is a completely different experience. I ordered the salmon with salmon roe and the sukiyaki, and both were delicious and satisfying. I also ordered a strawberry matcha latte, and for someone who doesn't really eat or drink a lot of matcha, I really enjoyed it. The shop itself is small but modern with nice decor and a clean atmosphere. Just a heads up -- this isn't really a dine-in restaurant. It's more of a grab-and-go spot with outdoor public seating nearby. The restaurant is located in The Enclave, which has several other eateries sharing a common dining area, making it a nice place to explore different food options while hanging out.

Omusubi is an onigiri chain that originated from Hong Kong and is now located in the Enclave. The onigiri prices are about $7 - $7.50, but if you get their combo, it lowers the price to about $6 each. While I do understand the quality of the ingredients, I believe the prices are a bit steep for the amount of filling they put in the onigiri. Three rice balls I ordered were the beef sukiyaki, crab meat & tarako, and salmon & salmon roe. The beef sukiyaki highlight was the 4-day marinated egg yolk in the center of the onigiri. Other than that, there were barely any pieces of meat in the actual rice ball. The crab meat and tarako, on the other hand, had more filling in them. Each bite was flavorful, and surprisingly contained real crab meat rather than artificial. The salmon and salmon roe onigiri sadly had a similar issue to the beef sukiyaki. It just lacked the salmon amount, not making it worth $7.50. I do understand that the employees are still under training, so I give their service the benefit of the doubt. Overall, if you are looking to try something new, I believe Omusubi is a place that you can potentially go to.

2nd day of they grand opening.

More hype than taste. The $8 rice ball with some crab and tarako definitely left me underwhelmed. The crab filling was minimal. It's warm which is nice but a bit challenging to open for a first timer even with their thoughtful step by step guide. It's a great location and fast friendly service. I'm open to trying the beef rice ball.

Decided to stop by and try the viral Omusubi today. Ordered the two onigiri set, with salmon and masago and spicy salmon along with a strawberry matcha latte. The onigiri was good, definitely handmade, and had ample filling; just wish they were bigger than the ones you can get from Asian markets in the area. The latte actually had a very nice flavor, not overly earthy or sweet; again just wish it was a bit larger for the price. This was an alright experience, I might return in the future.

Was at their grand opening on May 23, 2027. Friendly staff, clean interior, and minimalist menu (in a good way!). The grand opening special was the first 200 people get 2 omusubi, 1 side and a matcha latte. All very good! The matcha latte was just enough sweetness. The crab omusubi was delicious. It was made of real crab and had roe in it. The beef sukiyaki was also delicious. The side of fried chicken unfortunately wasn't crispy, but the taste was still good with the side of Japanese BBQ sauce. Regular price for everything would've been over $28, so this was a very generous giveaway!

Human hair found mixed into the Beef Sukiyaki filling.

I was so excited to try the Beef Sukiyaki omusubi. After a few bites of only rice, I decided to bite one of the corners for a taste of the beef. To my utter disgust, as I was chewing, I noticed that there was a black looking string intertwined in the meat. It didn't look like a shredded beef piece. I pulled out the "string" and lo and behold, it was a black, inch-long, human hair. I am utterly shocked that there can be hair mixed INTO the beef filling. I threw the rest of the omusubi away. I tried to call the restaurant at least 10 times but no one has answered. This is awful and I warn other customers to check their food before they take a bite. EDIT: Omusubi was excellent in handling this issue and we received a full refund. The customer service was excellent.

I'm not a fan of coffee so I'm always deciding between their mochi, fresh fruit, or iced teas etc. My go-to drinks are the Yuzu Citrus No. 8 and Jasmine Frost Iced Tea (less sweet for both options). The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with the spot is that the drinks do tend to be on the more expensive side, with drinks ranging from $7-9. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!

Today, we were on our way to Orange County and wanted to grab some coffee along the way. The shop is located in a really cute center with a great ambiance. There always seems to be a line, which is usually a good sign. The staff does a fairly good job serving a large number of customers, but despite that, it still took us about 20-30 minutes to get our order. The coffee was good, but not great--definitely not the best I've had. I hate writing negative reviews, but I wanted to share my honest experience and break it down individually. We ordered a flat white, which was crafted nicely, so I would give that a 5/5. As for the taste of the coffee itself, I thought it was average and would rate it a 3/5. My wife enjoyed it a bit more and would give it a 4/5. One thing I did not like was the milk they use. It is the cheapest milk you can buy, and I personally feel that a gourmet coffee shop should invest in higher-quality milk. For that reason, I would give the milk a 1/5. Ratings: * Coffee Craftsmanship: 5/5 * Coffee Taste: 3/5 (4/5 according to my wife) * Milk Quality: 1/5 * Ambiance: 5/5 * Service: 4/5 Overall, I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I personally lean closer to a 3, but my wife insists it deserves a 4, so I'll settle on 4 stars since there isn't a 3.5-star option. I think it's worth trying for yourself and forming your own opinion. In my personal view, the coffee and overall experience were not worth the wait, but it may be worth visiting at least once to see what all the hype is about.

The café itself has a decent atmosphere, but it didn't really stand out to me compared to other coffee spots I've visited. I tried the Halo-Halo latte and the Bibingka latte. Both drinks were interesting and drinkable, but neither left a lasting impression. The flavors were unique and inspired by Filipino desserts, which I appreciated, but I found them more "good" than "great." I also ordered the Nutella Croissant, which was enjoyable but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that stood out was the pricing. The drinks and pastries felt a bit expensive for what they were, especially coming from Orange County where I feel like similar cafés offer comparable quality at lower prices. Since I was just visiting the area, the price difference was pretty noticeable. Overall, it wasn't a bad visit by any means. The drinks were okay, the food was okay, and the service was fine. I'm glad I gave it a try, but it's probably not a café I'd go out of my way to recommend or revisit. If you're nearby and curious about Filipino-inspired coffee drinks, it may be worth checking out once, but I wouldn't consider it a must-visit spot.

My partner and I stopped by Cafe 86 in Carson hoping we had found our next go-to halo-halo spot…read more Unfortunately, authenticity and customer service were both missing from the recipe. Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

What a cute tea shop with a modern, slightly Japandi-inspired decor that makes the space feel calm…read moreand inviting. Their drinks were a pleasant surprise. The Thai tea was nicely balanced and not overly sweet, and the Jasmine tea was fragrant, thick, and perfect at 50% sweetness. The matcha latte was the best drink here for me: earthy, not sweet at all, and with a subtle nuttiness that made it so satisfying. The only miss was the strawberry taro, which leaned too sweet for my taste. Overall, a beautifully designed shop with some truly great drinks.

I finally got around to this tiktok famous spot…read more I wanted a matcha horchata but did not want to make the drive to a farther destination so I settled for trying this place out. It was not that busy at all. It's a small place but there's a good amount of seating for the size of the place. There's parking in the plaza & they have restrooms. I ordered their own matcha horchata and .... ...:. .... I only was able to taste milk. I have no clue how it is made, but I genuinely was like..... I feel like I'm drinking cows milk. I was not impressed at all. I tasted 0 horchata and 0 matcha it was the weirdest experience. The cashier was somewhat nice? It was a minimal interaction. There's screens to order as well so maybe he was not expecting the human interaction. Either way it threw me off unfortunately. I'd have to wait a while to see if I wanna come back and try something different. There's too many coffee and milk tea shops that come to my mind first to visit instead.
