Great Japanese restaurant in Parma! We were looking for a new place to try out, and happened on Omizu on a quick yelp search. We showed up around 6pm and got a table right away. Omizu has quite the selection of rolls, sashimi, tempura, noodles, etc. We chose the dragon eel roll and the ocean roll. They had quite the list of inventive combinations and the fish was fresh! Also, we really liked how the rolls didn't have too much rice- so, you actually get a roll with a good amount of fish! Overall, it was pretty good (for Cleveland!). We also ordered the tempura, which came with miso and rice. It was good, we just wish it was more flavored (it tasted pretty healthy. Haha). I got a mandarin mule which was pretty tasty too.. and we even got treated with tempura bananas for dessert. Let's just say, we were stuffed...!! On a child note, they have this wall behind the booths that is like a lit up water timer with bubbles and colors and little toy fish that bounce around in it. For those with children like our 11 month old.. this wall =endless entertainment. Score! Great family friendly place (our usual categorical restaurant as of late!) and we're looking forward to trying out more of the dishes...! What a cool looking Asian restaurant, loved those bubble tanks. OMIZU does many things well. The ginger salad dressing was excellent, the service was really friendly and they surely know how to roll really good fat ones. However, sashimi was well, let's just say, don't come here for sashimi. read more

Great Atmosphere! I happen to end up here on a Thursday night for a quick date. It was clean and smelled new! The restaurant manager was very pleasant and helpful. At the time there was a discount for the grand opening week. I tried numerous things and overall I was extremely satisfied. I am leaving for Japan in about a few days so I said hey wth lets check this place out! Hands down the best Asian restaurant in Parma thus far, Japanese to be exact. I didn't have a photo but the lettuce with the yum yum and the miso soup they give up front is reaaaallllyyyy goooood. I had the scallops bento box, my gf had the beef negimaki, and also the fried chicken. For drinks we ordered some kirin beer and a must have peach sake. Dessert was green tea ice cream and cold mochis! They also gave us a complimentary banana tempura which is really delicious. Definitely a must come visit, not gunna lie I thought I was in New York lol service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed especially with the cool water wall. No joke the best plate of food I've ever had and the blushing dragon cocktail was amazing

The ascetics of the place is very nice and modern. Everything was very clean and well decorated. The food was very good. We ordered the "fried calamari" and the "love boat for 2." The calamari came out very crispy and good with a side of sweet and sour sauce. The sashimi that came with the love was phenomenal. It tasted so fresh and there was no fishy taste or smell to any of it. It also came with two rolls and they were really good as well. If your a true sushi lover I highly recommend getting the "Love Boat for 2."it was the perfect amount of food for 2 without feeling like you ate way too much. read more

This place is in a strip mall so I'm thinking not so good. Walk in and the place is pretty cool with this Great Wall of water and bubbles. Menu is vast. 4 pages of specials rolls that I could pick 4 off of each page. Huge portions. Excellent presentation. Great service. Quiet for a Wednesday night so that was a nice bonus. Would highly recommend for the total experience. Decent beer selection for the right money. Would go back any time. read more

We had Deluxe Sushi Combo dinner & all of the fish used on the sushi tasted like mud. The Sushi Chef must have stored the fish very poorly, wrapped in non-clean material. Raw fish is extremely sensitive so if you are a well-trained Sushi chef you pay the utmost attention to how it is stored in order to properly maintain the freshness and flavors. This place is an absolute FAILURE in that department. Sushi rice was also shaped really strangely (shaped like a boat), I really doubt that the sushi chef here had a proper training to make Sushi. Stick to ordering American style rolls and cooked Sushi if you ever go here. read more

I love this place. Parma doesn't have much places to eat but the menu list here is endless. So many beautifully crafted sushi. And the decor and service are great. If you ever in the mood for a saki and dinner, I totally recommend this place. Came here with my wife and her mother from out of town. We had an amazing time. Will come back for sure. read more

I've heard nothing but good things about the food here, so I was really excited when I finally decided to check it out. I ordered food for take-out online and was told that the food would be ready in 20 minutes. Giving them the benefit of the double I waited 30 minutes before showing up to pick up my order. When I walked into the restaurant to grab my meal I was greeting with 5-7 others who were waiting for their to-go order. Almost everyone there had been waiting for over an hour for their meal. Giving Omizu the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure their kitchen was under staffed, but it would have been nice to know that. I'm sure that the 20 minute time frame to pick up my order was generic on their online order site, but I would have stilled liked for some type of warning on the delay of my meal. I wouldn't have had a problem waiting longer for my meal m, but having to drive there and then wait 1.5 hours in the restaurant for my meal to be ready is not acceptable. I went with beef ramen for my entree. I assumed that my meal would be piping hot since I waited almost two hours for it, but was disappointed to see that it was only warm. I had to warm up the broth in the microwave before mixing the ingredients together. The ramen was very good, but I think they really dropped the ball on my experience here. I give them two stars since my meal was very enjoyable, but I would give them zero stars for my experience if I could. read more

Valentines Day is for sushi right? Well with Omizu in town it is sushi day everyday! I ended up here after reading the amazing reviews from my fellow yelpers so i had to see the hype for myself. I expected it to be packed as i arrived at 6pm on v-day, but to my surprise they were mildly busy. We were seated right away by a cute young lady, we were treated to some water and given our menus, chopsticks and such. We ordered a dinner bento box, the teriyaki steak one, and it was enough to feed the both of us. I really wasnt expecting THAT much food but it was greatly appreciated. We got the teriyaki steak, a california roll, miso soup, salad, rice and fruit. All that for $16?! sign me up. The atmosphere was calm and soothing, light music, nice intimate vibes. Its definetly a nice transition after working all day. The steak was awesome, tender and juicy, full of teriyaki flavor. The california roll was super fresh, like straight out of the sea fresh. Their menu had a huge assortment of sushi and the pricing is unbeatable. Im really excited they opened up so close to my house as they have truly showed me a thing or two when it comes to sushi spots. I ordered the food here from Door dash several time and dined in once. I have tried the sushi & sashimi combo and other sashimi, several basic maki rolls, lunch bento and the fried rice. The sushi rice is a bit dry, the maki has way more rice and avocado than meat, the cut is not quite good, but the fried rice is surprisingly good. Overall, food was okay, dine-in service was okay (I could happen that I went on the wrong day but the server is a bit unenthusiastic), and just not appealing enough for me to come back. If I come here again, it would probably because of the fried rice, not sushi, and that I happen to be in the area. read more

My first visit here and I was so impressed. I really had an amazing lunch. Was doing a course in the area and had a 1 hour lunch break. Whaaaat? Did I just move to France ? What just happened ? So instead of sit in the car, drive through for some burger and fries and munch on it while scrolling through FB I decided to indulge myself in some sashimi and sushi and was so glad to I came here. Had a warm welcome from the hostess and was given the option to sit at a table or the sushi bar. I of course chose to sit at the sushi bar. They have a Wednesday afternoon lunch special going on and even though I didn't order from their lunch menu they still gave me soup and a salad from the sushi bar gratis. Had the sashimi appetizer and the ocean roll and both were delicious. The ambience is great, service excellent and lots of free parking. 1st i love the overall design in this place. We ordered the tokatsu ramen and ice cream mochi. We received the miso soup with a salad as apetizers. The salad was ok but that sauce they added turned it from ok to holy crap thats tasted great. The miso soup was so warm and homie, it was delicious. My mom who has tried miso soups from different places and has not liked them managed to like this one and finish it. Now lets get to the nitty gritty parts. The Tonkatsu ramen was bold, full of flavor and overall AMAZING!!!. The broth was very bold with flavors that punch you in the face. The noodles were springy and chewy. The noodles soaked in the broth very well. The pork katsu on the side was very crunchy and not overly dry. When added to the ramen, the katsu absorbed that broth and still remained crunchy. Overall this was a very surpising experience since not many japanese restaurants in cleveland are authentic with their food. This place was through and through. Time to get to the part that made me give it 4 stars. The mochi ice cream we ordered came out extremely chalky. Instead of it being stretchy and chewy, these were chalky and just crumbled. It almost tasted like its been in the freezer for too long. Other than that the rest was great. Hopefully they change that before the next time we come back in which will be soon. read more

Great date night! Had sushi, spider roll, spicy tuna roll and rainbow rolls... all were delicious. They gave a lot of wasabi and pickled ginger. Enjoyed the tofu ramen, huge portion and I couldn't finish it. The atmosphere is great, the water wall and colorful lights are fun. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Beer prices are reasonable and our bill was less than we thought it would have been. There are vegetarian choices as well as many carnivore options. Definitely going back. read more

I haven't had their sushi yet *someday* when I have the right guidance since I never had it before, however I love their kitchen/kitchen apps and hibachi items especially the stake hibachi * medium well* hooked in it. I was so miserable when it was closed for wow like a month or 2 durring this whole mess we are currently dealing with the "beer bug" (yall know what I mean.) Today on mother's day they reopened and I ordered on my phone so fast it's still smokin lol. It's just as wonderful as I remember. Having this dish make me feel like there is some hope in the world. Was very disappointed. We ordered 3 sushi rolls (lobster, crab, shrimp), hot green tea, fried rice and udon noodles. The sushi and hot tea all had a strange fishy taste. The fried rice had no more flavor than plain rice. Service was ok. She wasn't unfriendly, but not exactly friendly either. When she brought our sushi, she set it on the table without telling us which was which. Not a huge deal, but every other sushi restaurant I've been to identifies what they are delivering when there are multiple rolls on one platter. The udon noodles were good and the only thing I can recommend. Overall, there are better places in the area, so I doubt I'll return. read more
